The Alpha's Return

Chapter 119 - Undercover

"You want me to say that I am actually interested in their offer and that I will join them? How will the communication part of all of this work then? How will I be able to get any information to any of you when tons of all powerful gods are going to be lurking around?" Lucas asked.

"All of that is mere details. I am sure that a circumstance shall come when I will be able to glean that information from you. All that you have to do is get in there and become a key part of their plan. I just need you to understand what they hope to achieve, and the how of all of that. That is all that I need you to do. That is enough for someone like you." Odin said.

"And in the final war, what is going to happen then? I will miraculously join your side?" Lucas asked.

"That is right. And you will be able to backstab a few people in the process." Odin said.

"I see. Then I refuse. This is completely unfavorable for me. There is no way that you can actually guarantee me my rewards after I complete this dangerous ordeal. And when I suddenly shift sides, both sides will be apprehensive of me, and they will both try and get rid of me first. Especially Thor. He will be the first to attack me. I will definitely go to hell if I do any of this." Lucas shook his head.

"You refuse? That is regrettable. There will be no problem for you during this entire plan. After all, Fenrir was born to execute it. If all that you care about is a secure shift to the other side, I can arrange that. I can give you a medallion and you can use it to show that you were on our side all along." Odin said.

"First of all, a stupid medallion is not going to convince that dumb son of yours. And that is not the only problem. Both of the things that I have asked of you, will require the consent of many, many gods. Only if we properly fight on your behalf will the gods actually recognize our contribution. The moment that I do it discreetly, all of it will be swept under the rug, and I will be discarded. This is once again, very unfavorable to me." Lucas said.

"I will swear upon it. I shall swear upon my power." Odin said.

"That is not going to be enough. I want something that no one else will be able to get. I want one of your magic devices. I want one of those magical knuckle busters of yours. They will help me very much. I need an assurance that you are not going to double cross me, and that will do perfectly. No one will want to do anything to their investment after all." Lucas smiled.

"Do you not trust me even this much? That is very hurtful, bearer of Fenrir." Odin smiled.

"Don't give me all of this old fashioned crap. Just tell me one thing. Are you in, or are you out? Are you going to give me what I asked for?" Lucas asked.

"Well then. There is nothing much I can do. This deal is going to be very helpful to the both of us. Let us seal it in stone, shall we?" Odin asked.

"Bring out the stone then," Lucas said.

Odin snapped his fingers. A big stone with inscriptions appeared before them. Lucas looked at what was written within the stone.

"You want me to kill a god on your own side to show my loyalty to Loki and Apophis? Are you sick? There is no way that I am going to jeopardize my relationship with every god there is the moment that I am about to get my freedom." Lucas said.

"There is probably no other way to show that you are truly on their side. I will be sure to choose a weak god who is not going to be of any use, and prepare him for his eternal rest. This is a sacrifice that I am willing to take, and one that you will have to, if you want your freedom that is." Odin said.

"Some people called me a monster. They called me a demon. But little do they know that the real demons and monsters are the very same people who they pray to, and belive are the gods and saints of the world." Lucas spat on the ground.

"I am sure that the terms of this agreement are suitable for you. Anyone would be jumping with joy at these terms. And with myself as the guarantee, there is nothing in the world that should stop you." Odin said.

"Show me the knuckle busters first. I don't want some cheap knockoff and get ripped off right here. This is a very binding contract, and there is very little I can do after signing it." Lucas said.

Odin nodded and he held his hand forward. Mysteriously, a pair of knuckle busters appeared within those old and wrinkled hands. He tossed them towards Lucas.

Lucas caught them and started appraising them. He was about to put them on, when Odin stopped him.

"Sign the contract first." Odin said.

"Fine." Lucas sighed. He stepped in front of the stone and put his hand over it. Odin did the same. Both of them curled up their fists, and slowly, two drops of blood from both hands fell onto the stone. The drops of blood shone as they hit the smooth surface, but instead of sliding off, the stone drank that blood greedily.

It started shining, and soon, two symbols appeared at the bottom of the stone. A wolf and an eagle were inscribed on the stone.

"Go ahead now. I would not want you to waste any more time playing with your new toy." Odin smiled.

"I hope that you will go ahead with all of your promises. Don't give me the same bull saying that you are a very trustworthy god. Many gods before had lied to mortals, and I assume that you are the same. I just need you to go through with this one thing. If you don't, just remember. I can always go to that side for real. There are many people who can forcefully break a contract set in stone." Lucas said coldly.

"I shall keep my end of the deal. All that you need to do is keep yours. I hope that your trip has been fruitful. I will call you if it has been seen that my valkyrie has been impregnated by your recklessness. I wouldn't want a father to run away from his responsibility, would I?" Odin chuckled.

"Is that a threat? Are you saying that you are going to force me to stay here? You do understand that you are talking to the one person in the world who is fated to kill you, and swallow you whole." Lucas snarled.

"And that person does not happen to be you. It happens to be someone who is still trapped in chains deep down below. I hope that you do not forget that also. The only way to break those chains is to break the barriers in your heart, and that will be hard to heal, even when you are a werewolf." Odin said.

"Forget it. We are done here. I am going to go back. Where is Angela?" Lucas asked.

"Going back? I hope that you did not break your head. You have to go undercover. That means that you have to say yes to Loki's offer." Odin raised his eyebrows.

"Wait a minute! I never told anyone that Loki offered me a deal. How the hell do you know?" Lucas asked.

"You are in Valhalla, child. That means that you are in my domain. You still have not left it. Anything that happens in my domain is known to me. There is a reason that people say that the walls have ears." Odin chuckled. "And your female friend is in sky room thirty three. I suggest that you take her away from there immediately. She is having a little trouble coping with the fact that she knows the person who killed almost everyone in Valhalla." Odin said.

"She can fend for herself. After all, there is a reason that she is in the council." Lucas shook his head. "There are more things that I worry about now."

Lucas moved forward and past Odin. They did not say anything to each other. Lucas looked back once more to see what Odin was going to do, but the hallway was empty now. Odin was gone.

"So then, Fenrir. How the hell are we going to contact your father? I have no idea what he does in his past time." Lucas asked.
