The Alpha's Return

Chapter 108 - Motivation

"Fine. Under one condition."

"What is it?" Lucas looked at her eagerly.

"You have to win. You against every single one of them, and you cannot kill more than half of the warriors. You will not have a single person on your side." Brinhyldr said.

"And all of them will be standing before me half naked. All of them. If even one of them is not there, and one of them is not dressed according to attire, then you yourself will be accompanying me for the day... and for the night. And it won't be like I will be asking you for permission." Lucas said.

"You are dreaming if you think that any one of my sisters will ever want to sleep with you." Brinhyldr shotued at him.

"Honestly, that was never my goal. Just looking at them will satisfy my appetite quite a bit." Lucas grinned. He then looked around.

"So there are no siege weapons or any of the sort? Just plain old fighting with weapons?"

"That will be enough. A thousand warriors against one man. All of us will know who will win." Brinhyldr said, but there was a hint of doubt in her voice that anyone could catch.

"Bring them in then. So this will be capture the flag or something?" Lucas asked.

"You have to bring the two opposite flags together, and guard that configuration for the next twenty minutes, and only then will you be considered the winner. That is what you need to do if you want to win. Of course, for them, the same cannot be said to be the same. They will have to bring your flag to their base, unlike you who can bring them together anywhere you want." Brinhyldr said.

"I want to be red. That is the coolest color that there is." Lucas.

Brinhyldr scoffed as she threw a piece of red cloth towards him. Lucas flinched as he bent back to catch it. He looked at it and frowned.

"You have to be kidding me. This is all that you have for a flag? Then how the hell will I be able to look for the blue flag within thousands of warriors? It is going to be nigh impossible." Lucas said.

"It will be at the center of the base of the blue team. Anything else and you will have to find out for yourself." Brinhyldr said.

"Where are they" When will it start? I don't see any of them? Oh, wait. Forget it. I found them. Are they in a briefing still, or is it going to start?" Lucas asked.

"The war has started. I am obligated to wish you good luck, even though it is quite obvious that you can go and rot in hell." Brinhyldr said.

"Thanks!" Lucas beamed as he ran. With the sheer force of his legs, a huge dust cloud was forced. Lucas was a few miles away from where he was previously within just a few minutes, and he could see another dust cloud visible at a distance.

"That is a thousand warriors? They don't look as intimidating as I thought that they would. Guess not everyone is of the proper standard. Alright. Just kill the important ones. Cut off the legs of those who don't matter." Lucas told himself as he started swaying his arms. He looked at the incoming dust cloud and ground to a halt. With them rushing towards him, why would he need to go anywhere?

"Why aren't you going there? I thought that you were supposed to capture the flag? You cannot possibly afford to lose. That would shame me too much." Fenrir asked.

"Do you really think that losing is even within the realm of possibility? Of course, it isn't. I am not going to lose. There is the question of whether I am going to win with dominance, or as a coward. I will fight my way in, and grab the flag. I will fight right in the middle of their base, and only then will I claim the victory. I will not leave until every single one of those puny warriors is incapacitated. That way, they won't be able to look back at me with straight eyes again. I am probably going to be here for quite a while, and I do not want to live with all those taunts." Lucas said.

"Sure.  Sure. Do you want me to step in, or are you going to take care of everything? I mean everything. I will sit back and rest, and you can use my most powerful form." Fenrir said.

"I thought that you would never ask. Look at what I am wearing. It is the perfect suit for fighting, and I will not even be naked after the fight is over." Lucas grinned.

He then started morphing. His eyes turned blue, and white fur started appearing over his body, and his spine started tilting forward, with his arms and legs on the ground. His whole body was growing in size, and his clothes were starting to fade away.

Soon, a huge wolf with blue eyes was all that remained. There were no clothes, and not a mark to taint that pure white. When compared to Fenrir's true form, it was like they were polar opposites.

Lucas looked up at the sun and howled. The sound reverberated for miles, and the sky above him started changing. Clouds started blocking the sun, and a huge shadow fell upon the whole ground.

"This is more like it. Now let us see how many people will run away the moment that they see me." Lucas muttered to himself.

"Don't be so harsh on them though. They are actually good kids, some of them. I know that a lot of them will be good additions to your cult if they were interested to change their allegiances." Fenrir said.

"What the hell did you drink? No mercy to any of those idiots who dared to call me a coward who betrayed Odin. The gall that they have to think that I did all of this just for power." Lucas snorted.

"That was a big part of this arrangement, was it not?" Fenrir asked.

"Are you kidding? I can kill all of them on my own. Lycan did give me enough power to take care of all of these idiots on my own. You were an addition later on. We just had very similar interests, and you needed to run away." Lucas said.

By now, the first line of people was visible to the naked eye and all of them looked at the white wolf that they had to face.

"Monster! What is this monstrosity doing? I knew that this man was a Fenrir sympathizer, but to think that he got so much power from the god. We have to vanquish him." the warrior in front shouted.

"I thought that they knew that you were within me? Well, guess that is very implausible, to begin with. Time to go and have some fun." Lucas shrugged. His shoulders shook as he leaped forward.

"Brace!" the warrior in front shouted.

Lucas could see multiple shields come up, right where he was about to land. Lucas smiled, and all of his teeth appeared.

"You idiots. Do you think that something like that will work on me?" he laughed. He landed on the shields, but he did not jump back. Instead, he used the shields as a footing to jump forward.

"Problem! He is rushing towards us using the shields as ground. The warriors here do not have any shields. They will be struck down immediately." a man shouted as he relayed this information to a previously introduced face. It was Frode.

Unlike before, when he was just facing off Lucas alone, he was surrounded by many people. This was where he clearly fit in better because the confidence and brilliance that he exhumed was just blinding. He was commanding all the warriors, and he was the true commander of this army. Every single warrior listened to his commands.

Soon enough, Lucas was in the center of the thousand strong army, and he was within a pocket of space that was created just for him. Surrounded on all sides, he was truly in the worst possible situation that one could be in.

"You must surrender. I know that fighting will only give a lot of losses to both sides. You will die, and many of ours will die. But our victory is set in stone. Give us your flag and surrender in the name of Odin." Frode shouted.

"You really think that you won? That is truly humorous. How about I give you another way of thinking about this situation. Every single powerful warrior is at the center of the army, at arm's distance from me, and everyone else will probably just give up after you die. So, don't you think that you are all going to die, and lose instead?" Lucas said with a deep and foreboding voice.

As he said this, his huge figure disappeared into thin air.
