Chapter 48: The Hidden Piece

Chapter 48: The Hidden Piece

"Im-impossible.... how can this be...? No way..."

His hand trembled as he said this. His throat went dry and his voice was forced to stuck within his mouth. The pupils of his eyes were bulged and his mouth left open. He started sweating a lot too!

"No way. How could this have happened?"

Jay couldn't think properly after seeing the piece of paper. Something was written on it and Jay could read and understand it.

"Sister...? Isn't this May sis's handwriting?"

He was completely shaken after seeing the handwriting.

He immediately began reading it.

__________

THE LETTER:

Hello,

I am May Down, one of the descendants of the Dark Family. I was given the task of protecting the city which I miserably failed due to three reasons.

1] The Altar that was seen was in fact a well made illusion. The real altar was actually hidden within the Eternal Lake.

2] One of the legendary beasts resides in the lake which was at least S-Rank with all capabilities transcending the given rank.

3] I was betrayed by my own power since the power of darkness couldn't be used inside the Tomb.

I'm leaving this letter to the descendants who come after me if they were also given the same task. I'm leaving this letter with the Koriantans, even though you may not know their language, you need to understand that they are good people and will bring no harm to you.

I would also like to make a personal note... I mean... Jay, if you are reading this then... I guess you have surpassed my and dad's expectations. I hope you will be able to complete this mission and don't think that I died here, I actually came back from here and headed towards the next destination... I hope we meet again.

"Sis...*sob sob*"

He cried after he completed reading the letter. His heart was now heavy after seeing his sister's handwriting after such a long time.

Some scars of his hearts were healed. He was happy and sad at the same time.

"Thanks a lot sis... but I didn't know that you were here, I missed you a lot and searched you at many places... but I guess this is a completely different dimension while compared to our home..."

He started breathing heavily. He now understood the purpose of the sub-Mission that he had been given.

"System, open sub-mission"

Immediately a notification popped up.

"I knew it, I need to somehow convey the Koriantans to teach me their martial arts because after learning that I will be able to use it inside the real tomb since dark power will have no effect!"

He immediately rushed to the Koriantans and tried to tell them that he wanted to learn their arts but none of them were able to understand.

"Uhhh!!! Again this damn language barrier!! What to do...?"

He thought for some moments with a worried expression on his face.

"How do I convey them...?"

And as he was thinking he saw some kids of the tribe try to draw some paintings. He immediately realised that drawing and painting would be the best way to convey his words to them.

He immediately picked a piece of wood and started to draw. The chiefs of the tribe were watching it keenly and slowly started to understand what Jay intended to say.

After Jay finished drawing he bowed and asked again in a normal but much respectful way and the chiefs started to discuss among them.

And after a bit of discussion they immediately agreed and nodded their heads with smiles.

Jay was thrilled to learn new arts so he immediately prepared himself to go to the battle area and one of the elders accompanied him to teach him the styles and techniques.
