Temporal Pearls

Chapter 260: Gawee Traveller Cart

The moment Seth reached the hotel where he was staying, Seth saw a cage. In it was a spider with a piece of paper on it.

"Mr Red Canvas. I'm sorry to dump her with you. I can't trust anyone to take care of her like you. Your fate is intertwined. Forgive me. Her name is Suala!"

Seth sighed as he looked at the spider and it was looking at him with her numerous eyes. "Now, this is…" he shook his head as he took the cage inside the room.

Seth sat down and he checked the cage stats.

[Silk Factory]

~Type: Portable Factory

~Raw Materials: Silk, liquid light, texture fluid

~Worker: Spider Silk

~Product: Fabric of different quality and texture and colour

~Production time: 1 meter silk far day

[Note: Production depends on workers' condition. The higher level the faster it will be. Also, the more complex and quality of the fabric the longer it takes]

_______

"Hello, Suala!" Seth said as he stared at the spider. The spider that looked like a normal long-legged spider turned to him. It seemed to know its name.

"It seems you have enough food for a month, let me add this one thing for you then!" Seth slipped one of the three oval moons remaining with him. The rest was taken by the womb to finish nurturing the Embryo Tomb.

The oval moon slipped into her water tank and she quickly went there to drink. She then somewhat tapped it many times and the crystal vanished.

Somehow it manifested above her head before she became motionless which made Seth think she was asleep.

He didn't dwell on how it was able to do that as he knew certain creatures have their ability. He can't use the crystal but he knows humans and animals can.

He then pulled out his Red Book. The form was the same as when it was created. But now it has merged with Embryo Tome.

The blessing did more than aid the womb but also made the Arf book react.

Now, on the front was the Arf book but the back cover was the Embryo tome. But its name was no longer that.

[Silence Tome]

[This tome was merged with a greater tome to silence the thing it contained. Something, you don't need to meet now.]

Seth sighed as he looked at the description. The tome has no pages; it just occupied the back cover of the Arf book.

But that wasn't the only thing, he checked his left hand, which had the stigma of Moon Blessing that boosts him when he needs it, especially under the moon.

But right now on his right hand, just around the palm wrist was another tattoo that was more of a spiral pattern that he saw in the trial room but those were of the creature he had a glaring contest with.

Inside the pattern lay a soft blob of a creature, a fetus, growing silently feeding off Seth's aura as nourishment.

Under the blessings of the moon, the one creature he was supposed to have was forcefully split into two. One halve was silenced in the Arf Book while the other was now on Seth's body growing.

*****

"AHAHAHA. Red Canvas is amazing, he really conquered the whole Trial Ruin for me!" Crimson Silk was ecstatic and was going around checking the growing creatures. These things were extinct since Gawee was normal land and now revived and he was the sole owner of them.

"Don't you want to know what Seth gets!" Pinki asked her husband. She seemed to be like a spectre, always beside him as long as he was alone.

Crimson Silk smirked and said, "The Swimmer and the Great Maw!" he lingered as if checking something and said, "Red Canvas is strange, he is Grade 5 Human but he is more than that, I never saw anyone ignore the nightmares rambling as if it was nothing. I think he is a blessed one!"

"I think so too. The fact Red Moon suffered just trying to possess him meant something. But what are they, the Swimmer and Great maw!" Pinki asked.

With a snap of his hand, a very old Tome appeared and paged flipped as he went through them.

The moment the page stopped, Pinki closed the book very fast before the content was revealed. "Damn!" Crimson Silk exclaimed.

Pinki was also a so-called Blessed One. A term referred to people with extraordinary weakness but blessed with extraordinary ability or trait.

One of her traits was to perceive danger a few seconds into the future and what she saw was that both her and body were bitten off clean with no warning.

"Well. I guess we will never know through the book!" Pinki said.

She didn't need more explanation as she knew that the creatures were strange and a single one could be many and also many can be one. Like now, the whole creatures that Seth tamed for them were separated but in the grand scheme, they are one single powerful entity.

"With this, I'm close to becoming free. I will merge them and create a unique creature that will help me find and battle the Human Medos. If I succeeded in capturing it, that would be better but killing it will do too!" he said.

Pinki sighed exasperatedly. Her husband desires to be free from the Red Moon. He no longer wants to be the meal that she nourished from feeding. But the only way for him to escape was to find the reason he was tasked with keeping the witch alive.

"We will succeed eventually!" she said.

******

Seth was willing to observe the Red Book's back cover trying to decipher what kind of creature was Silence. So he ran his hand on the cover, it felt like wet leather with no moisture on it. It's creepy and beautiful in equal measure.

Suddenly, something appeared very fast, an oval circle drawing around his finger that was caressing it and expanding before sharp angular teeth were depicted in the drawing, the next moment it became real and his finger slipped inside.

Grsst.

His finger was bitten completely. There was no pain or anything as blood flowed out. Seth frowned as he saw that but something shocked him more.

[Health: Wounded]

[You have lost your finger permanently]

"Eh…?" Seth widened his eyes as he checked the description but the deceptive no-pain situation made him feel as if it was unreal.

He quickly removed his finger from the back cover and glared at it. The leather skin wiggled in satisfaction before Seth felt his body tremble for no reason as if some part of him was truly consumed.

A single page of the back cover was formed and a strange symbol began to appear on the back cover. He felt danger if he continued looking and he quickly turned to the front cover. That's when he felt at ease.

He dropped the book and checked his status, he went directly to where he was termed crippled and saw, [Missing a Finger]

"Did I lose it completely?" Seth wondered in disbelief "What will happen to my real body, will I be able to use the finger?" he asked himself.

Everything was too surreal to be real and believable.

"Hey, you motherfucker…!" before he finished the profanity, the blob in his right wrist blobbed and Seth felt a cool sensation on his body.

Not only that, the blob seemed to have increased in size and awakening.

[You have regained, your finger]

It returned and as time went on, it healed back to normal as it should be.

"It ate the very essence of the fucking finger, that why it won't regrow or returned!" Seth grasped the situation as he gulped down, "This thing is dangerous."

Nonetheless, Seth felt the desire to tame this power, if not he would have a lot of problems in the future.

So, he sighed and activated his Aura Sight and also entered the state of Grade 5 with the blessing of the moon above.

Then he turned the book and looked at it again. In a flash, he found something vast but far away which made it feel like it was small. Then that thing clasped down.

Bang!!!!!!

Seth felt a sting of pain before he felt a certain being in him react to something, the other thing reeled back stunned.

[Congratulations]

[You have tamed Great Maw]

[The Swimmer can begin to develop normal]

Seth smirked, he knew something like this would happen. Because from what he grasped he got a reward creature based on what he can control and influence. Nothing too strong.

And the thing was, from all intent and purpose, the Great Maw was formed with remnants of all the other creatures fused into the last one that stayed in him.

The Great Maw was dangerous but if he didn't have a control method he wouldn't have gotten it from the beginning.

"Its weakness is a strong mental display. But why did the womb separate them from the Swimmer!" Seth had no idea but he didn't care anymore.

He opened the only page and he read their descriptions.

[The Swimmer: This Swimmer is an ancient race of creatures that existed 7 million years ago. They are characterized as gentle but very territorial, introverted and violent if provoked. Anudrema detonated his strongest attacks against them when he failed to win against his nemesis, The Angel Of Fluid.]

~Grade 1 Creature

~Stage: Embryo

~Traits: Gentle Swimmer, Loveable Creature

~Alter Ego: The Great Maw

[The Great Maw: This was forged using the essences of 489 strange creatures to boost the Swimmer to defend itself. However, it didn't suit its gentle nature. The Great Maw is independent and also part of the Swimmer]

______

Upon checking more he realized that the skill is ten times more potent if he was holding the tome.

Seth stored the book away and he leaned back. He still felt the burning feeling of wielding the flames.

"I'm cursed to not touch fire at all!" Seth concluded. So, he lay and closed his eyes to rest a bit.

The next day, Seth came out prepared to go for Dragon Burtali. He met with the knight and some people before he was taken out of the city.

He was once again alone in the wilderness.

Some people offered to come as subordinate to a mage but he disagreed. Despite that he noticed some people following him secretly and as he didn't want any drama, he just bailed them out and escaped.

He didn't have time to play with them.

****

Seth was riding Little Cub on dry land very fast, knowing that he was far away from any eyes, he came down and brought out one of the things he bought at the auction.

A Cart.

[Gawee Traveller Cart]

Only its name was displayed and nothing more but that alone was enough to describe it. As anything that has the title of Gawee must be something very good.

The moment he placed it down, it expanded into a medieval cart. It has the covering of a strong fabric that seems like cotton and also a solid floor of wood. There was no marking that depicted any form of inscription.

The cart floated a few inches above the ground and when Seth stepped on where the rider was supposed to, which was at the front facing the supposed horse pulling it, it floated above and silhouettes of wheels appeared.

Somehow, the wheels aren't for show but their function wasn't just to roll on the ground but also create rumbling on it and scare away beast and monster.

There was also much to be said about them.

Little Cub stared at the thing and then Seth before it turned and began running. As if a leash was placed on her, the cart jerked forward.

Silhouettes of ropes appeared on the cart where Seth sat, extending to the running beast. However, on her, there was no rope to be seen.

From the inside of the cart, Seth felt fresh air blowing despite it being hot and sunny with steamy ground.

Not long, he felt a bump but they passed it as fast and immediately he knew that the bump wasn't an actual bump but rather a notice that something powerful may have come close to them from the underground.

Yes, the glide was smooth, but the minor tremors and bumps were to alert the rider of external threats.

Seth nodded in satisfaction. He then looked ahead before looking at the sun, soon night may come and he will seek the moon's blessing.

Unknown to him, there was a silhouette of things appearing inside the cart and the Spider in her Factory was looking at it fearfully but she felt no danger so she relaxed.

But that was when somehow, the factory was moved to the side of the cart and kinda merged with it before it began to expand.

The tight space of its cage became wide and the function of the factory accelerated. Suala too was oversaturated with energy due to the Ovalmoon she consumed and was digesting, so she began to make webs upon webs which the factory immediately began to operate and turn into silk.

As it was known the only way to gain experience when it came to auxiliary skills was by repetition and so as the Suala made more webs and used her power she and the factory turned it into Silk, she realized she needed to upgrade and so she began to mimic the Cart soft cotton-like cover.

Immediately, she knew it was hard, she couldn't even grasp what it was so she cast her gaze on Seth, her owner. She looked at his cloak.

As she harbors no ill intention and was also part of his group, Shadow Glare didn't happen.

Try as she may, she can't grasp it and so she tries his main azure attire. That was when she was able to mimic it and began making more silk of the same texture and structure.

Seth was oblivious to that as he was busy testing Shadow's gaze on many underground dwellers. Every bump that happened there would be his glare at the cause and he wasn't surprised to find they were Gawee Beasts mostly and some of them had been following him for some time.

From time to time he will sense a dragon but very far away from his position.

Seth felt a tug on his pocket and he almost panicked as checked. Because the tug made him feel as if his Compass would be taken away. Thankfully his compass was still with him.

He checked the other scripts too and they were all with him, he used Shadow Glare and looked around but there wasn't anyone.

"Script Tools can't be taken, right?" he wondered but suddenly, he felt the tug again and he checked as he activated Aura sight.

And he saw the problem, the very cart he sat on was consuming his aura and the aura of things he had. He turned back and his eyes widened.

"I made the right choice!" he exclaimed.

He didn't linger long and he brought out all the things in his pocket and arranged them. And then he actively brings out his aura.

As if a fine car engine activated the cart vibrated and began to sort the items and store them. What was more, it was now using some of them.

Previously, Seth felt his compass was tugged, it was the cart scanning him for things it could use. Right now there was a projection of a large compass in the cart center. More than that, with the Marker out, the compass improved and became a shadowy map, and upon every tiny or big bump the shadowy map marked its location and if it was moving.

With it, Seth saw there were about 4 Gawee Beasts that had been following him and still do.

"This is like undergoing X-Ray!" Seth was joyful.

The change and integration of the items were slow but the result will be amazing.

As Seth brought out his items including the book, he pulled them and began to read. Just reading made him have a headache, not because it was mystical or anything but because he used a lot of short and confusing sentences. Seth felt he knew what it meant but it was still cloudy.

He ended up taking the book that explained his Aspectos and found that it was easier than the others.

"I'm right!" Seth exclaimed. At one point, he has grasped that to use the Aspecto, he needs to sometimes invoke the name of the dragon and also hold something of its value.

Now he saw that wasn't the case. In fact, doing that will weaken his connection with the aspecto in the long run and make him unable to use it or allow the dragon to influence him.

But what was needed was to internalize the aspect and make it his.

The explanation was lengthy and the procedure was confusing but one thing his Ascendent Person grasped was that the dragons need to be alive and also growing and free for him to digest the aspectos.

In other explanations, he needs to kill them, study them or even feed on them.

"This is confusing!' Seth frowned.

But what he came to terms with was that he should stop invoking the dragon names. He should start treating the aspects as his.
