Temporal Pearls

Chapter 254: Garden Of Eden

"You are a new Grade 5 human, and this is older than your current Self!" He pointed at the cub.

It's possible for Grade 5 to nurture the little cub but clearly Seth wasn't that when he did it. Seth refused to elaborate

"How many bloodlines did you obtain from Roana's body?"

"70+" Seth projected them all and the man's eyes lit up as he scrutinized them. "I know most of them but few I have never seen before. And coming by the Royal Bloodline is not easy, each one was unique. And.." He turned to Seth and praised, "Your womb control is extremely high level!"

"Alright, I will certify all of them for you but I will take a sample of each. No need for payment as I see 11 bloodlines that are new to me, they will enrich my knowledge!"

"Thank you!"

"A word of advice, hiding your identity means you don't want to interact with the sanctuary lord but every lord will know who you are. So, if your business was with the lord, come clean!"

"I understand!" Seth bowed

White Hand thieves were hunted and killed, and those who supported them were captured and imprisoned. But the chief wasn't happy about it in the end.

The reason was they were just minor problems that he could deal with at any time but now that he has, his real enemies hidden in his city plotting against him become more silent due to the commotion.

Inside an underground lab, Seth watched as the chief experiments with the samples, the focus and passion the warlock showed was amazing!

"I was a scientist who discovered a path of blood!" The middle-aged Chief Crimson said.

"I was a scientist who discovered a path of blood. It was unexpected, I came across the blood of some entity, it tried to devour me but then I won against it and developed some abilities. I was young and didn't know anything else so I delved deeper before I knew it people called many things, vampire, bloodsucker, Dracula, and even a blood demon." He said as wrote his findings in a paper.

"I was hunted, captured, tortured many times. But I was still naive and stupid." He sighed deeply, "What a life?" He muttered.

"An organization captures me and tries to show me how the world works. However, they made me realize how dangerous I have become, the fear others have of me was real, unbeknownst to me, I have caused many scourges and deaths and some of the things I made are worse than Gawee Beasts. I have dabbled with powers I shouldn't.

But you see God love me, my heart was pure, I never intended any of that, I didn't wallow in pity and despair but I felt the need to just serve the people I harmed and also stopped the scourge!"

The man glanced at Seth, he looked very innocent and pitiful, "I just asked a Council Lord about you, and he said you almost make the same sin as I do. By modifying Gawee Monster Core, please don't, knowledge is fascinating but some are forbidden for a reason!"

Seth Enoch sighed and nodded, "I understand, I won't try anything like that again!"

"No, we Knowledge Seekers found solace and felt whole in doing what we can uniquely to us. To Vincet it was killing Menos and Medos, to me it was blood research, you too must have something. It's not to stop but to be conscious of our actions and always think of the consequences"

"I understand, sir!"

The warlock nodded and resumed his work before he said solemnly,

"One of my earlier creations is here in my city, it can grow by being near me, at full power, it will require Adult Dragon with Destruction flames to kill it. But I can't point out its location, but I can feel it. If I look too deep, the city will be destroyed and be consumed by the creature and then it will grow higher than it should."

Seth's eyes wide in realisation before he his resolve increased and walked to the warlock and handed him a small book. The man felt annoyed for a moment but read the sketches before he looked at Seth with controlled emotions and relief before he nodded as a gesture of great appreciation.

Seth's search for the thieves known as White Hand was fruitful in many ways including what the chief might need.

The conversation ended when Vincent came back with bad news for Seth. The items they seized were low-level items but everything else had been smuggled out of the city including his box and Seth's sculpture toolbox.

"Damn it. That was their heirloom they gave me but now it was lost!" Seth cursed out loud.

The Garden Of Eden knight came with a leaf and asked, "We found this four-leaf embrace, is it yours?"

"Yes!"

"These are very important resources and can only be found in Nightmare Forest." The knight said.

"Yes, I came with a bunch of them but they were all stolen!" Seth gritted his teeth, he felt extremely bad for losing the heirloom.

"Can you get more?" The knight asked. He was interested in it, and his expectations increased because of Seth's nonchalant attitude.

"Yeah," Seth sighed in exasperation.

"I would like to buy all that you can obtain!" The knight said as he came very close to Seth and stared at him to show he was super serious and filled with the desire to obtain them.

"Well, it's not going to be easy but the delivery is another problem!"

"It will not. Come to the Garden of Eden with me and I will give you a Teleportation Mat. It will be able to send and receive many items from long distances with ease. Well, it does consume energy!"

Vincent said with a smile. He knew everyone desired to visit the Garden Of Eden and he expected Seth to show appreciation.

"Okay," Seth said, a bit happy but not that great of an excitement. 'This guy can control his excitement!'

Vincent snickered inside. But he didn't know that Seth wasn't that thrilled about it due to his loss and now he only wanted to know if he could get the bloodline he sought.

It took 3 days for the Blood Warlock to certify the bloodlines, he also gave Seth an Absolute Container meant to store various bloodlines at the same time he gave him a device known as BWER. It stands for Blood Warlock Essence Retainer.

The device was to gauge a bloodline recipient's requirement for the blood essence. It was also fixed with 1000 bottles meant to contain the blood.

The reason for this gift was what Seth gave him. Aura lenses and Aura Google devices that a person can use to see auras.

For the three days, Seth has made hundreds of lenses and each one can be tainted with an Aura and when used, they can see no air but the intended Aura.

The good news was that Blood Warlock had something that had the aura of the creature he was seeking. All he had to do was trace it.

However, that will wait until Seth leaves the city.

∆∆∆∆

On the 10th day, Seth left the sanctuary in a foul mood despite all he gained, the reason was that the ancient device Blood Warlock used to search the body for comfortable blood infusion declared Seth unable to have any form of bloodlines.

Seth's body does not accept bloodlines at all!

All this trouble, hardship, loss and dedication but Seth couldn't achieve his goal.

He sighed, if not because he agreed to follow Vincet he would have gone to Dragon Burtali and left everything behind.

Their journey was effortless, Vincent was very powerful and was able to kill Menos which shocked Seth to no end but Seth did know that he would never reach that power. Not in the same manner.

They first visited Stone Sanctuary and spent two days there, Seth bought some things and they went to the next city and third city before they reached Vincent's Origin Home. Battle Fist Sanctuary.

This sanctuary made Seth envious because they practiced martial arts using fists, they also used energy known as Battle Force something similar to Beast Force Little Cub can generate.

Seth watched with anger and pity for himself, he almost exploded in fury when Vincet said they would stay for a week but later the guy changed to only three days.

From a high building, Seth watched a thousand kids practising some moves in unison as if they were one. It was fascinating and beautiful but he looked away.

Vincent met with his master before they left for the twin city which was called Battle Blade, they utilized weapons rather than fists.

This was where Seth finds a bit of solace, Vincet connected him with a Blacksmith and the Great Blade Container was made for him. Of course, he gave the blade from his staff, and to his surprise, a finger-sized metal from the staff could make two greatswords.

The blacksmith called the metal Emperean Steel, Seth has no idea what that was but because he was in a hurry he left.

Their destination was the Garden Of Eden and he was told when he stood at the peak of a certain hill he could see Dragon Burtali.

Seth was fascinated by the Garden Of Eden and for the first time Seth saw something great that came close to Living Roots, in fact, in terms of beauty and human design, this surpassed everything he had laid his eyes on.

The city was said to be a perfect circle with a diameter of 500 kilometers and it's floating 200 meters above ground. Strangely when you gaze at it, most people will become dazed and faint, anyone with evil intent will go crazy for days or weeks defending their willpower.

But those with a powerful mind can view the entirety of the city and its size, it's like it was shoving itself inside their mind and grasping it.

"Magnificent!" Seth said. It was only the sheer scale he was seeing, not the detailed map of the great city.

"I'm amazed, if not because of your weak body, you have the potential to become Rank 7 Knight if you follow the path of knight." Vincent Gerard said.

"What rank are you?" Seth asked without peeling his eyes from the city!

"Rank 4 Knight!" He said with a smile, expecting a look of worship from Seth but the boy just asked another question, "What injured you that time!"

"A damn Medos!" Vincent looked at the city with frustration but the city sight made a smile etched on his face.

"Menos are giant and were said to be very powerful and more dangerous and you hunt them, how can Medos injure you!"

Vincent didn't answer but just sighed, most people were confused about the state of change of those creatures, he was before but not anymore

"What kept Dragon as superior to humans and other races?"

"Dragon might?" Seth said.

"Wrong. What makes humans superior to most creatures?" Vincent changes the question.

Seth muttered silently, "intelligence!" He understood immediately, "Medos are intelligent!"

Vincent nodded, "Yes, but unlike humans or dragons they are single-focus. Let's say, language mastery, weapon crafting mastery, or hiding mastery… take all this as a variety of intelligence focus, a Medos will awaken that and then embark on learning more of that."

Seth tried to understand and thought if that was the case they would build a society with different mastery.

"I know what you are thinking, as I did before but you see, these creatures seek perfection, Medos state isn't close to perfect as such their Fundamental desire for improvement clouds their judgment and all they learn is for improvements, that means, they hunt and eat themselves.

The one that sneaks up on me, can concoct poison, and it naturally hunts all other Medos that can do similar to its ability but can also hunt those of similar body proportion or if they have anything in common which they always do. In short, they are at war with each other. That was the case until…"

Vincent said before his face scrunched in wariness, this change of state made Seth tear his eyes from the city to look at the man.

"Hey, You are scaring us weakling!" Seth muttered.

"Hmm!" He breathed deeply before he said, "Among all the mastery they develop, no one among them develops a thing that can unite them and direct them until 15 years ago. One of them developed, Human Intelligence!"

"What?" Seth exclaimed.

"Yep, the bastard can learn and study human behaviour and mimic them down to the smallest detail. It sneaked into the Garden Of Eden and spent 6 years studying before it left. Not only normal study but school studies as well as interactions with humans. After it left the biggest wave we ever saw occurred and the city almost got destroyed before we managed to drive them back!"

"God damn it!" Seth expected he was out of shock from things like this but reality struck him back.  "Tell me it was killed!"

"Human Intelligence is the greatest intelligence in existence, superior to dragons, demons, even angels. We are versatile in all possible ways you can imagine while others have limitations or are driven by something. We utilize two forces to judge learning and development in equal promotion.

We have the Brain which forces Hard Logic thinking and we have the Heart, which forces Emotional Sways in thinking. Using this we can command extreme anger, desire, hate, love, and other tendencies In thinking, we can also command the opposite." Vincent said in a lecture voice before he added.

"Our thinking process occurs in a broad spectrum of emotion and hard logic while others are not like that. Dragons have this pride, demons have their desire, and angels have their virtue. Look hard enough on every race and you will find that each has something that drives them but humans are well balanced, we can be the devil himself or the opposite!"

Seth nodded, he loves conversing with big minds like Vincent as he always learns something.

Thus that Medos was extremely dangerous to humanity.

Garden Of Eden was arguably the strongest City in Gawee that did not use Monarchy as a system of governance. They have a council of Elders and it was not power that ran them but Wisdom below them where Knight Orders had each of the Elders have the Knight Order he was supervising.

Below the Knight Order was the Garden Of Eden Military Force, these were the armies, Guardsmen, Investigators and the rest.

Below the 500km in diameter city was Farm Land. That was on the normal Gawee Land, various plants of different importance were raised, including some animals and beasts for raising.

The city button released a soft light like the sky when it was daytime but in nighttime, the light became dimmed and showed stars sky. There was no pressure from it. The farmers living underneath felt they were under the normal sky, and only when they came out from the folding would they notice the difference.

You can't enter the city, you are brought in.

As Seth and his company waited, suddenly he found his vision blurred and he was inside a soap-like bubble before it burst open and he took a deep breath.

"How wonderful…" Seth breathed in while his eyes filled with pleasure, "It's almost like…!"

"Like what?" Vincent asked.

"Living Roots!" Seth said after he collected himself.

"Nightmare! I have been there once, it was heaven but there's a poison in the air that wants to enslave your mind and then all the various hideous creators that will jump up to devour you!"

"Well, that's understandable," Seth said before he walked forward to take the breathtaking view of the city.

"The city wall were all guest receptors"

The wall was 200 meters tall and it was responsible for fast movement bringing people in. "I feel like this city was designed to cause awe to the visitors!" Seth comments as he watches.

"That Garden of Eden for you, it's meant to be heaven on this hell island!" Vincent said proudly but Seth asked something that made the man sighed, "Is it?"

The Knight shook his head with melancholy, "It's better than most!"

The city was a vast community segmented by the number of Elders, which was 145 in number. Each Elder city has its own unique design, culture, and even language and the type of technology they use.

The one Seth was seeing was Floating Dome City, which was designed to surround the entire wall from the inside, they are also the reason for the floating of the whole Garden Of Eden.

The Wall City as most called it was a vast Garden and also the house and structures levitating above the ground by a few meters, below that was the road, small gardens and waterways and animals for beauty.

Each floating building has a small teleportation device on the floor and when one stands on it, they will be moved inside, which means no house has windows or even doors.

The floating buildings were in various designs, from cube, oval, cylinder, rectangular and many other designs depending on what it was for.

The deeper you go into the city, the more the design becomes unique and a normal house begins to appear, still no doors and windows but families will be seen flashing in and out of the house with ease, children playing with many different animals.

Trains looked like centipedes moving and you could see a flash of light when it came close to a certain house, which means the one riding the train had reached home.

From Seth Aura's perspective, the city seemed very dangerous, each structure was filled with terrifying energy that rivalled the Menos he saw in that Forest. The people walking around minding their business emit a powerful aura enough to scare a baby dragon. The older a person is, the more dangerous they look.
