Temporal Pearls

Chapter 172: Misunderstanding Players

He was being watched by someone or something but Seth ignored it. He felt that he was close to his destination and whatever was watching him as long as it was not a dragon, would not be an idiot to follow him.

Well, he was an idiot for going there too.

His walk after that was uneventful. His Green Hood Cloak and its Red Stripe gave out intimidating feelings that scare away lower Abhorrent. For those that were strong, Seth only fuels the cloak with Aura and made it more intimidating. They screeched and then ran away.

Another thing was, he wasn't afraid of meeting Gawee Monster because he found a way to scare them too.

Nevertheless, the walk was good and by the time Dragon Halo Pulse cooldown was over, he had more confidence in surviving the fight and even possibly winning.

Seth came to a field that had grass and that shocked him. Beyond the field were countless 100m, 200 and 300m mountains. As they were several km away, they seemed close but they were not.

He looked at the grassland and knew that it was not natural. Using Aura's sight he found a baby dragon within the tall grasses, he was looking directly at him.

He then looked all around trying to see if there were any more dragons. However, Seth felt that he was lost. This wasn't the place he should be.

He kindly stepped back but then the dragon moved. Seth pulled out his Trump card and then dashed faster and ran away. The dragon hesitated but ultimately left Seth.

Seth traced all his paths until he returned to where he first saw the mountain, where he heard the Dragon Roar and he took another route. However, it did not take him where he wanted.

He came back, again and again, for two hours. Until he realized what was happening. He was being influenced.

Strategically, Seth turned and approached the thing following him all this time. Right as he was about 20m away and he pretended to be looking at the sky, he muttered.

"Vela Aspecto"

He also pushed to Second Node, at the same time, his staff flashed and expanded faster than it usually does. The Aspects affect it too.

The creature moved fast and evaded to the left, but then the red whip moved so damn fast and struck the creature's direction, and the creature changed direction but found another whip on him, it changed another direction and again there was an attack there too. Not to mention Seth dashed toward it.

The ground the creature was on cracked and shattered and then it went through and disappeared.

Seth followed it with Aura's sight but it went very far outside his vision. But Seth followed slowly, making sure he took everything around him. He ends up running after it.

Seth tied the two red stones under his Shifting armour arm guard so his control was at its highest. All he had to do was spill out red liquid from the Red Signature stone he saved from Red River Stone and control it into the whip.

Another thing was his control was impeccable and he can affect some drops. Currently, he can focus on 3 drops and manipulate them.

It might seem like nothing but the control was good.

Red Liquid obtained from Red River Stone has a unique property of transmutation. Turning it elastic, a bit hard, and sticky was easy.

And that was what he did and made one stick to the creature he just fought with. And now he can feel where that creature moved as long as it was not more than 5km.

He had trained with it while he was training with Vela Aspecto.

Soon, he reached a cave underground. In Seth's vision, he saw the creature come back and he had to move and avoid it for kilometres before the creature went back. What he concluded was that it was confirming if anything was following it.

Right as the creature entered the cave it revealed its actual form. A human, Seth's eyes won't lie. Human aura. And he knew who it was.

He shook his head and he turned around to leave, he met Zambia glaring at him.

Guru Gam.

Seth was afraid of the Temporal Warrior because he tried to kill him. But then he glared back at him with hostility. He can definitely escape if he decides to.

"Why are you sneaking around," Zambia asked warily. He looked at Seth's red stripe cloak and his now tense face.

"Why are you spying on me?" Seth asked.

"What did you mean?" Zambia asked confused.

"Are we enemies?" Seth asked again.

"No… What's wrong with you? Is that you Seth? And, aren't you with the Great Blast Dragon, why are you alone!"

'He is stronger than me but why is he acting ignorant? Isn't he the one that ordered that player to spy on me and disrupt my travel intuition?'

"She is with the other dragon she was looking for. And yes, I'm Seth. Can I leave now?" Seth asked.

'Why did I meet him ?' Seth lamented. Zambia was silent for a moment before he laughed, "You are afraid of me. But I wonder why?" His face changed and said,

Seth didn't hear what he said but he found his body frozen, and his whole thought froze and only Zambia's face occupy his mind

~Tell me, are you with my enemy?~

The voice was unlike the dragon but it went directly into Seth's head and he didn't speak but only felt his intention spoke out

"No. But I'm Your enemy, you attack me first"

~Hmm~

Zambia's face relaxed a bit before he asked another equation

~Why are you sniffing around my hideout~

"I'm after Zero, he disrupted my mission and ran away. I find the cave but understanding the rest of you are in it, I decided to leave"

Suddenly, Seth found himself freed. He was still standing and Zambia was before him.

"Well, there is a misunderstanding …!" Before Zambia finished Seth attacked him with Elevated Strike.

But then…. Everything turned upside down for Seth.

The twelve players Seth met in the village were eating food inside the cave when suddenly something crashed and made a large crater inside. The culprit sprang up and red liquid spilt out of him and...

"Nullify him!" Zambia shouted from outside.

Seth found his ability turned off forceful.

"Damn it, I can't hold him. Seth calmed down. Please!" Juma shouted as her ability to contain people broke and a flood of red liquid smashed everything within the cave.

Most players escaped outside while few were trapped. The oppressive pressure overwhelmed them and they passed out.

Fist, Zero, Juma, And five other players escaped but Rena and the rest weren't so lucky.

The eight players watched as the cave was covered with thick red foam. Moments later, a head poke out and he stared at them with animosity.

"7 escaped. Hmm. It's alright. Perhaps I can take you all!" Seth said as he come out. Leaving the rest trapped in the red foam.

With the moon stripes and his +1Luck, he might not get killed.

"So, you are a villain. I kill villains for a reason!" Fist said with an eerie smile. His body began to enlarge.

"Fist, calm down. It's Zero's fault!" Zambia said.

"What did you do?" Juma glanced at the player, the boy looked away without answering. "Answer me!" She shouted

"He spies on Seth and also disrupts his paths!" Zambia answered but his eyes were on Seth.

The dark skin woman smacked her brother's head and forced him to apologize. She then looked at Seth and said, "You see, we don't know what he was doing after he went scouting."

Seth stared at them still not trusting them but he had no choice but to nod. It was a fake facade showing a strong front because he knew three of them for sure are stronger than him. But they too were wary because they do not know the extent of his abilities.

"Are we good now!" Zambia said.

Seth mulled over it. He looked at the time for the luck to expire and shook his head. And walked far away from them and said, "I will let them go after I'm safe!"

"Hey, wait, where is the dragon? And where are you going!" Fist asked.

"Ask Zambia, he reads my mind and knows my secrets. As for where I'm going, my usual Quests"

He walked away, he really wanted to talk to them. Heck, he wanted to know how they scale the cliff and reach this part. If it was easier he could convince those villagers to come and settle in Living Roots for his third Section of Quest.

But the Luck duration was almost over. And he still didn't find the third dragon. Now, he has to go back to Living Roots and check his intuitive path again. Hopefully, he got what he wanted.

When he was just a kilometre away, something crashed before him. A giant glass shield. On it was a note that wrote…

[It is yours]
