All cultivators were unnerved by how the negotiation between Feng Xue and Zhang Zhongchang quickly broke down, yet they still concluded it peacefully.
Some experts and veterans who had their fill of rain and storms realized that the two young women must have an extraordinary origin to make Zhang Zhongchang give up the opportunity to obtain the treasure easily.
If not, why would someone with a great background like him willingly lower his head to them?
They quickly decided to back down, unwilling to mess with the two young women only to kick a steel board afterward.
Unfortunately, not everyone has a keen perception and great vision. Some of them start to bark and shout at Snowy and Feng Xue as soon as Zhang Zhongchang and his companion leave the location.
"Missy, why don't you sell it to me? You won't regret it!" said one cultivator.
"Girl, have you heard the saying, "One court misfortune by flaunting wealth"? Why don't you hand it over to us so we can keep it safe for you?" said one expert who had been eyeing the lotus with greedy looks since the beginning.
"Yeah, you will only endanger yourself if you keep it for yourself!"
"That's true. Just give it to us!"
"Missy, your life is the most important, don't let wealth make you blind!"
"Yes, please think twice, so you don't make the wrong decision. You won't be able to handle the consequences!"
More and more cultivators felt emboldened and started to threaten Feng Xue and Snowy blatantly.
On the back, three cultivators shook their heads in unison.
"Stupid, they're only courting death," said the old man.
"Just let them be. They will get their lesson once they get slapped to death by young missy," said the middle-aged man.
"How can they shamelessly gang up two women?" growled the young cultivator angrily.
"Hoo, why don't you try saving the damsel in distress again? Who knows this time it might work," said the middle-aged man while laughing mockingly.
"Damn you! Why do you need to dig an old wound!" roared the young cultivator at the middle-aged man.
His agitation only fueled the middle-aged man to laugh more boisterously.
If Snowy and Feng Xue saw the trio cultivators, they would instantly recognize them as the group of cultivators they met at the restaurant.
Feng Xue finally snapped and revealed her true appearance. Her aqua eyes glared coldly at the cultivators who threatened them, "Whoever said that my Feng Family couldn't handle the consequences, feel free to try."
The people who Feng Xue addressed staggered a few steps back when she revealed her identity. Their faces turned pale, and they began sweating profusely.
They unknowingly offended the heir of one of the Great Families. Moreover, it was the Feng Family who only recently destroyed another great family.
The other cultivators who didn't partake in the bullying gloated at their misfortune and silently felt relieved that they didn't have the guts to join them before.
"What is great about the Feng Family? You won't survive if Heaven Sword Sect didn't help you," a sudden mocking voice sounded from afar startled everybody.
A handsome young man with fierce eyes and sharp eyebrows appeared, followed by a group of people wearing black clothes and blood-red bands on their arms.
Snowy and Feng Xue instantly recognized them as the Heavenly Blood Sect's disciple they encountered in the restaurant when they first came to Blackwood Forest.
"Yes, Senior Brother Ming speaks the truth. Feng Family is just a fox riding a tiger's might!"
"They also killed Senior Brother Yan and destroyed Elder Wu Qing's body! We should get revenge!"
"We also need to avenge Senior Brother Wen!"
They boldly tried to escalate the situation by insulting and blaming Feng Xue and Snowy.
The atmosphere in the lake's shore quickly deteriorated and grew tenser as time passed by.
The cultivators who threatened Feng Xue earlier quickly escaped from there using the window of opportunity during Heavenly Blood Sect's arrival.
As for the rest of the cultivators immediately retreated to the sidelines as they felt the storm was coming. They didn't want to be stuck between the battle of two tigers.
"I believe I had said before that I won't show you mercy if you dare to trouble us again. It seems that you've already decided to be my dummy practice," said Snowy indifferently as she smiled faintly at her enemies while rubbing her palms.
Even though they put a brave front, their body still trembled when they saw Snowy's hand. Her mighty slap had left a big shadow on their heart. Every night since they escaped like a beaten dog, they would dream of getting slapped to death by Snowy. Today, they finally recalled the horror.
"Senior Brother Ming, help us!!" said the group retreating behind the young man.
"Pathetic!" The young man scowled at them and slapped them so hard until their teeth were broken.
They looked at their Senior Brother with a bitter expression. They wanted to avoid being slapped by Snowy, but getting slapped by their Senior Brother instead. They didn't utter any words and only kept lowering their heads.
"Ming Xiong is truly ruthless," said one cultivator who watched their drama.
"That's one of the demon princes for you. They are famous for their notoriety and violence, even their fellow disciple didn't get spared," replied another cultivator.
"Demon prince, what's that?" asked one young cultivator, he seemed ignorant about the way of the world.
"That is a title for the four strongest Heavenly Blood Sect's core disciples. Some rumors said that they are strong enough to face a Nascent Soul Stage cultivator even if they are currently only at Golden Core Stage," explained one cultivator.
Battling across the cultivation stage was easier said than done. Only people with great talent and a massive amount of resources could foster such formidable battle prowess.
When they one day reached the Nascent Soul Stage they would definitely soar like a carp leaping through the dragon gate and turning into a dragon.
The young cultivator gulped hard and looked at Ming Xiong with a mix of fear and awe.
