Chapter 169: Prepared For Departure, Situation
'No, this doesn't flow fast.'
'Damn it…'
'This formation should work.'
It's been twelve hours since Erix has been constantly training.
He had scanned the Tier-4 four material, Plazma Star Ore, and could already reproduce it. It consumed 2000 mana to produce one kilo of its chunk, and that only amounted to the size of a small palm.
But that was all Erix needed to make it his weapon's core and inscribe sigil formations on it to make it work with the blueprint he created.
He had already tried three times and failed as he wasted three chunks of Plazma Star Ore, but since he could reproduce it, he didn't have to worry about spending a fortune to constantly buy it. A big benefit of having Metal Affinity in 2nd realm.
It took him two hours to scan the Plazma Star Ore, and he had spent the last four hours only on creating his Tier-4 weapon. Of course, he only called it Tier-4 because he was using a Tier-4 material. But it wouldn't be a true Tier-4 since he didn't have access to Prana, which only a Royal-order powerhouse could have.
Meanwhile, Rin and Lilith had already grabbed the custom-made flying ship that was ready and built and prepared for their adventure buy, practically making it a comfortable small house for the four of them.
One big bedroom took the full width of the ship at the back. Right on top of it was a big balcony of the same full width with a table and chairs and a kitchen table behind it to cook food using the meat of exotic beasts they would hunt on the way.
Lilith had mastery as a Mystic Chef, so she could cook food that gave both the temporary buffs and permanent physical stat boost using unique, powerful meats of powerful beasts.
As for the rest of the five meters of the empty deck at the front of the ship, Lilith put four magic mattresses to aid in focus and meditate to comprehend powers on the way.
The only thing missing was a big bathroom, and Lilith had a pre-made one-bathroom box in her storage ring that she could take whenever she wanted if they wanted to have a bath after fighting monsters and horrors.
In short, the ship was just like a multi-floor yacht with enough space and comfort.
"Let's wake up Lily and then call Erix. We have one hour max," Lilith said.
"So we have to reach that destination before a certain time?" Rin curiously asked.
Lilith nodded with a faint smile. "Fallen Land is a unique place. It exists ten kilometers deep in the ground in the northwest of the Nether Region, and it only surfaces from the Murder Gorge for half an hour every day."
"There's such a place?" Rin was shocked.
"Yep. And the bad thing is that once the Fallen Land falls back, it's very dangerous to go down that gorge even though it's just ten kilometers."
"Why?" Rin blinked.
Lilith grinned, "That gorge and fifty kilometers of the area around it, which is essentially a colorful desert, belongs to a being."
"Only when the Fallen land surfaces does that being stop its influence on the area and let people peacefully in."
"But once the Fallen Land falls, the area belongs to it."
"What is it?!"
Lilith was keeping suspense purposefully.
"A worm," Lilith chuckled. "But, an Empyrean-order worm. Even I would be exhausted trying to kill it even if I go all out."
"You are saying you have a chance to kill an Empyrean-order monster?" Rin was dumbfounded. She didn't know the gap between the royal order and the Empyrean order, but it wouldn't be so easy, right?
"You have no idea about my power, honey," Lilith smiled. "Although its true potential was only unlocked thanks to Erix, who acted as my awakening catalyst."
"Yeah, you told us about your previous condition," Rin wryly smiled.
Lilith was also in trouble, thanks to her Demon + Vampire hybrid situation. She was imbalanced, and her source was deteriorating. Lilith could maintain that status, but she only found the cure to her condition and neared her goal of revenge thanks to Erix.
"I'm glad you two died," Lilith lightly laughed, "And I don't feel bad about it."
Rin didn't know whether to laugh or cry, "I just hope everything and everyone I know is alive."
Lilith coughed, "Sorry. But worry not. You two can leave when you reach level 200, right? Or 201? What's the target you got?"
"201," Rin wryly smiled, "We need to reach Royal order."
"No worries," Lilith patted her chest, "I'll make sure you two get through to Royal order within a year to a maximum of one and a half years."
Lilith grinned, "After that, we'll go to your world together."
"Wha?! It takes so long?" Rin was dumbfounded.
"Well, that was just a rough estimation," Lilith said thoughtfully, "Leveling to 200 will take you half a month to a month if you focus on killing fifty to sixty monsters 20-30 levels above you every day."
"After that, you'll have to progress in some other areas to breakthrough into the Royal order, and that depends on your individual capabilities like comprehension and hard work."
Lilith smiled, "But you two will be prohibited from farming monsters for two months."
"Eh? Why for two months?" Rin was confused.
Lilith's expression became somber, "For you, Rin, I'll have you focus on progressing your affinities and bloodline for two months. You need one more affinity, and both of them at level 3. If you can add a concept or two, that would be ultra-powerful progress."
"But all of these depend on your hard work and focus. Of course, you'll face challenges daily, but specific challenges to improve your combat, not about farming monsters to level up."
"As for Erix," Lilith sighed. "We can't let him kill monsters for two months."
"Is it that bad?" Rin was startled.
"It will be if he kills monsters and absorbs natural death power that his source actively tries to absorb. If there are dead monsters around, their death power will scatter quickly, but if Erix kills monsters, then his source would make a connection with them and actively absorb their death power that is produced upon one's death, which will worsen his condition."
Lilith looked at Erix below from the ship and continued, "I just hope you two won't get shocked after a few days because his source had started to make changes in him, which was also why he finally felt uneasiness and discovered his condition."
"What changes?" Rin's eyes widened. "You didn't tell Erix about it?"
"Better not to add depression in him while he wants to focus on creating his weapon," Lilith helplessly smiled.
"True," Rin lightly sighed. "So, what will be the changes?"
"It won't be serious, don't worry. He will just enter a death state where a part of his source will initiate a defense mechanism that will start to prevent the imbalance from becoming worse," Lilith said. "For one hour every day, all life in him will completely vanish, and it will let death take over to let it spend its energy. In short, he will become a skeleton for one hour."
"In this one hour, we'll have to find some way to spend his stamina and power to reduce death power. It won't be much, but he should still focus on either Magsmithing or comprehending powers to exhaust him in any way."
"We'll have to tell him this beforehand, or he will panic," Rin wryly smiled.
"I'll do it when we depart. For now, let's leave him to make his weapon. It should be done soon based on his excited expression in this attempt," Lilith smiled as she looked at Erix.
"Yeah, that face tells me he will succeed soon," Rin chuckled.
