Splitting the Heavens

Chapter 1302: Returning to the Origin and Continental Ascension

Chapter 1302: Returning to the Origin and Continental Ascension

As they learned more and more about the state of foreign worlds and the current state of the worlds connected to the Star Origin Dao Field, the Spirit Luxuriant World had increased their frequency of patrol around their world. At the same time, the Star Observatories of the Heavenly Star Palace and the Tongyou Institution would pay attention to any anomalies appearing in the region of space they were located in.

Their defensive system seemed really successful. At the very least, Shang Xia and the Spirit World Ark were discovered not too long after they arrived.

According to the requirements set by the great powers of the Spirit Luxuriant World, a patrol squad would be able to rush over to any region of space where something strange was detected to attempt an interception.

However, disciples of the Tongyou Institution were on board and they managed to establish a communication channel with the Spirit Luxuriant World to prevent any misunderstandings.

Shang Xia wasn’t in a state to care about any of them as he seemed to have formed a connection to the You Continent. Even though he was far away, he had a feeling he would be able to complete the final transformation and enter the fifth tier of the Six Direction Realm with a single thought!

However... He managed to suppress his urges to do that.

The first reason was that he was still in the void. Even though he would be able to reach the next level of cultivation, the You Continent was physically too far away and he wouldn’t be able to properly control what happened there. His breakthrough would naturally cause a massive disturbance, but he didn’t plan to reveal his advancement to the entire world.

Secondly... He hoped that after the integration of the Spirit World Source, he would receive the World’s Will blessing while breaking through. He might be able to grow even more from it, shortening his cultivation in the level of Returning to the Origin.

Also, he had a sneaking suspicion that breaking through with the World’s Will blessing would be of greater benefit.

Especially after experiencing what happened during his trip to find the Essence Xing World, he understood the plan of the Dachen Emperor who wanted to free himself from the restraints of the world. He had a vague feeling he would be eventually taking the same path.

Just as Shang Xia was pondering his cultivation reaching the level of Returning to the Origin, Hai Yuanyuan went over to greet the patrol squad on behalf of the Tongyou Institution. The patrol squad came because it was their job, but they already knew that there would be no fights breaking out that day.

Once she was done, the Spirit World Ark continued on its way.

As it approached the Spirit Luxuriant World, the World’s Will seemed to be able to sense it was about to receive something good. Heaven and earth qi in the Spirit Luxuriant World seemed to become more active, and many cultivators could feel the difference. Various factions tried to look for the source of the change but to no avail.

Unlike those factions, the True Immortals of the great powers could pretty much guess what happened.

Actually, close to 2 months ago when the Tongyou Institution started to make some unusual movements, the other factions had already been keeping an eye on them. Unfortunately, they didn’t know what the Tongyou Institution was up to.

The first thing the institution did was to send out 90 percent of their mid to high-level disciples.

A portion of them rushed straight to the Bing Continent to meet up with the members of the Five Mountains Alliance. Under Ge Qingzhu’s lead, they continued to push south before standing against the experts of the Divine Capital Sect. It looked as though a massive war was about to break out!

Another portion of them left for the newly established Hai Continent. They met up with their disciples who also came from the Jiao Continent and all of them took orders from Sun Haiwei.

It was said that even members of the Tianya Pavilion were cooperating with the Tongyou Institution.

Finally, the last group was deployed to assist Deputy Patriarch Shang Bo. There, experts like Dou Zhong, Yan Ming, and Tian Mengzi were gathered. They went east to where they had been expanding in the past. They pressed against the border of the You Continent and the Ji Continent where the Triple Frost Palace was, scaring them so much that they ran to beg the Northern Sea Mystic Sect for help.

In the Liao Continent where the Changbai Sect, the long-time allies of the Tongyou Institution, stood, experts poured into Tongyou City to ask if the institution required their assistance. Naturally, their real goal was to probe the Tongyou Institution to uncover what their operation was all about.

It was said that their actions of pressuring the Divine Capital Sect and Triple Frost Palace had enraged Li Jidao and Zhang Xuansheng, who went to demand an explanation from Kou Chongxue.

The Eternal Palace and Yuanchen Sect even stepped in to ask the Tongyou Institution to restrain themselves as Yang Taihe and Liu Jingsheng tried communicating with Kou Chongxue to find out what was happening.

Of the final 2 great powers, Lu Wuzi was standing guard in Star Beast Nest No.1, and he immediately expressed his neutral stance on the basis that he wasn’t in the Spirit Luxuriant World to deal with any changes there.

The Heavenly Star Palace was even more amazing. They stated that their Palace Master was in seclusion and refused any contact with the others.

As for Kou Chongxue... Even if he could ignore the opinions of the other factions with his cultivation and the Tongyou Institution’s power, he had to pretend to be civil at the very least. Whatever it was, the Tongyou Institution’s current strength could already dominate the rest of the Spirit Luxuriant World and he decided that pretending to care about the others was the approach he would take.

Regarding the matter with the Bing Continent, he decided to fuck around with the Divine Capital Sect and start pushing the blame around.

As for the Ji Continent, Kou Chongxue simply grumbled about how the Triple Frost Palace was too much of a wuss. Shang Bo hadn’t entered their territory, and he most definitely hadn’t started a war. More importantly, Kou Chongxue emphasized the fact that they had no bad intentions and were merely mucking about when the Triple Frost Palace tried to make a mountain out of a molehill.

2 months passed with the Spirit Luxuriant World being in a state of extreme stress.

As the Spirit World Ark got closer, the True Immortals finally discovered the World’s Will desire to grow stronger and discovered what was happening.

They understood that the Tongyou Institution managed to find more ‘food’ for their world, and sightings of the strange ark had already reached them. They didn’t doubt for a second Shang Xia was personally protecting the weird ship.

With Kou Chongxue’s strong stance in the Spirit Luxuriant World and Shang Xia personally returning, there was no doubt they were setting up the foundations for the True Immortal candidates of the Tongyou Institution to break through!

Both high-level True Immortals of the Spirit Luxuriant World being from the same faction was already a massive headache the other great powers couldn’t do anything about.

They might not know the secrets of the strange ship Shang Xia was driving back, but they could tell it had far surpassed anything the worlds connected to Star Origin Dao Field revealed. The treasures it contained were able to stir the World’s Will, and many factions were starting to get worked up.

It was a shame that snatching the benefits from the Tongyou Institution was impossible. Even if everyone decided to form a massive alliance, they couldn’t do jack shit to the 2 monstrous high-level True Immortals of the Tongyou Institution!

However... No one said they couldn’t make deals with the Tongyou Institution to obtain a portion of the World’s Will blessing.
