Chapter 52: Chapter 52: Characters and Talks

[3rd POV] [The Next Morning]

It was the morning after the debacle with Trigon and Gwen's official joining of the Green Lantern Corps. The girl in question was still in bed with M'gann, having only just woken up a few moments ago.

'System, go ahead and do another group of five' Gwen inwardly said, wanting to get some more characters.

The ones she assimilated the previous night weren't bad, with Mother Talzin's knowledge being the best of the bunch. While Shaw's power was probably the best of the bunch.

Jennifer Pierce | Lightning | DC Arrowverse [UL]

Jennifer Pierce, aka Lightning. Daughter of Black Lightning, Jennifer "Jen" Pierce, has similar powers to him, but stronger. She has the power to generate electricity, create electric shocks and bursts from her hands, control electricity like her father, however unlike her father, who is sort of like a rechargeable battery, she is sort of like a generator. This means that she creates pure electrical energy from her own cells at all times, which she then stores so that she can use it at will. This aspect of her powers, is growing constantly. She also has electrical absorption, electricity detection, electrical blasts, electrical-technopathy, electrical constructs, electro-telekinesis, flight, photokinesis, mental projection, accelerated healing factor, and one more power. This power is energy transformation, which allows her to transform into a being of sentient, pure energy. While in this form, she can control if she is tangible or not. This form grants her an enormous amount of internal power if she contains it within her body. She is also a skilled fighter, tactician, at stealth, and is quite intelligent. Includes all helpful/important powers, knowledge, and abilities.

Rey Skywalker | Star Wars Canon [UL]

Rey Skywalker, aka Rey Palpatine. Granddaughter to Darth Sidious, Rey is a rather powerful user of the force. She is a skilled mechanic, due to her time on Jakku, in which she learnt a lot about machines and their parts. She also learnt various languages, was skilled in the usage of a staff, was talented in drawing, and was a skilled pilot. She learnt the normal usages of the force, including telekinesis, mind trick, force jump, and other such abilities. Due to being the granddaughter of Palpatine, she also knew force lightning, and unknowingly used it. She was a natural in lightsaber combat, contesting with Kylo Ren, who had far more experience, after only a short time of training with one. Includes all helpful/important knowledge and abilities. Savage Opress | Star Wars Canon [UL]

Savage Opress, aka the brother of Darth Maul. He was a skilled hand to hand opponent, and dual bladed lightsaber wielder. Not as skilled as his brother, but skilled nonetheless. Besides being skilled in the usage of a lightsaber, he was also incredibly powerful in the dark side of the force. Being able to use force repulse, force choke both Dooku and Ventress when enraged, and other force abilities you'd naturally have as a Sith. Includes all helpful/important knowledge and abilities.

Klara Risinger | Stormfront | The Boys TV Show Universe [UL]

Klara Risinger, aka Stormfront. A Powerful supe, she has the ability to create powerful plasma blasts, through her electrokinesis. She also can create explosions through this, has electrokinetic telekinesis, electrokinetic flight, superhuman strength, superhuman durability, regenerative healing factor, longevity, and superhuman hearing. She is also quite charismatic, is good at acting, is gifted intellectually, and is bilingual. Includes all helpful/important knowledge and abilities.

Asajj Ventress | Star Wars Canon [UL]

Asajj Ventress, aka the apprentice of Count Dooku. Ventress is a skilled combatant, using Jar'Kai, making her a master in the usage of two lightsabers in combat. She is also quite skilled in Form II due to her masters teachings. As a Sith, she also has the expected powers of a user of the force. Including force choke, telekinesis, force jump, and even the ability to tame beasts through her force. She is also skilled in hand to hand combat, and piloting. Includes all helpful/important knowledge and abilities.

'Hmm, not bad. Jennifer is definitely the best of the bunch. Combining her metahuman ability with Shaw's, I'm pretty sure I can bring out far more power than she could. Rey is...kind of useless, as she has little skill in lightsabers, same with Ren. The two wield them like baseball bats more than lightsabers. Savage and Ventress are both good though. Their powers in the force and skills in lightsaber combat, could prove to be useful in the future' Gwen thought with a hum.

'Stormfront is basically just making my electrokinesis stronger, and that's about it' Gwen thought with a sigh, as Stormfronts powers were kind of useless to her.

'Go ahead and assimilate them' Gwen thought.

The second this thought entered her mind, she felt a influx of knowledge swim through her mind. Most of it was...kind of useless to her, but some of Rey's knowledge on mechanics was genuinely useful, as was the martial arts that Ventress and Savage knew.

She could also feel an influx of power in the force, and even more than that, she could feel an influx of energy pour into her. She could feel her very cells began to get "charged" with electricity, as her form sparkled slightly. She could feel it begin to strengthen her cells beyond what they were before, as her power from Shaw and Jennifer began to work in tandem, strengthening her even more.

She wasn't sure how large the difference was, but she was sure she got quite a bit stronger than before. Her cells were naturally far stronger than a normal persons, meaning she also gave off far more energy than even Jennifer did. Which also meant her strength and power increased even more in tandem.

The difference so far wasn't huge, but she knew it would only continue to increase through time. And the more characters that had electric based powers, the stronger this ability would get, and the stronger her electricity based powers would become.

'Hmm, I wonder if I can get Electro? Pretty sure the guy is usually UL when facing Peter. But his powers have a lot of potential for the future, and would be a great combination with Jennifers powers' Gwen thought in interest, knowing that his power would be a good addition when combined with Jennifers powers.

'System, go ahead and use another five' Gwen decided. She wanted to get down to 15 and then save the rest for the moment. That, and she had some time to kill before the League meeting.

Peter Parker | Spiderman | Marvel Earth 96283 (Tobey Maguire Universe) [SL]

Peter Parker, aka Spiderman. Hailing from the Spiderman movie universe, this Peter Parker has all the normal powers of a Spiderman. He has 10 tons of strength, organic webbing, spider ense, and all the normal powers of a spiderman. He also is an expert scientist, tactician, combatant, a master marksman and acrobat, and is intellectually gifted. Includes all helpful/important knowledge.

Peter Parker | Spiderman | Marvel Earth 120703 (Andrew Garfield Universe) [SL]

Peter Parker, aka Spiderman. Hailing from the Amazing Spiderman movie universe, this Peter Parker has all the normal powers of a Spiderman. He has 10 tons of strength, spider sense, and all the other natural powers of a Spiderman, he does not have organic webbing. He is also a genius level intellect, expert skateboarder, master acrobat, and skilled combatant. Includes

all helpful/important knowledge.

Shuri | Black Panther | MCU [SL]

Shuri, aka the new Black Panther. Having been enhanced by the heart shape herb, Shuri has superhuman strength, durability, speed, agility, stamina, reflexes, and a regenerative healing factor. She is also a genius level intellect, master engineer, master scientist, master physician, expert tactician, master martial artist, expert marksman, master acrobat, and is bilingual. Includes all helpful/important knowledge and abilities.

Steve Rogers | Captain America | MCU [SL]

Steve Rogers, aka Captain America. Steve was imbued with the super soldier serum, making him stronger than any normal human. This serum granted him superhuman strength of 2-3 tons, superhuman durability, speed, agility, stamina, reflexes, intelligence, a regenerative healing factor, and longevity. He is also a master martial artist, master wielder of a Shield, skilled hammer wielder, expert marksman, master acrobat, expert spy, master tactician, skilled artist, and knew several languages. Includes all helpful/important knowledge and

abilities.

N'Jadaka | Erik Killmonger | MCU [SL]

N'Jadaka, aka Erik, aka Killmonger. Cousin of T'challa, Erik was enhanced by the heart shaped herb, after taking the throne from his cousin. This gave him superhuman physiology, including enhanced strength, speed, durability, agility, stamina, reflexes, and regenerative healing factor. He is also a master martial artist, skilled swordsman, skilled spearsman, master marksman, master acrobat, master assassin, master tactician, and is bilingual. Includes all helpful/important knowledge and abilities.

Peter Parker | Spiderman | MCU [SL]

Peter Parker, aka Spiderman. The Spiderman of the MCU. This spiderman was bit by a radioactive spider like all the others, which enhanced his physical capabilities. He has superhuman strength of 10 tons, superhuman durability, superhuman speed, superhuman agility, superhuman stamina, superhuman reflexes, superhuman senses, spider sense, and all the other normal powers of a spiderman. He is also a genius level intellect, master scientist, expert engineer, expert tactician, master combatant, master marksman, master acrobat, and is multilingual. Includes all helpful/important knowledge and abilities. Arno Dorian | Master Assassin | Assassins Creed [SL]

Arno Dorian, aka a Master Assassin within the French Brotherhood. Arno, being a part of the brotherhood, is an immensely skilled assassin, one of the best. He is a masterful wielder of the sword. A skilled freerunner. A master in stealth, assassination, combat, firearms, pickpocketing, lockpicking, and a vast variety of weaponry. He was also an incredibly observant and intelligent individual. He also has the special ability of "Eagle Vision" as well as two of its sub types "Eagle Pulse" which allows him to perceive enemies, allies, and objects of interest, even through walls, albeit, for a limited time. The other sub type he had was "Communal Sense" which allowed him to show his fellow assassins what he saw, although only for a short time. Also includes all helpful/importat knowledge and abilities.

Altair Ibn-La'Ahad | Master Assassin | Assassins Creed [SL]

Altair Ibn-La'Ahad, aka a Master Assasin. Altair is one of, if not the best assassins in the brotherhoods entire history. Partially because he has rarely, if ever, been injured/hit in battle. He is a master in all the teachings you'd naturally learn as a part of the Brotherhood. Including: Assassination, freerunning, poison, combat, stealth, acrobats, blade throwing, hand to hand combat, eavesdropping, interrogation, pickpocketing, climbing, and all other natural teachings you'd learn. He is also a skilled artist. He also has Eagle vision, even better than a normal assassins who had it. Includes all helpful/important knowledge and abilities.

Adrian Veidt | Ozymandias | DC/Watchmen [SL]

Adrian Veidt, aka Ozymandias. Adrian is one of the smartest individuals in the entirety of DC, and the smartest being in his home universe. He is so smart, that he managed to manipulate and outsmart the likes of Doctor Manhattan, a nigh-omnipotent demigod like being, and one of the most powerful beings in the multiverse. He has eidetic memory, is well versed in history, is incredibly charismatic, is multilingual, is skilled in various areas of science, is immensely skilled in tactical analysis, buisness management, deception, leadership, and political science. He is also skilled at reading the reading the body language of others. He is also a expert martial artist, skilled acrobat, skilled at throwing, and has indomitable will. Includes all helpful/important knowledge and abilities.

Xu Wenwu Mandarin | MCU [SL]

Xu Wenwu, aka Mandarin, aka father of Shang-Chi. Xu Wenwu, being the father of Shang-chi,

is incredibly old, but also incredibly skilled. He is a master martial artist, one of the best in the MCU. He is also a master marksman, master acrobat, master assassin, master tactician, has genius level intellect, and is bilingual. Includes all helpful/important knowledge and

abilities.

'...That...not bad. It's all SL characters, but some of them have useful knowledge. And I can't complain about my spider senses getting improved even more than now. Plus the Heart shaped herb and super soldier serum improvements will also be pretty good. The teachings of the Brotherhood will be great as well. Not sure how much improvement that will give me in terms of assassination, but it could be useful. The rest is...kind of useless though. I don't think I'll get much else out of them' Gwen thought with a small contemplative hum. 'Well, at least this will increase my aura and chi even more than they already are. And will

probably increase my power in the force too' Gwen thought with a small shrug, as she

thought.

'Go ahead and assimilate them, system'

At this, Gwen felt an influx of memories of power. It was less painful than last time, and was

happening a lot faster. The only real difference she felt, was a rather large increase to her senses, thanks to the new eagle vision she had gotten for herself. The knowledge wasn't bad, but there wasn't much new knowledge that she got out of it. Most of it being stuff that she

already knew, or just wasn't helpful.

The improvement to her strength was nice, as an improvement of roughly 40 tons wasn't

something she'd complain about. But besides that, and the Assassins techniques she had gotten, there wasn't much that was all that good about it.

At least with Tony's mind, she would have gotten some more knowledge on nano- technology, which would have been a good addition. As the man might have had some new pieces of information in nano-technology and its workings.

'That was a bit disappointing, but it could have been worse I guess' Gwen thought with a

small sigh, not all that happy with teh characters she had gotten. The eagle sense was an interesting addition though, and a welcome one.

Gwen blinked as she felt M'gann begin to stir. Slowly, the green skinned girl began to move, a

soft yawn escaping her lips.

"Mmm, Mornin' Gwen" M'gann yawned out, as she stretched.

"Morning babe" Gwen said with a chuckle, pecking M'gann on the cheek.

M'gann smiled at the peck on the cheek as she got to her feet.

"Let's go and get some breakfast, before I have that meeting with the League" Gwen said

with a smile, as she too got to her feet.

M'gann smiled and nodded, as the two walked out.

[A while later] [Watchtower]

It was a while after they had breakfast, and Gwen was already in the Watchtower. She had

eaten with M'gann before she made her way there, where she expected the League and Raven to be waiting.

Walking into the meeting room, Gwen blinked at the sight of the entire League being there, including Raven who was standing off to the side.

"Huh, didn't expect all of you to be here" Gwen muttered, which several members heard.

"Gwen, you left without notifying anyone besides M'gann. That is an issue, especially when you return several days later, talking about fighting dimensional entities and demigods" Superman said with a sigh.

"It was a mission involving Doctor Fate, not really something I have to tell you about" Gwen

replied with a shrug.

"Even if it was a mission involving Doctor Fate, you have to tell us when you leave, Gwen" Dinah said, massaging her head, feeling a headache coming on. "Really? So I have to tell the League everything I do, constantly? And what about all the

missions you all go on without telling anyone else? Aren't you suppose to tell the League about those missions too?" Gwen asked, raising an eyebrow at their logic. Raven inwardly cringed, having a feeling that an argument was coming. "We're adults, you are not" John Stewart said, staring at Gwen with a frown.

"I'm 17, close enough to be an adult. Hell, I turn 18 in a couple of months anyways. Also, if I'm

old enough to fight interdemensional threats as Doctor Fate, I think I'm old enough to go on solo missions without telling you all" Gwen replied with a roll of her eyes.

"And what did you even do on this mission? You haven't exactly told us" Shazam asked,

wondering what even happened.

At this, the entire League stared at Gwen, all wondering the same thing.

"Hmm? Oh that" Gwen muttered, before continuing.

"I ended up picking up some...signatures thanks to Nabu. They were strong, and familiar to

me, so I followed them. The first place I was lead was a Black Market auction" Gwen began,

only to get cut off.

"You went to a black market auction? That's illegal!" Captain Atom said, which Gwen promptly ignored.

"When there, I found some rather...important objects. I had went for only one, but I found two instead. Both of them are quite similar to Doctor Fate and the Helmet of Fate, if you

understand what I'm saying" Gwen said, glancing at her dad who's eyes widened ever so slightly in realization.

"You met two other Lords of Order, didn't you?" Bruce said, causing her to smirk, before a soft flash filled the room.

Her gloves returned back to their gauntlet form, just as her necklace returned back to it's cloak

form.

"This is the Cloak of Cyra and these are the Gauntlets of Myrath" Gwen said, as they all stared at the glowing objects.

"You-you've become host to two more Lords of Order?!" Zatara said in shock.

"Yep" Gwen replied with a smile, while they all looked to her in silence. Slowly they began to realize just how powerful Gwen was becoming. The power of Doctor Fate alone would have made her the strongest magic user on the team, add in two more Lords of Order, and the

power she had as a Pseudo Lord of Chaos, and she was currently the strongest magic user in the League, and one of the most powerful on the planet.

"And why do you get all this power? We should give it to two others who are more worthy of it!" Captain Atom exclaimed, not understanding why one person had all that power. Gwen looked at the man and promptly deadpanned "I have the power because they deemed

me worthy of it. It doesn't matter what you want in this situation, because they are bound to me, just as the Helmet of Fate is, and just as Teekl is"

"And what of the Lords of Chaos you spoke of?" Her dad asked, causing Gwen to blink before

smirking. "So...I may or may not have repeated what I did to Klarion, to a couple of others" Gwen said with a small grin, as the two Chaos imbued helms on her chain glowed with power. "...I'm not even surprised anymore" Bruce said with a sigh, while several other members also agreed with him. Zatara went silent at this, before speaking "Those helmets...they are similar to the Helmet of Fate, correct? What of the Lords of Chaos inside them?"

"Hmm? Well the Helmet of Chaos - the one on the left - has had it's Lord of Chaos taken care

of in a similar manner to Klarion. It still has the beings power within it, but not the Lord of Chaos itself" Gwen replied causing Zatara to nod after a few moments.

"But it did have something else inside" Gwen said with a small smile, as a soft glow

emanated next to her. Slowly, the glow took the form of Hati, who looked around the room. He was much smaller than he was in the mindscape, and was only slightly larger than your average wolf. "This is Hati, a Lord of Chaos, and my second familiar. He's in a similar situation to Teekl, so

you won't need to worry about him betraying anyone" Gwen said with a smile, as she pet the floofy wolf.

The team stared at the large wolf, some of them sighed even deeper, while several had wide

eyes.

"And you're certain that he is safe? That he won't attack anyone?" Superman asked, looking warily at the familiar Lord of Chaos.

"Yep! He's just like Teekl, so you won't have to worry about him" Gwen said, waving off the kryptonians concerns.

Captain Atom frowned deeply, but didn't say a word.

"And what of the other helmet? There is a second one on that chain of yours" Green Arrow asked, having noticed the second one.

At this, Gwen went silent, before glancing at Raven.

"This one is just like the other. But it was...corrupted...dangerous. When I had put it on to go

through the process of claiming it as my own, I had found something...someone else inside of

it" Gwen said with a sigh, as Raven's eyes slowly widened in realization.

"It was him...wasn't it?" Raven asked, causing the team to turn to her, before looking back to

Gwen, realizing what Raven meant by that.

Gwen

simply sighed and nodded "Trigon was inside the damn thing. A fragment of his true

self, but a part of him nonetheless"

"And you survived a run in with him? How?!" Zatara asked, knowing just how powerful Trigon

truly was.

"More than that" Gwen replied with a small grin, as she continued "I destroyed the fragment

of him in this universe"

Raven's eyes went wide as she stared at Gwen, while the rest of the League wasn't much

different.

"You-how?" Raven asked, trying not to show just how happy she was at that moment. Gwen simply smiled in response, as Zatara spoke "That-that cannot be! Trigon is more than a

mere demon! He is one of the most powerful entities in the Universe and beyond! Even a fragment of him is too much for a single individual to defeat!"

"Well I did. He was in my mindscape, so that might be a part of it. But either way, does it

really matter? I destroyed his only fragment within this universe, meaning he won't be

making a comeback. Meaning-" Gwen was cut off by Raven.

"I'm free..." Raven said, struggling to hold back the tears of happiness that were threatening

to break loose.

"After defeeating him, the Helm his fragment was in, became mine, just as the other did"

Gwen added, causing the League to go silent.

"And we're supposed to believe that? That a pipsqueak like you, could defeat a being from another dimension? One that is supposedly strong enough to take on the entirety of the League at the same time?" Captain Atom said, scoffing at the idea of it. Gwen just looked at the man before speaking "Honestly I could care less that you believe me,

Atom. You're an annoying snob with a stick up your ass thats almost as big as your ego" "Ignoring that idiot. Is there anything else I need to talk about, or can I go?" Gwen asked, looking to the League who went silent. They decided to ignore the growls from Captain Atom, in favor of Gwen.

"I believe that should be all, Gwen. You did good, even if you hid the mission from us" Bruce

said, deciding that that was enough interrogating his daughter, for the day.

Some members of the League frowned at Batman, but none of them said a word, deciding to

let her go this time.

"Great! If you need me, I'll be back at the Mountain, you coming with, Raven?" Gwen asked,

looking to the girl.

"We still need to speak to her about...all of this. She'll join you later" Bruce said, causing

Gwen to glance at Raven, before nodding.

"Well, see ya later dad!" Gwen said, as she walked out of the room, a happy grin on her face,

that she had finally gotten out of that dreadful conversation.

'Captain Atom is getting more and more annoying as time passes. The guy is pretty blatant

with his distrust of me, but there isn't much he can do, so I should be fine' Gwen thought with

a small shrug, as she walked to the zeta-tube, ready to return home.

Gwen had one final thought as she walked into the zeta-tube.

'Let's hope M'gann doesn't get too mad when she finds out'
