After thinking about the future of the Hellmore family, Lucas felt it would be a good thing to have a powerful spirit beast like Shadow wyvern join the family.

So, with a slight smile on his face, he walked towards the shadow wyvern while saying those words.

'Huh? What is that?'

Even though the shadow wyvern was a spirit beast, it still knows that the reason why it was standing here was because of Lucas sparing its life.

So, it was more than happy to hear about the deal which it could not resist.

As for whether it was really as irresistible as Lucas said, then the shadow wyvern would not mind agreeing to the deal.

Just as Lucas was about to explain the deal, the baby white tiger excitedly rushed into his embrace.

While caressing the baby white tiger, Lucas looked at the shadow wyvern and said what he wanted from the shadow wyvern.

All of a sudden, the shadow wyvern released some black energy from its body as it angrily looked at Lucas and shouted at him.

"I think you are someone who is standing right here just because I spared your life."

However, Lucas didn't flinch with the sudden change in the shadow wyvern; instead, he said something that made the shadow wyvern even angrier.

"So, what are you going to do about it? Kill me?"

Lucas added even more salt to the shadow wyvern's wounds.

'Yes.'

The shadow wyvern heavily nodded its head as it muttered, 'Shadow beam'

Soon, a pitch-black coloured ball formed in the shadow wyvern's mouth as it was released at Lucas.

'Thunder knight's rage'

Why would Lucas say such words when he didn't have enough confidence to go against the Shadow wyvern?

Before the shadow beam could hit him, Lucas thought about the mysterious organization that kidnapped Evan and within no time, his passive skill 'Thunder knight's rage' triggered as all his battle prowess would be boosted by three times for the next 10 minutes.

'Swoosh'

As soon as he felt the sudden boost in his strength, Lucas dodge the incoming shadow beam within no time as he jumped onto the shadow wyvern before lighting piercing his rank 3 short sword into one of the injuries of the spirit beast that was almost healed.

Even though it was impossible for Lucas to penetrate a rank 3 weapon into a rank 4 spirit beast like shadow wyvern; however, don't forget that it was injured yesterday to the point where he could not stand for an hour.

That was also the reason why Lucas was able to dodge the shadow beam.

If the shadow wyvern was in its peak form, even if Lucas was a tier 5 lesser knight and triggered the 'Thunder Knight's Rage', he would have been not able to fight against the spirit beast.

'If you are going to kill me, then kill me but I am not going to become a slave for a human family.'

Finally, the shadow wyvern forgot that its strength hasn't recovered yet and it also understood that it was not a match for today's Lucas compared to yesterday's Lucas.

"Why will I kill you when I already spared your life?"

Lucas shook his head as he put away his short sword before jumping down.

The shadow wyvern thought the human in front of him was different when he didn't ask anything in return after saving it a couple of times yesterday.

However, after hearing that Lucas was planning to make it into his family's guardian spirit beast, then it changed its view on Lucas.

"As usual, the higher the spirit beast's rank is, the more furious they will become for even small things."

Lucas scoffed at the spirit beast as he continued to speak, "Did you forget that what I asked you just now was a deal for you? If you didn't like what I was offering you in return, you can always reject the deal, right?"

The thing is, Lucas already knew it would be the hardest thing to make the shadow wyvern the Hellmore family's guardian spirit beast. So, he was not planning to force it and just wanted to try his luck.

"If you agree to become the Hellmore family's guardian beast, I will give you a Beast evolution crystal."

Before the shadow wyvern could finish its words, Lucas took out a shining crystal from his inventory and interrupted the spirit beast's words.

'Th..this is a 'Beast evolution crystal'?'

The shadow wyvern that was seething with anger turned docile when it saw the shining crystal in Lucas' hands.

'He has a beast evolution crystal on him?'

The mother white tiger that was watching everything happening between the shadow wyvern and Lucas from the side, was also surprised a bit; however, when she thought about the double sacrifice in the wilderness today, she felt it was normal for him such items.

"Since you didn't want to become my family's guardian spirit beast, then I could only give it to the baby white tiger."

However, Lucas didn't bother to look at the shadow wyvern as he continued to say, "With this, your chances of evolving into a dragon was quite good. It's such a pity."

Even though he didn't look at the shadow wyvern, Lucas knew he had successfully tricked it.

For any wyvern, evolving into a dragon was a dream that only one in ten thousand wyverns could achieve and a beast evolution crystal was a shortcut for a wyvern to achieve that dream.

However, it was not 100 percent certain that all the wyverns who use a beast evolution crystal would become dragons. Even with the beast evolution crystal, there was only a 50 percent chance to become a dragon.

Nevertheless, it decided to agree to Lucas' deal and give it a try with the help of the beast evolution crystal to achieve its dream because it was very hard to find a beast evolution crystal as no one knows where they come from or what they were made up of.

"I want you to say it with your complete heart and soul."

Lucas stopped his hand in the mid-air as he replied to the shadow wyvern with a slight smile on his face.

'System, are you sure it is a beast evolution crystal?'

From the window of the manor, Beck saw the shining crystal in Lucas' hands and asked the system in her head.

'Ding,

  Yes, hostess. The system is 100 percent sure about it.

'Young master became so mysterious while I was away.'

Beck shook her head before going back to her room to recover her magic power.
