<Defeat the Monster boss [Black tortoise] in one hour>

The monotonous voice resounded in Lucas' head as he looked in the direction from where the loud roar came.

'A tortoise?'

Lucas saw a huge tortoise that was like a huge black mountain.

'Roar'

It let out another roar that was way more powerful than before, which gave rise to some unknown fear in Lucas' heart.

'Ding,

        The host is affected by the [Black tortoise]'s battle cry.

'Ding,

        His battle prowess will be decreased by 10 percent for the next 10 minutes.

'What the…'

Lucas was shocked to hear the system notifications in his head as he looked at the huge black tortoise with a serious look on his face.

'Decreasing my battle prowess with a roar? This is a true monster.'

Lucas knew he had to use his full power to fight the Black tortoise after getting a debuff from the monster.

[Fiery rage].

[Thunder knight's fury].

Without wasting any time, Lucas used his regular moves to temporarily increase his battle prowess.

Currently, Lucas was using the 'Coward's equipment set' and because of that, it only took him 20 seconds to cast a basic spell.

In one hand, he was holding the Coward's sword and in another hand, he was holding the Coward's dagger.

'Even though it was better to use two daggers, currently, I don't have another rank 4 dagger. Moreover, the Coward's sword is a rank 4 weapon with two good effects. So, I can use it to my advantage.'

That was the reason why he was using a sword and a dagger.

'Swoosh'

After buffing himself, Lucas rushed towards the huge black tortoise.

'Clang'

However, before he could attack the monster's head, it retracted back into its shell and his dagger was unable to leave a scratch on the shell.

'Let's see how I blast you to death.'

Seeing that his stronger melee attack from the dagger was no use against the shell, he wanted to try another strongest move, which was none other than the advanced spell [Infernal Bomb].

With the help of Cowards' mage robe, it only took one minute for Lucas to finish the chanting before throwing the [Infernal bomb] at the Black tortoise.

The infernal bomb landed on top of the black shell of the [Black tortoise] and a huge explosion occurred in the [Monster Boss Room] that even push Lucas to a wall.

'This must have made at least a scratch, right?'

As the entire room was filled with smoke and dust, Lucas was unable to see anything; however, he was sure that the [Black tortoise] was not killed because he didn't get the system notification.

So, he hoped that the [nfernal Bomb] to at least leave some injury or a scratch on the shell.

'Cru cru'

It took a few moments for the dust to settle as Lucas could hear some sounds from the [Black tortoise].

'Did it get injured?'

Lucas felt a little excited; however, when he saw the look in the eyes of the [Black tortoise], he could tell that it was not crying in pain.

Instead, it seemed like it was mocking him for such a weak spell.

'What the hell?'

Lucas got pissed at the [Black tortoise] because he didn't like to get mocked by anyone, not to mention, a tortoise is mocking him right now.

'I will f*cking kill you for that.'

Moreover, everyone who mocked him in his last life was sent to hell and he swore to kill this [Black tortoise] also.

'I have to make it come out.'

Nevertheless, Lucas was not some impatient blood-rushing young master and he knew the hot-headedness in his current situation would only get him killed faster.

Lucas knew he could never break the defence of the shell from his earlier experience and the only way to defeat it was to make it come out.

He didn't waste his time in using his other skills like 'Darkwind blades' or spells like 'Thunder bullet' because he knew they were of no use against the [Black tortoise].

'These are still 40 minutes left.'

The clear condition for this [Monster boss room] was to kill the [Black tortoise] within an hour and he had already wasted 20 minutes.

'It is not a waste as I got to know some things about this monster.'

Lucas didn't think much about the lost time and started thinking about how he could bring the tortoise' head out of the shell.

While Lucas was thinking, the [Black tortoise] slowly stretched its head out of the shell and looked at Lucas before mocking him again, 'Cru…cru.'

'Huh? You came?'

As though Lucas was waiting for the [Black tortoise] to stretch its head out, he used his skill [Shadow Jump].

'Swoosh'

'Die, you b*astard.'

Lucas came out of the shadow below the tortoise' head and aimed at the neck of the tortoise.

'Damn it….this is really a turtle.'

Lucas cursed because before he could come out of the shadow, the [Black tortoise] retracted its head back into the shell long back.

Time continued to pass and the same thing kept on repeating where the [Black tortoise] would stretch its head while Lucas used his [Shadow jump] to attack; however, the [Black tortoise] would retract its head.

[Remaining time:- 10 minutes].

'I am running out of time.'

Lucas felt that the turtle is really a scaredy-cat and the moment he even gave a slight movement.

'Using the [Ghost steps] right after coming out of the [Shadow jump] is also useless.'

Lucas tried many ways and all of them turned out to be useless.

'Let's try the [Invisiblity] spell.'

Suddenly, Lucas thought of his intermediate spell and walked towards the [Black tortoise] and stood right in front of it.

As long as the [Black tortoise] stretches its head to mock him, he would directly deal with the attack.

However, he was not keeping many hopes on it because the [Black tortoise] was very fast when it came to retracting its head.

'Now'

Finally, the moment the [Black tortoise] stretched its head, Lucas was very fast and his dagger landed on its neck.
