Chapter 169: Ming Yuelin vs Chen Zin [1]
Zhang Yuan sighed in his heart and stepped out of the room. "Where are they fighting?"
Xue Hua gave a nod and replied "In the training ground..."
With a faint yawn, Zhang Yuan uttered "What is she doing as the first thing in the morning?"
...
Quickly both of them walked to the Royal Training ground and reaching there, Zhang Yuan saw familiar faces.
Long Xian, Long Yue and Jin Wei were standing on the sidelines, while Ming Yuelin and Chen Zin were at the center, ready to fight.
The two women faced each other in silence, their eyes locked, the air between them crackling with tension.
They all noticed Zhang Yuan walking in and bowed their heads slightly "Master.."
"Master Yuan.."
"Senior Yuan."
Ming Yuelin also saw her master and smiled brightly, waving her hand "Master!!"
Looking at her, Zhang Yuan shook his head helplessly and made his way to them "What are you doing?"
With a pout, Ming Yuelin replied "Can't you see, master? Me and this bitch are going to duel to see who is stronger."
Chen Zin smirked, raising her sword. "You heard her, Master Yuan. She wants this fight. I'm more than happy to oblige."
Looking at both of them, Zhang Yuan sighed in his heart...
"Fine," he muttered under his breath, stepping back to the edge of the field. "But be careful, Lin'er... Zin."
Ming Yuelin had a proud smirk on her face "Don't worry Master.. I will patch this cunt's mouth today..."
As he stepped out of the field, Xue Hua was dumbfounded. "Master.. is it alright to let them fight like this?"
With a nod, Zhang Yuan replied "Yeah.. don't worry, it will be a good battle experience for them."
Hearing this, Jin Wei also nodded her head "Yeah.. that's why I also didn't stop her... it is good to have rivals as it would push them to become stronger."
Zhang Yuan turned his gaze to Long Yue who was wearing simple robes and smiled softly "How are you feeling, Yue."
Long Yue cupped her hands and gave a now "I feel good, Master... "
As Zhang Yuan left the field, the battle instantly began...
Ming Yuelin raised her bow, and without another word, pulled back the string.
*swoosh* Instantly, an arrow formed... and in one fluid motion, she released it as the arrow shot through the air with a sharp whistle, leaving a silver trail behind it.
Chen Zin's eyes narrowed as she leaped to the side, dodging the arrow just in time.
*thoom* The arrow struck the ground where she had been standing, exploding into a burst of silver energy, sending a shockwave that rippled through the earth.
*woosh* Chen Zin dashed forward and raised her fiery sword, the flames on her blade flaring even brighter.
Ming Yuelin didn't flinch and she quickly pulled back her bowstring again, this time summoning three arrows at once.
As she released them, they spiraled toward Chen Zin, their trails intertwining in a single trail of light.
Chen Zin spun in midair, her sword cleaving through the arrows in a blaze of fire, but as soon as her blade touched the arrows, they exploded into bursts of crimson flames.
Chen Zin staggered, her body engulfed in the fiery remnants of Ming Yuelin's attack.
"This bitch..." Gritting her teeth, she forced herself to stand her ground, swinging her sword in a wide arc to dispel the flames.
"You're quick," Chen Zin muttered, wiping a streak of blood from her mouth.
"But I'm not done yet."
Without waiting for a response, she lunged forward, her sword igniting once again.
As she swung the sword toward Ming Yuelin, the fire expanded, forming a wide arc of searing heat and the very air around them shimmered from the intensity of the flames.
"Phoenix steps.." Ming Yuelin's eyes glowed as she swiftly leaped back, her movements fluid and graceful.
She raised her bow high and In an instant, her entire body was surrounded by a swirl of fiery crimson energy.
The air around her crackled as a massive phoenix formed above her, its wings stretching wide as it hovered, made entirely of flame.
Ming Yuelin's face remained calm as she pulled back her bowstring once more.
This time, the arrow that formed was different... blazing with the power of the Crimson Phoenix itself.
The flames swirled around the arrow, growing fiercer with every second and with a sharp release, she fired.
The flaming arrow flew toward Chen Zin with terrifying speed, the force of it burning the ai.
Chen Zin raised her sword, channeling her fire elemental energy to meet the attack head-on.
*swoosh* With a deep breath, she slashed her sword forward, sending a massive wave of fire to clash with the phoenix arrow.
*BOOMM* The two forces collided in an explosion of flames and light.
The shockwave sent both fighters skidding backward, and the earth between them was scorched black from the intensity of the clash.
Smoke and embers filled the air, and for a moment, it was hard to see through the thick haze.
But neither woman was finished.
Chen Zin, blood trickling from a gash on her shoulder, charged forward, her sword blazing with flames.
She aimed directly for Ming Yuelin's bow, her eyes filled with the intent to injure her.
Ming Yuelin quickly sidestepped the attack, but Chen Zin was relentless.
She swung her sword in a rapid series of strikes, each one trailing with flames that scorched the ground where they struck.
Ming Yuelin nimbly dodged the attacks, her bow glowing brightly as she prepared her next move.
With a sharp twirl, she spun and released another volley of arrows, each one coated in the crimson flames of the phoenix.
*woosh* *woosh* They flew toward Chen Zin, curving unpredictably as if they were alive, homing in on her.
Chen Zin gritted her teeth, using her sword to block and deflect each arrow.
But the relentless assault left her exposed and Ming Yuelin saw her chance.
She pulled back the string once more, this time summoning an arrow made of pure silver light.
"Take this..." She whispered softly, and the arrow ignited with the power of the Phoenix.
With a blinding flash, the arrow flew forward and Chen Zin's eyes widened in shock as she tried to block it.
