Feeling a hand on his shoulder, Long Xian turned to look at Zhang Yuan "Master.. Yuan.."

With a gentle smile, he spoke, "Don't worry... I don't have any ill intentions towards her."

Long Xian hesitated a little as he is worried about his daughter, when she is in such a defenseless state.

Ming Yuelin, who was watching this got irritated that this Emperor was suspicious of her master that he would do vile things to his daughter.

With a snort, she spoke "You old man, how dare you doubt my Master's intentions! He's here to help your daughter, and you stand here questioning his honor?"

Long Xian, visibly taken aback by Ming Yuelin's outburst, opened his mouth to speak, but she cut him off before he could utter a word.

"Look at his face, with such face... he can get whatever he wants... and do you think, he would go after your daughter, who is in such a vulnerable state."

"Shame on you for even thinking such a thing!"

"He has two female disciples and he has never laid hands on us in such a way... he always cares for us."

Zhang Yuan gently placed his hand on Ming Yuelin's shoulder, calming her down with just a look. "Yuelin," he said softly, "that's enough."

She looked up at him, her fiery expression fading into one of quiet obedience.

She respected her master's words more than anything, and she knew that he wouldn't leave Long Yue in such a state, regardless of the Emperor's doubts.

Turning back to Long Xian, Zhang Yuan let out a soft sigh. "I understand your concern. You are her father, and it is only natural that you worry for her. But I give you my word... I will not harm her."

Long Xian's heart tightened at Zhang Yuan's words.

He wanted to believe him, wanted to place his full trust in this man who had come to his aid in his time of greatest need.

And yet, the image of his daughter, pale and weakened on the bed, made his chest ache with protectiveness.

With a deep breath, Long Xian nodded, though it was clear that the decision did not come easily.

"I trust you, Master Yuan," he said quietly, though his voice trembled slightly. "Please... help my daughter."

He walked to the bed, and softly grasped his daughter's hand as she slowly turned her eyes to her father "F-Father..."

Hearing her low murmur filled with pain, Long Xian's eyes quivered in tears and he muttered "Dear... don't worry, Father had brought a powerful expert to cure you. He will surely cure you this time."

Long Yue gave a slight nod and forced a smile on her lips "I-I trust you, father.."

With that, Long Xian turned and left the room, leaving only Zhang Yuan, his disciples, and the sleeping Long Yue behind.

Following him, Jin Wei and the servants also left the room.

The room fell into a quiet stillness, the only sound the gentle bubbling of the steaming bath.

Ming Yuelin pouted her lips and spoke "That ungrateful bastard..."

With a chuckle, Zhang Yuan patted her head "Overprotective parents.. tend to act like this when their children are in such a vulnerable position."

Xue Hua turned around and gently sat on the bed, glancing at the demonic energy rampaging inside.

Seeing the opportunity, Ming Yuelin leaned forward and pecked Zhang Yuan's lips as she moved her lips to his ear.

"Let's finish this quick and have a lot of sex after that... my dear Husband." she mumbled placing a kiss on his ear.

Zhang Yuan was surprised by her new way of calling and Ming Yuelin herself was embarrassed, as she hid her face with her palms.. though a soft smile lingered on her lips.
