Chapter 453: Fifth World: Nana Doting On Lin Lin
Chapter 453: Fifth World: Nana Doting On Lin Lin
This summoning was done unconsciously but her son never showed up. That is until today. This was because when it happened in the past, Zhao Zhi had no recollection of his past and a huge part of his memories were sealed. The moment he regained his memories it meant he could be influenced by his mother's powerful dream which brought him here.
"Oh, I know you missed mummy dearest and wanted to see me. Come, come mum understands," she said reaching out to him. The two embraced while exchanging words of comfort that is until she deliberately ruined the moment saying, "Now go get my Lin Lin some food. I am all alone so no one will see you."
Wen Qinxi, "..."
This is a good example of a parent becoming a slave to their bundle of joy for the rest of their life. Wen Qinxi walked out and left the two chatting it up like best friends. He so hoped his real mother wouldn't be like this in the real world otherwise he and Wen Dazhe would implement their lifelong plan of not having children and get their mother a dog instead.
While Wen Qinxi was slaving away for his son, his boyfriend slash baby daddy was stirring up a hurricane in the Zhao sect. It seemed all the sects were having an annual gathering without his sect as always. Just like how Qie Xieling barged into the main hall to claim his prize, Qie Ranzhe did the same thing only that his aura was oppressive that it made all the elders tense up in his presence.
They had been gathering for a century-old tradition which encompassed inviting all the sects for their disciples to compete in duels with the winning sect gaining prestige for their sect and amazing prizes. They invited all the sects apart from the Qie sect using the excuse that the sect had fewer disciples and hadn't been established for over fifty years disqualifying them from the get-go.
But when they heard that Qie Ranzhe killed the heavenly ordained Taoist priest and his entourage of monks the competition changed to a meeting on how to deal with the Qie sect and its unstable leader.
Plenty of things were said like how they knew he was emotionally unstable and that he was associated with the demonic sect. Some even went as far as saying he was the one who had his family killed in that labyrinth which explained why he was the only one who survived.
The words murderer and homicidal maniac were thrown into the mix but they would never have the audacity to say it to his face as demonstrated at this moment. The entire hall was silent with the crowd even afraid to breathe loudly lest they attract Qie Ranzhe's unwanted attention.
The only sound heard was the footsteps of Qie Ranzhe and his gang walking to the front of the main hall. No one dared to make a move and break the silence. They were all curious to see what Qie Ranzhe wanted to do especially when he was outnumbered like this. Qie Ranzhe didn't speak searching with his spiritual energy for the man who wore the red mask among the group of Zhao Sect disciples.
The guilty party seemed to sense something and decided to quietly slip out of the main hall but it was already too late. Qie Ranzhe stretched out his hand and his soul binding chain shot from his waist and immediately coiled around the culprit's body incapacitating him. Qie Ranzhe clenched his fist and the chain brought the culprit towards him.
With a loud thud, the man's body was slammed to the ground making one cringe at the sight. "Sect leader, sect leader please save this disciple!" yelled the man pleading with sect leader Zhao. Sect leader Zhao also didn't want to offend this great buddha but his reputation was on the line and this disciple was third in command after Zhao Zhi which meant he was a senior disciple.
Like an all bark no bite dog, he slammed his fist on the table and shouted, "Sect leader Qie how arrogant of you to walk in here without my permission and pick on my disciple. You murdered a heavenly ordained Taoist priest in cold blood and now you are harassing my disciple in broad daylight. How amazing you are," he said in a sarcastic tone with the other elders nodding in agreement.
It seemed they had come to the consensus that Qie Ranzhe was public enemy number one and he has to be dealt with. A few brave souls whispered to each other while watching Qie Ranzhe with great vigilance. They seemed ready to attack at any time and subdue this sect leader.
But the entire main hall was agape when Qie Ranzhe took out the rings belonging to the Taoist priest. Everyone even new recruits knew about the legend of this pair of heavenly rings so how could they simply not understand what it meant.
Despite knowing that Qie Ranzhe was now the new master of these rings they still couldn't believe it. Some thought he used some powerful dark Qi to prevent the rings from vanishing after the Taoist priest died. Since they accused him of being associated with the demon sect this reasoning seemed plausible.
But of course, they were wrong. Qie Ranzhe wasn't in a good mood. He had a lover and son to find so he turned his vicious gaze towards sect leader Zhao making the man gulp with his forehead laced with a fine layer of cold sweat.
He had poked the beehive dozens of times and it was about time he paid the piper. Qie Ranzhe leapt in front of sect leader Zhao and grabbed him by the neck. He then returned to his original position with the sect leader's neck in one hand and the rings in the next.
The elders hurriedly stood up in horror while sending over their disciples to rescue the Zhao sect leader but they found they couldn't get to him because Qie Ranzhe had created a barrier around him and his friends. The situation turned chaotic as the elders helplessly watched the life get squeezed out of their colleague.
Qie Ranzhe was like a beast unleashed from its cage squeezing the sect leader's throat with no reservations. His eyes were as red as saffron his hands trembling from anger. He was kneeling on one knee strangling the sect leader who was lying on the ground kicking vigorously demonstrating his desire to live.
"Where is he?" he asked sending chills down sect leader Zhao's spine. He knew who Qie Ranzhe was asking for but he didn't know where that person could be so how was he supposed to save his insignificant life now?
