Chapter 337 Snitcher
Originally, what should have been a competition of forgers grouped together in one area to craft an amazing item to gain a high placement turned into an Arena battle.
Nearly all blacksmiths on the stage had stopped forging altogether and were in an all-out brawl. Their eyes were bloody red, with some even beginning to shout and curse in a vulgar manner.
"Motherfucker, your skills are ass and you decide to sabotage me? Let's see if I don't beat you black and blue!"
"Hmph, who told you to be so good? I might not win in forging, but I can at least punch the crap out of your pretty face!"
Two different sides were confronting each other, with the original culprit, Crimson Heart, discreetly returning to Xu Feng.
Now that they had stopped forging altogether and focused on fighting, Crimson Heart would be foolish to join the brawl when her combat power was nothing compared to theirs.
"You should hurry up, Lin Feng." Crimson Heart warned. "Once they cleared up their mind, they would soon target the two of us for starting the sabotage."
"You worry too much." Xu Feng smiled and continued hammering on the anvil. "These contestants are going to eliminate themselves by the time they realize their stupidity."
"Even so, there will still be some left." She argued.
"Yes, but don't we still have another Tier 3 offensive scroll left?"
"..."
With that being said, Crimson Heart realized Xu Feng never had an eye on her offensive scroll. Instead, he merely planned on using it as a safety measurement after the mess they made.
Amidst her dazed, Xu Feng continued, "You should also begin forging your Veil Breaker."
"What?" Snapping out of her daze, Crimson Heart glared at him. "You really double-crossed me?"
Xu Feng sighed softly at her loss of composure.
"Haven't you noticed the freezing temperature seemed to minimize?" He questioned her. "The brawl between the contestants would definitely affect the Frozen Field, so now was the ideal time to forge."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Realization dawned upon Crimson Heart as she quickly noticed the mana being consumed had decreased marginally.
Nevertheless, she still held some doubt. "If so, then why did you learn my design and pretend like you were going to forge it earlier?"
"I was just trying to study it and I'm sure you would want to forge the item yourself for a greater quality." Xu Feng calmly responded, his hand holding a freshly crafted Tier 1 Stamina Gemstone.
"You are really the worst…" Crimson Heart pursed her lips once she saw the quality of the gemstone.
Without any question, Xu Feng had already succeeded and was guaranteed to advance to the next round.
"Relax," he smiled and pointed at his forge. "My flame will remain there for you to forge. I will also protect you if there's some fool who wants to sabotage you."
"I hope you keep your word." Unwilling to waste any more time, Crimson Heart quickly got to work and began her forging process.
Meanwhile, back at the center of the stage, numerous contestants were sent flying everywhere, prompting numerous employees to enter the Frozen Field and escort those incapacitated outside for healing.
The current number of contestants remained was less than 10, with most of them panting heavily for breathing.
Having been affected by the coldness and now exerting a large amount of their stamina and mana, their bodies were finally near their limit.
As they panted heavily, some in the audience began snitching on Xu Feng and Crimson Heart.
"Hey, why don't you glance at the edge. There's someone still forging and about to succeed! Also, Lin Feng completed their forge already!" The person who snitched was someone who betted on another contestant. Since they were bound to lose, they wanted to ensure others lost as well.
However, their action enraged one particular contestant. And they were none other than Xu Feng.
"Snitches get stitches!" Xu Feng scolded from afar and pointed at the person.
"I'm sure quite a lot of people have betted on me and Crimson Heart who received praises. Are you willing to let that person who ruined your wealth live?" He added, riling up the other audiences who were still engrossed in the brawl and didn't pay much attention to the details.
Sure enough, thanks to the wake-up call from Xu Feng, the audience who had really bet money on Xu Feng and Crimson Heart, turned to the snitcher.
The snitcher felt a sense of danger as he quickly stepped back and warned them, "Don't you dare attack me. There are strict laws for the audience to not attack others!"
"But there's no strict law on camping them outside the competition!" Xu Feng fueled the fire and shouted.
"You damn contestant!" Infuriated, the snitcher glared at Xu Feng. "How dare you entice others to ambush me!"
"And who told your loudmouth to intervene in the conflict between the contestants." Xu Feng sneered and raised his middle finger. Initially, the other contestants were still ignoring them, but thanks to this snitcher, they were now glaring at him and Crimson Heart.
He might as well become a monk if he could still swallow this grudge. If the contestants themselves realized that Crimson Heart was still forging, then Xu Feng could accept it.
However, that was clearly not the case.
"Lin Feng, you better move aside and let us sabotage Crimson Heart."
"Not just that, but the snitcher also mentioned Lin Feng is done already."
"Yeah, he must destroy his item as well. Otherwise, he would have passed and we would all lose."
Without much surprise, the remaining contestants temporarily let go of their grudge and formed an alliance to target Xu Feng and Crimson Heart.
Sensing their murderous aura, Xu Feng whispered to Crimson Heart, "How much longer do you need to complete?"
"I still need around 10 minutes. My movement is still not at my prime because of the lingering coldness."
"10 minutes huh…" Nodding, Xu Feng's face turned solemn as he took a step forward, his eyes glancing at the remaining contestants.
