Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 30: Scary

Chapter 30: Scary

After dashing with all his might, Xu Feng managed to escape quite far away.

Luckily, he had consumed a Life Water previously, alleviating him from being exhausted quickly.

"Phew, that rich heiress better not find me again." He muttered.

The online payment system he gave her was not traceable, meaning she wouldn't be able to find him based on that information.

As for the name Zhao Kai, similar to his concept of using Lin Feng as an in-game name, there are many similar or same names as such. Therefore, she won't be able to find any clues either.

Of course, it wasn't that he was not interested in women, but based on his experience and intuition, such women were definitely troublesome ones.

They won't do you any good aside from hindering you and possibly causing you to encounter unnecessary obstacles.

With that being said, Xu Feng also didn't plan on having any romance either. His foundation was practically nonexistent at the moment and he was just getting started.

How could he let himself be distracted?

'Now I just need to search for a good housing location and move there.' Xu Feng began to walk away while setting up the smartwatch and phone simultaneously.

Swapping his phone was quite easy, but the smartwatch itself took some time.

After all, there were numerous steps and safety measures to be implemented to ensure everything was functioning well without any possibility of a breach.

Once the smartwatch setup was done, Xu Feng wore it and instantly, the notification from the Divine World began appearing.

Most of the notifications were about the silver coins he placed to be exchanged for money.

Reading all of the notifications, Xu Feng managed to sell all 50 silver coins. 5 were sold individually whereas the rest of the 45 were sold in batches, helping him rake in a total sum of 66,000 dollars.

Originally, a portion of that money was going to be spent on the smartwatch and phone, but thanks to the rich heiress, Xu Feng managed to avoid paying.

'Welp, at least there's one good thing that came out on top of it. And if she is really a person who keeps their promises, then another 10,000 dollars will be in my pocket.' Just thinking about how he was easily earning this kind of big money was sending him to cloud nine.

Had he still decided to be a fool, then he wouldn't have made it here. He would still be in the school competition, competing for useless crap.

As Xu Feng began to look for a decent house within his budget, back at Zhang's Electronic, Zhang Jingyi realized something was amiss.

"Wait, the bodyguards wouldn't return here since they had searched this area before." She muttered, coming out of her hiding spot.

When she realized Xu Feng's figure was nowhere to be seen, she quickly glared at Sandra.

Having made such a blunder earlier, Sandra had wised up and understood her meaning.

"When the esteemed sir shouted about some bodyguards, he ran away while you went into hiding, Miss Zhang." She explained, visibly nervous.

Although Xu Feng had requested to spare her job, she could still be transferred to some barren location with just a single command of Zhang Jingyi.

She was afraid that Zhang Jingyi might blame her for letting the man escape.

"Sigh, am I that scary?" Zhang Jingyi knitted her brows, seemingly confused as to why he was running away from her so desperately.

"Not scary, definitely not scary at all." Sandra shook her head repeatedly.

"If I'm not scary, then why are you trembling?"

"I-I-I was still nervous about the earlier incident."

"Whatever," Zhang Jingyi rolled her eyes, clearly uninterested whether she was telling the truth or not.

"Elena!" She suddenly turned around and called out.

"Yes, Miss Zhang?" From out of nowhere, Elena appeared in front of her, her head lowering slightly.

"Your schemes are pretty nice, but next time, don't try to make use of people who have interacted with me. Is that clear?"

"Huh?" Looking visibly confused, Elena tried to feign innocence.

Meanwhile, Zhang Jingyi merely snorted and crossed her arms. "Did you seriously think that man earlier had a good temper? The reason why he didn't request Sandra to be punished was most likely he hated being used more than anything. Hence, he would rather let Sandra off the hook than to allow you succeed with your plot."

Astonished, Elena tried to go on her knees and plead innocent, clearly not expecting to have her scheme exposed.

Alas, Zhang Jingyi waved her hand in time and announced, "I don't care if you are in a competition and want to kick the other person out. Competition is welcome to increase the work quality, but you need to know the limit."

Knowing that it was futile to explain, Elena merely nodded her head in understanding.

As for Sandra, she might have kept silent, but her expression clearly indicated that she was definitely going to remember this debt.

"Don't think you're safe either, Sandra. Had it not been for your rash behavior, do you think others could take advantage of you?" Zhang Jingyi's scolding brought her back to reality, prompting her to lower her head in shame.

Seeing her two employees have their heads lowered, Zhang Jingyi was honestly exhausted to even interact with them.

If you were going to act shrewd and devious, then at least be capable of acting upon it and leave no clues.

How pathetic of them to attempt such an act, but allow others to know it was their scheme?

"Anyway, the smartwatch and phone that I gave to that person. I want to track him down, so hurry it up."

It was as if they had been pardoned, both Sandra and Elena quickly went to work and did what they were told.

It was just a shame that they couldn't accomplish what was assigned.

"Um, Miss Zhang, the person seemed to have activated the smartwatch and phone already and knew how to delete the tracking." Sandra swallowed a mouthful of saliva nervously as she relayed their findings.

"Am I really that scary?" Zhang Jingyi twitched her brows, clearly in dismay.
