Chapter 61 [Different situations. Different Possibilities!]
61 [Different situations. Different Possibilities!]
Oriel, who looked more serious, began speaking first,
"Adam. Are you an idiot?" His eyes seemed more concerned than angry at me. Though that didn't change the fact that he was speaking to me with a slightly threatening look. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Which idiot barges into the enemy territory without knowing what kind of beings lies in there? Are you asking for your death or something?" He continued his lecture on how reckless I was and how I should only take things that are up to my capabilities.
The lecture went on for another 15 minutes before he finally calmed down. Meanwhile, Evelyn was smiling like an idiot from a distance. Looking at them, it was honestly hard to believe that they were the same Evelyn and Oriel who had looked at me with disgust last time.
'Well, let's focus on the quest for now,' I thought as that previous behavior. I had already stopped caring about what they would do if they found out that I could use Dark Magic.
But since not showing it will keep things moving more smoothly, let's keep it that way.
"Sigh… what am I gonna do with you…" Oriel finished his words as he moved towards me and hugged me tightly as he spoke," thank you for protecting us. Thank you for saving minnie and Evelyn's life."
He then unhugged me and moved away as I showed him a 'smile' before making an 'embarrassed' expression. He chuckled at my response before looking around,
"Well. Since you already might have guessed it, there is a time dilation placed on this place. By the time you told on the outside, it is about 15 times or around that."
His calculations were on spot as he then began pondering before he looked at Evelyn," I guess we have to take that path again."
Evelyn's expression turned ashen as she looked at Oriel before she spoke," but he is too strong."
"Don't worry, I have a plan this time," Oriel added as he looked at me before observing Evelyn, who seemed to have her eyes widened up. "But what if he kills Adam?" She shouted, as she seemed to be against what Oriel was planning.
"He won't. I don't know why, but he has not once tried killing us. Do you think a dark mage would really leave us alive if he didn't want something from us? It's either he is trying to get something from us… or he can't kill us," Oriel spoke as he reached his own conclusion.
"A Dark Mage?!!!" I spoke out loud in 'surprise' as my eyes widened while I turned to Evelyn. She seemed to understand my surprise as she nodded, adding," yeah. I was as surprised as you were."
"Those vermin have dares stepping on this holy land!" Oriel tightened his fist, with his eyes narrowing a little. 'I wonder how they would react to the Dark Mages hiding within the city? Alepsia is playing quiet dangerous games, isn't she?' I pondered as I saw Oriel approaching me.
"Let's go, we will explain everything on the way," he said as he took me by my hand and we began walking towards the same mansion where Gray was. Behind me, Evelyn followed, holding onto her wooden staff that she picked up from a bit away.
The story was quite simple. They went to check the mansion -> found Gray -> Faught immediately > Lost -> Were thrown down to the bottom of the cliff but didn't die -> Went up again -> Lost again -> Were thrown again.
After repeating it for days, they were on their last legs until I came up to see them. 'And fascinating enough, they are about to repeat the same thing once more,' I was wondering if it were some form of default NPC settings or something? But then, how did Oriel get out of here last time?
Took some time but…
"We are here," Oriel, our 'leader', took the stance in front of me. He then took a deep breath as he opened the outer metallic gate of the mansion before we reached the inner wooden one.
"Adam. No matter what happens, don't speak even a single word," Oriel spoke as he looked at me and I nodded. I don't know what this is all about but, for now let's follow it out. I felt Evelyn's warm hands tugging against mine, as her eyes looked scared a little.
-Creak!!!
Oriel opened up the door, showing us the same view of the necromancer once again. Evelyn's grip tightened against my hands as she looked at the skeletal guy, Gray Ian Schringer.
"Welcome Guests! It was a shame that you had to run away from here last time. I promise this time it will be different!" Gray smiled creepily as he looked at us. Wearing the same black robe with a reddish fiery hue, he stood there menacingly. In his hand was the same key that I took and ran away with a couple of returns ago.
"What exactly does an evil entity like you want from us?" Oriel, whom I thought would charge in the first look, was surprisingly talking with Gray. Even Gray and Evelyn were surprised by it, though their reaction was a kind of opposite.
"HO!! So you finally are in the mood to talk, huh? I thought you would kill yourself before letting me even tell my tale-" Though he was interrupted by a disgusted voice of Oriel, who seemed like he was having a rather hard time just breathing in the same room as him. "Shut up with your lame excuses. Tell us what you want exactly? What do you need from us in order to let us go from here?" Oriel spoke out, making me wonder how this would unfold. "Hmmm… that would be a bit difficult to do so," Gray spoke as he looked at Oriel before he continued," I do not know how to."
-BOOM!!!
And Oriel attacked him immediately, without wasting any time, his eyes as fiery as before.
'This is going nowhere now.' I saw how things would unfold if I let this go so…
"Oriel. Stop!" I shouted as I looked at Oriel, almost going for another attack. Though he paused in between as he looked at me in confusion. Wasn't just him, but the three of them were looking at me with the same look, wondering what I was just trying to do.
'Now… to handle this situation properly, there is actually a very excellent idea that I could use here…'
