Chapter 2243: Precipice of Patience (Battle Seraph Mode)



The Precipice of Patience smashed its two shields which actually turned them into fragments. Adrian thought this was slightly strange as it destroyed its means of defense, but he soon learned why. The fragments of the shields scattered but all of them floated around the Precipice of Patience. As soon as the shield fragments floated around it, the Sigil of Patience suddenly activated around the Precipice of Patience.

[The Precipice of Patience has activated the Sigil of Patience.]

[All damage will be absorbed while it is activated.]

"I think I need to exit." Adrian stated as he created a mirror to disappear from inside the mirror dimension that he pulled forth.

All of the light beams converged and hit the Precipice of Patience, but the Sigil of Patience absorbed all of it. Adrian's sixth sense was correct as he needed to flee because the absorbed energy of the Precipice of Patience is getting converted into an attack. As soon as the light beams were all absorbed, the Precipice of Patience released a powerful blast around it.

Adrian suddenly spats out blood as the entire manifested mirror dimension is destroyed by one attack. The Precipice of Patience looked incredibly menacing as mirror fragments scattered in the area and its wings glowed in a red tint. The Precipice of Patience suddenly locked onto Adrian as it determined that he is the most powerful threat.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

[The Precipice of Patience has its damage increase because of the effects of the Sigil of Patience.]

"Oh! It seems that it is now using an ability that I know." The baby angel Gabriel stated which is met with glares from Adrian and Ark.

"The Sigil of Patience has yet to be disabled. Destroy it!" Adrian stated as he could still see a faint barrier around the Precipice of Patience.

Sirius howled as numerous shadow spikes came up towards the sky. The shadow tendrils hit the barrier around the Precipice of Patience, but it did not quiver. Instead, the Precipice of Patience's barrier suddenly glowed in a different color.

"Do not attack it!" Adrian suddenly commanded but it seems that the Precipice of Patience is not limited in movement.

The Precipice of Patience suddenly flew directly towards Adrian with the intent of ramming its body to the latter. Adrian changed his form and released his wings and flew towards the sky. Adrian's alarm bells were ringing when the barrier was still covering the Precipice of Patience. He knew that this enemy would not be reckless unless there is something else.

The Precipice of Patience was slightly getting faster and faster as it was now able to match Adrian's flight speed. The skies were their safe haven earlier because the Precipice of Patience was rooted onto the island, but it is no longer the case. The Precipice of Patience is in Battle Seraph mode, and it enables more modes of movement for it.

"How did it get this powerful?" Adrian thought as it should not have been this powerful given that fragmented souls do not have a lot of power when it awakens into a more powerful ego. Adrian then looked down to see that the island itself was releasing some strange energy, and it was familiar to him.

"It absorbed energy directly from a dragon vein?! Is that even possible for angels?" Adrian thought as he flew downwards to see how mobile the Precipice of Patience could be.

Just as he was about to hit the ground, Adrian froze time for one second as he changed his direction to a horizontal motion. He also made sure to activate Gravity Control towards the Precipice of Patience. The Precipice of Patience crashed to the island with a powerful explosion that actually created a shockwave that made Adrian lose his balance. The explosion carried the power of all the attacks that hit the Precipice of Patience.

"It lost its barrier! Now is the time to attack!" Ark shouted as he could see that the Precipice of Patience is no longer protected by a barrier, but it was also unharmed even if it crashed to the ground.

Chains and crystalline vines suddenly came out from and bound the arms of the Precipice of Patience. The Precipice of Patience tried to fly but Kanlaon used a spell that afflicted it with darkness. Sirius also used his shadows as a way to grab at the light wings that the Precipice of Patience. The fact that the shadows could grab at the wings of enemy made this fight even easier.

Adrian then started to chant as his entire body could be seen gathering vast amounts of energy. The Precipice of Patience detected this rise in power from the being that he marked as a threat. The Precipice of Patience suddenly turned into rubble which shocked all of them, but it was not destroyed. All the chains, vines, and shadows that bound the Precipice of Patience got destroyed as they were no longer holding onto something.

The Sigil of Patience that is the main reason of the body of the Precipice of Patience being solid suddenly shined once again. The rubble flew towards the Sigil of Patience once again and reformed to the current body of the Precipice of Patience. The sudden reformation of the body of the enemy was not something that they expected, and the reformation speed was incredibly fast as well.

"Behind you, master!" Dodu stated as it suddenly transformed its body into a bubble dome to protect Adrian.

Four more marble arms could be seen trying to kill Adrian as they formed in his blind spot. Dodu was able to protect Adrian and repelled the marble arms. Ark rallied the other soulbounds to attack the Precipice of Patience, but all of their spells and attacks were blocked by the Sigil of Patience activating once again. The Precipice of Patience also released another blast of pure energy from the absorbed attacks.
