Chapter 259: The Long Unused Skill
Chapter 259: The Long Unused Skill
"Keep roaring like an idiot," Bloom sneered as he mocked the giant dragon, "Let me guess you need us to attack you so you will be able to be freed from the restriction here, right?"
The dragon roared and that was enough for Bloom to know he was right. "Let's see how you will take it," the dragon evilly laughed when Bloom reached the other side of his tail, "The horn lied underneath my tail and you can't reach it except through me."
"And?" Bloom didn't show any signs of being anxious while he remained collected on the surface.
"Why not make a deal with me?" the dragon suddenly said.
"What kind of a deal?" Bloom casually asked.
"You let me loose and I won't kill you kind of deal."
"I have to pass on that," Bloom shrugged, "there is no much benefit for me there to be honest."
"Humph, then forget about your precious horn."
"I will get it, so don't think yourself in control of that quest item," Bloom said as he was pretty much sure there was something he could use to get the horn without triggering the protective mechanism around it.
"I doubt you know what you are talking about," the dragon sneered and Bloom simply stood there motionless while thinking about this tricky quest again.
"The map!" he suddenly recalled the part where the map integrity was mentioned more than once. He hurried to take the map and the moment he did, he felt some vibrations over it.
"So it works," he laughed while holding the berserk map with both hands and moved towards the dragon. The moment he took that piece out, the tail started to vibrate alongside the map and that meant he could get the horn without much trouble.
"I won't let you touch it," yet that sneaky dragon roared in anger and the next moment a large number of black shadows appeared around Bloom.
"This" he glanced at these smaller versions of the dragon taking shape slowly around him. "I can't be stopped here," he gritted his teeth before waving his hand and hundreds of his pets appeared all of sudden.
The dragon moved first but Bloom managed to pull this feat much faster than it.
"Damn you! You think those pathetic monsters of yours can stop mine? Kekeke, it's the funniest thing I've ever heard since ancient times."
Bloom glanced at the about to be formed dragons and knew that the trickery dragon here wasn't bluffing. These versions of it seemed quite strong and Bloom was sure they must possess similar abilities like this dragon.
And he was pretty much sure these copies weren't bound by anything here.
'Hurry,' he didn't hesitate to open his chat and send this distress signal to Antoan, 'Come and bring everyone.'
'What?' Antoan sent back while Bloom noticed him starting to move with the entire group. They were far from his distance, so they couldn't spot the recent development that occurred around him.
Bloom didn't need to answer as when the team moved closer to him, they found the clones and realized everything. "Make sure not to hit that dragon," he shouted while keeping the paper in hand and moving forward, "Not a single skill shall fall over it, understand?"
He stressed over this again and they all realized how important this warning was. "Don't worry boss, we won't hit it," Antoan shouted, "just make it quick, alright?"
Bloom only nodded and kept moving forward while Antoan and his team summoned their pets and started a fight against those dragon clones.
Bloom was surrounded in hemisphere by many layers of his pets, while the main fight was raged by the team's pets.
"Damn you player," the dragon seemed slightly stressed, "you are cheating!"
"Using my team players isn't cheating," Bloom sneered while not stopping advancing at all. The more he got near the dragon tail, the stronger the resistance he felt coming from his map.
At first it was only vibrating, but now it felt like he was holding a giant rock and climbing a rough mountain. It was getting harder to step forward, yet he never stopped moving.
Using all his power he kept pushing his body until he finally reached below the tail. The tail was now pushed up, roughly ten meters above his head.
If he left the map for a single second, the tail would drop over his head and kill him without a doubt.
He wasn't worrying about losing one level, but much more worried over losing this map.
"Kekeke, you won't be able to unearth that horn now," the dragon seemed amused, "the horn is stuck to the skull of the dragon. To take it you need to dig deeper and take the dragon skull first. A task not a single player can do."
Bloom turned back while gazing up at his team. He was considering something and the dragon misunderstood his meaning.
"You can't bring any player here, only the holder of the key can approach only you, kekeke."
'Antoan,' Bloom hurriedly opened the chat and sent this to his butler, 'lead everyone to the side where they won't be able to see me.'
'And the dragon clones?'
'Attract them as well,' he sent, 'make sure everyone understands that this is for me to retreat without any hindrance.'
'Leave it to me.'
Bloom wasn't thinking at all of summoning his team here. He doubted they would be able to approach without the map, yet he had another plan in mind.
One that required no other player would spot him doing it.
He waited, and in less than a couple of minutes Antoan led his team members further away from his sight. He waited for more minutes just to be sure no one would spot him and the dragon kept its silence while feeling more puzzled about this.
Then Bloom acted.
"Shade doppelganger festival!"
This skill was once his ace and main one but after that incident he stopped using it. He was forced not to use such skill in front of any player, as this was considered a trademark of Bloom identity.
