Chapter 253: Having Suspicions Of Traitors In The Team

Chapter 253: Having Suspicions Of Traitors In The Team

Bloom just stayed his place motionless for a couple of minutes before he finally turned around and headed towards the distant monster tide.

"Idiots," he simply harrumphed and pointed his four swords towards the front where he used his sword tornado skill over the monsters.

His attack came to clear a path around a certain spot, just next to Anna and her elite team.

"Welcome back," she laughed while killing a monster, "I saw you being backstabbed by some players."

"They are just idiots," he shrugged, "I just hope they won't come here again or else"

She laughed again while he knew the ones he killed wouldn't be able to easily log in except after a day or two. He was still collecting death souls, and all of them were now placed over one stat strength.

He knew the importance of being strong, just one hit and he would kill a monster or player weaker than him. That was what he aimed for.

As the fight proceeded, the number of monsters killed here were getting higher. Bloom could easily gain one level at the least, but he refrained from dealing the last blow every time.

So he just had to pass through the entire frontline while helping others in reducing the high Hp of those monsters.

Despite that he couldn't help but kill some monsters from time to time by mistake, yet that wasn't enough for him to cross the final step towards leve thirty.

"It's over," Tondel said while giving Bloom a hatred glance, "let's go my lady, hoping someone will be up to his words and finish his quest."

Bloom simply sneered while Anna nodded to him before returning to the town.

'How are you doing now?' he sent to Antoan and his team before the latter sent back:

``We gained a couple of levels here.'

'Great, come to the main gate then.'

Bloom didn't wait for long before Antoan appeared with his team. Apparently the news of him being here had spread already around the game as he noticed more players flooding to this town.

"I hope they aren't just tempted by the jerk's money," Antoan glanced at a couple of big teams who just passed by the gate while giving Bloom a deep glance.

"Even if they were, I don't mind hitting their heads to the ground a couple of times to make them be clear headed again," Bloom shrugged while totally ignoring those players. "Come."

He moved outside the gate and many players were already eyeing him and his team. "Are we going to continue to level up here?" A player asked while feeling slightly nervous of those eyes watching them all around.

"No," Bloom shook his head, "I've something to do and will need your help there."

He could venture all alone but that would put him at the risk of leveling up over thirty. So having more with him would decrease the total experience gained by a great chunk.

"A quest?" Antoan wasn't stupid as he already figured it out.

"You can say that," Bloom nodded without even turning around.

"We are we heading outside the town?"

Bloom evaded the path leading to the leveling grounds while taking the route heading towards outside the town.

"Just follow and you'll know," Bloom didn't like this player as he kept asking questions all the time. 'Who is he? Is he trusted?' he hurriedly sent to Antoan who instantly answered.

'He is the son of one of the main assistants to your late father,' Antoan said yet his words didn't help. Bloom wasn't Willy and he didn't have any feelings for that late father.

'Is he trusted?' he asked as this was all that he cared about.

'I trust him,' Antoan answered, 'he is just a talkative type.'

'I already can tell,' Bloom sighed, 'if he doesn't shut up his mouth then I might find myself unable to control my sword.'

Bloom didn't like those who asked a lot without doing anything in return. All of his team was already an extra weight for him, helping them to level up and defending them.

And he was already getting tired of this. He took them with him to help, and if they didn't really do that then he would better seek another elite team to nourish.

After all this was a team game, not a solo game.

It seemed Antoan reprimanded that youth as he kept his mouth shut until they all reached the outskirts of the town.

"Is there anyone following us?" Bloom asked with no care at all while he took out the map he received from Anna to check it out.

"So far it's good," Antoan said as he left behind a couple of shade sons to scout and observe their rear.

"Good," Bloom started to examine the map, looking for his current spot and finding a path to link him to his destination.

"System alert: player can choose to merge this map with his own to gain better guidance and permanent access to it."

"This" Bloom was slightly tempted to do so, but what he had in mind about that warning to lose or even damage the map made him choose not to accept such a rich offer.

"I decline," he simply said before returning to the map and continued to examine it.

The place of that fallen dragon was tens of miles to the east of here. There was a deep valley with many swamps inside, making the place filled with many dangers.

"Swamps inside valleys wouldn't they release toxic miasma?" Bloom suddenly got some inspiration before checking the map again. "That's possible," he paused before knowing he was heading to a death trap if he continued like this.

"Send someone to the town," Bloom transferred tens of thousands of gold coins to Antoan in one move, greatly startling him.

"This" Antoan glanced at this before Bloom said: "Make him find any potions to fight against poisons especially toxic miasma."

"Miasma?" Antoan didn't get what Bloom meant but Bloom just nodded as he said, "send someone to fetch those potions now."

"Remon," Antoan turned around but Bloom's eyes made him pause as this was the youth Bloom spoke with him about from before. "Find Lary and bring him back now."

Lary was a shade son, one of those he left behind to secure the way. "Why not sending him a message instead?" Remon grunted and Bloom's unlikeness to this kid just rose up a couple of degrees.

"Good suggestion," Antoan said as Remon didn't move to execute the order and he was pretty much sure Bloom might do something stupid now.

"He is coming," Antoan said to Bloom, trying to divert his attention off Remon.

Yet Bloom already sat his gaze upon this kid, and if he had more doubt towards him then he wouldn't hesitate to screw his arrogance with the old relation with Willy's dad.

"Good," Bloom said before Antoan added, "he is already on the way to the town. How many potions do you seek?"

"As much as he can buy," Bloom simply said as he didn't know what was enough and what wasn't.

"Alright," Antoan paused before glancing around, "are we going to wait here or keep going?"

"Wait," Bloom said while fixing his gaze upon Remon without flinching.

And that made Antoan slightly worried, after all he vouched for that kid and would hate to lose such a player he trusted.

Lary took roughly half an hour to find the potions. He simply used a ticket to return to the town, sought the auction house first but found nothing worthy there.

"Make him go to the potion store," Bloom simply said and Antoan delivered the word to Lary.

"The store had some potions," Antoan sighed, "but not as many as you want."

"Make him buy everything there and head to another store."

Unlike the village, towns would contain more than one store to sell items. After a tour around the town Lary finally brought many potions and all were delivered to Antoan who shared them with Bloom.

"Let's go," Bloom said while giving Remon a warning glance.

"Won't we wait for him?" Antoan was surprised.

"Leave him back at the town," Bloom shrugged, "I need eyes there."

"O- Ok," Antoan didn't know why but the mood of his master seemed a bit off. He glanced at Remon before sighing, as it was very clear that Bloom sat Remon as a suspicious target and he couldn't do anything about it.

'Hopefully you won't do anything stupid,' he inwardly prayed, but he underestimated the sin of arrogance and greed.

"This way," Bloom led them in circles while sending the orders to Antoan asking about any news from the shade sons they left behind.

"No news so far interesting," Bloom softly muttered as despite one hour of walking in circles his scout team didn't get any sniff of any player. "That's simply quite odd."

It was logical for his enemy to send some teams to test the waters and scout him, especially when he went in a different direction than other players.

Yet after one hour no player was spotted. That meant only one of the two options he had in mind, and he had to make sure which one was the case.

"Wait for me here," he simply said before walking forward, "I'll go to scan the area."

"Should I come with you?" Antoan asked but Bloom simply denied. "Keep yourselves here," he loudly said, 'Don't let anyone leave your sight not even for a second,' he privately said while knowing that it would very stupid if anyone of them tried to follow him.

As for the whole theory of having traitors or not, for him he didn't find any weirdness in such a theory, but he had to be sure not to casually accuse people, especially if his suspicion only was based on feelings.
