Naval Gacha System: It's Time To Monopolize The Seven Seas!

Chapter 194: | 194 | Final Battle Part 7

*Shield 1-1, orders have been given. Push forward.* Within one of the leading Abrams tank in the spearhead formation of the ground forces, the calm voice of a communication operator escaped the metallic confines of the radio.

From the communication operator, the tank operators were given the orders to move forward into the hill in front of them.

*This is Shield 1-1, Copy.* With the orders from the top, the tank operators didn't hesitate and quickly made their engine rumble. Their metallic interior trembled in a slight vibration as the tank began moving forward.

Surrounding Abrams in the spearhead formation followed and also drove forward into the hill. Behind them were dozens of IFVs, remaining in the rear of the forward formation to support the MBTs. The military trucks were left behind, awaiting for further orders from the top.

As the forward formation of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles treaded forward into the tiny hill, a couple of attack helicopters flew above them for support. With the emergence of the attack helicopters, their mission was clear.

It was to plow everything in their way.

*Shield 1-1, This is Arrow 2-5. Perceiving enemy troops 1 kilometer north, increase turret degrees and prepare suppression.* After a short while, words from an attack helicopter resounded in their interiors. The tank operators didn't hesitate, and quickly, the gunner raised the turret degrees.

The commander observed the battlefield and saw nothing but the top of the tiny hill. But he understood that moments later, what they would see would soon change. As the Abram tanks keep rumbling onward, their tracks broke up the ground while their engines roared with ferocity.

It didn't take long before the forward formation reached the apex of the tiny hill. As they reached it, they finally saw the scope of the adversaries. The commander and driver had their mouths agape, unable to quite make sense of what they were seeing before them.

*Prepare to move forward, plow through the enemy line and give them hell.* The strategy was simple. It was to destroy them in the most simplest way as possible. It was through sustain and extreme firepower.

The engines continued rumble as the Abram tanks drove forward without hesitation or delay. The attack helicopters above them was already moving ahead of them, hovering about the ground and opening up with a salvo of hellfire missiles.

*Swooosh!* *Swuuushh!* *Swooooosh!*

*Swuuuushhh!* *Swoosh!* *Swuushhh!*

Hundreds of hellfire missiles escaped from the weapon platforms of dozens of attack helicopters. They pierced through the field in-between the ground forces and the enemy army, marking the borders between the two conflicting sides.

The salvo of hellfire missiles soon made their impact in the middle of the enemy army and their frontlines, bringing about thunderous explosions that scattered throughout the battlefield. It was like a fireworks show, though a horrifying one at that.

*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*

*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*

Radiance of destruction flickered in and out through the heavens and the earth. It was as though the explosions itself were dancing amidst the evergreen plains that would soon be smeared in the crimson red of blood.

The cries of soldiers echoed throughout the vast field. Their comrades, colleagues, and brothers have been silenced with a single stroke of light. Corpses began to scatter along with pools of blood forming near the gathering of corpses.

"Calm yourselves, Men! We must not break the line! We are what separates the capital and their heretical touch! Be brave and stand with your pride as a human!." The colonial commanders leading the army roared as they yelled out while riding their horses.

Though, the colonial commanders were interrupted as the ground they stood on trembled. They looked onward and saw mechanical monsters plunging towards them. The barrels of these monsters were pointed at their army, and what followed were blasts.

*Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!*

The advancing armored line of Abram tanks began bombarding the front line of the enemy army. Each of their shells pierced through the air, impacting the colonial guards with incendiary explosions. The fiery flames of the United Navy soon enraptured the battlefield.

However, the army of Terra weren't completely helpless under the firepower of the United Army. In their rear were golems, reaching the height of 10 meters. These golems were creations of the Magus Tower, and they numbered around in hundreds, scattered throughout the army.

*ROAR!* Several of them have already started charging forward, intending to destroy the mechanical beast that was massacring their colonial guards in the frontlines. However, before it could reach its destination, it had unfortunately met its foe.

Beside the armored line of Abram tanks were the infantry fighting vehicles that had joined the battle. These were a group of Bradleys' that were meant to softened the weed that would be plowed by the armored vehicles beside it.

*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

The 25mm Bushmasters chain guns of several Bradleys' began firing at the charging golems. Each traced that it had met from the IFVs broke a part of its body, slowly dwindling its size and durability. They were practically breaking the golems apart.

With the charge of numerous golems halted by the appearance of the IFVs, the armored line soon turned its focus towards them. Turrets of various Abram tanks pointed towards nearby golems, and didn't hesitate to immediately blast them apart.

The golems that stood near the frontlines were broken into rocks laying on the ground. The colonial guards, who were busy fighting for their lives, had begun unconsciously retreating from the frontlines. However, their weren't to be faulted with.

After all, they had expected to fight against humans. Why were they fighting against metallic beasts that breath out explosions and plow through them like grass? But, regardless of their unspoken fear, they still stood their ground for the most part.

The Bradleys' began firing at the colonial guards, their 25mm chain guns piercing through bodies, bringing about horrific sight of scattered limbs and broken figures. Blood splattered along the evergreen grass as the armament of the IFVs kept firing out a torrent of metal.

The colonial commanders leading the army of Terra were clearly troubled. After all, the land firepower of the United Navy were stronger than they had expected. Their golems, superior numbers, and exceptional training weren't giving them any results.

"Call for the siege engines! We must destroy their mechanical beasts!" One of the colonial commanders roared out, which caused a chain reaction. The orders from the front line soon reached the rear, to which the commanders of the army also accepted.

At this moment, the siege engines were called into battle.

Its name was the Arcane Siege Engine, a magically-powered siege engine built by the Magus Tower to fight their wars in land. If the Wyvern Riders were the humanity's power of the skies, the Arcane Siege Engines would be the humanity's power of the land.

The colonial guards made way as giant weird-looking machines emerged from the rear of the army. All of them stood tall, reaching the height of 20 meters and the length of 30 meters. They were giants in comparison to the mechanical beasts of the United Navy.

At the forefront of each Arcane Siege Engine was their Arcanum Cannon. It was practically a magically-powered cannon that didn't require the presence of cannon balls. And its power... Wasn't to be underestimated.

*This is Shield 1-4, enemy tanks detected. Prepare for invasive maneuvers.* While the Abram tanks were undefeatable in the face of the colonial guards and their golems, they weren't foolish enough to test their luck against the magical-machinery of the Magus Tower.

The armored line soon broke up into pieces, scattering so that the Arcane Siege Engines wouldn't be able to take them out all at once. On the other hand, the attack helicopters circled around, their next targets, the Arcane Siege Engines.

As the attack helicopters got nearer to the siege engines of the Magus Tower, they quickly fired their chain guns and released their remaining ordnance. *BRrrrrrtttt!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!* Sadly, however... Their attacks were proven to be ineffective. A runic shielding surrounded the Arcane Siege Engines, making them mobile fortresses.

*Assault ineffective. Enemy tanks are equipped with runic shielding, contacting for reinforcements.* The attack helicopters, after noticing their useless attacks, quickly hovered away from the Arcane Siege Engines, which continued to move forward.

One of the Arcane Siege Engines soon had its front pointed at one of the MBTs. Its Arcanum Cannon gleamed with radiance, and in mere moments, a beamed of energy escaped the siege gun. It pierced through the battlefield, combusting the air surrounding it.

The beamed of energy quickly impacted one of the MBTs, immediately bringing about a large explosion that would echo throughout the battlefield. A brilliant light then illuminated, followed by a thunderous roar.

*BOOM!!!*

After the following explosion, no wreckage of the MBT could be found. There was nothing but a hot crater brimming with molten rock. It was a tragedy, to which every tank operators and pilots saw in the battlefield.

The silence after the horrific explosion ended with cheers of the colonial guards. One of their nightmares had died giving them hope against the seemingly undefeatable United Army before them. Though, their high morale quickly died down.

After all, above the skies were dozens of UAVs soaring through the heavens. They were like angels descending from the above, sent by the gods themselves. But one would be a fool to think of them as their allies. The army of Terra quickly realized what was to come.

The reapers have emerged.
