Chapter 35: Curiosity
Chapter 35: Curiosity
Juncheng Antique City is far from the Medical University. Yao Ran was worried about being targeted, so she took detours. Two hours later, she arrived at Juncheng Antique City.
After Yao Ran entered Area A, she hid in the shadows and observed the surrounding situation for a while. Seeing that no one was around, she drove to the building, took out the hydraulic pliers, and cut off the anti-theft lock.
After putting away the boat and the hydraulic pliers, Yao Ran walked into the building. The water was up to her thighs, but everything inside was intact.
She walked in slowly and saw that most of the antiques were well-preserved. The objects displayed on the tables were not damaged by being submerged in the water, while the walls were hung with paintings and other delicate items.
People were busy looking for food and medicine, and no one came to collect these antiques, so Yao Ran was not polite and took everything there. After she cleaned up the main exhibition hall, she walked to another area and collected everything that looked valuable.
Area A displays classical furniture, ancient clocks, porcelain, jade, agarwood, jadeite, bamboo, ivory, horn carvings, stationery, calligraphy and painting, and many more.
As long as Yao Ran can open the door and get in, she will take everything with her. When she finally came out of Area A, it was already two o'clock in the morning.
Yao Ran quickly went to Areas B and Area C to collect the antiques. She comes here to find antiques and expand her space. As for whether there were other supplies in Juncheng Antique City, Yao Ran didn't have time to look for them.
After cleaning up everything in Juncheng Antique City, Yao Ran took out the inflatable boat. Before she could get on the boat, she heard the sound of a motorboat approaching. Yao Ran didn't waste any time, got on the boat, and hid in the shadows.
While observing those people with night vision binoculars, Yao Ran transmitted her consciousness into space. When her consciousness entered the space, she was stunned.
After two expansions, the farmland, warehouse area, lake, and pond expanded four times compared to their original size. But now, everything has doubled in size, including the house. Yao Ran entered the house and saw a fifty-square-meter kitchen. Seeing a door on the side, she opened it, and inside was a three-hundred-square-meter storage room.
Before her surprise subsided, she saw another door in the kitchen, walked over to it, and opened it. The moment she opened the door, cold air hit her face, making her shiver. It turns out that this is an ice cellar.
Leaving the kitchen, Yao Ran found a staircase that appeared in the living room. However, there was nothing at the top of the stairs.
Yao Ran looked at the stairs thoughtfully, guessing that there should be a second floor. Looks like she needs to find more antiques to upgrade her space.
After checking everything in the space, Yao Ran retracted her consciousness from it. As her space expanded, she had more room to gather supplies.
Yao Ran only spent a few minutes checking her space, and the motorboat had just passed the entrance of Juncheng Antique City. Judging from their clothes, this group of men look like soldiers.
'Why are the soldiers here? Isn't the top priority now to ensure enough food and medicine?'
Out of curiosity, Yao Ran stayed there until the soldiers came out. She looked at their bulging military backpacks but couldn't tell what was inside.
Yao Ran raised her eyebrows slightly and thought, 'There seems to be a hidden room or storage room that I don't know about. I wonder what kind of things they hide here.'
Although she had many questions, no one could answer them. When the soldiers left, the sky slowly changed color. Yao Ran looked at the waterproof watch on her left wrist and decided to go back before dawn.
When Yao Ran arrived at Building 3, she saw many people getting ready to go out. Seeing this, she hid behind a building and dismantled the inflatable boat's engine. Using two oars, she slowly paddled back to the apartment building.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Before she even got close, the middle-aged woman, who had asked her a question in an elevator before, saw her. She pointed at Yao Ran and said, "Look at that! She has a boat!"
As soon as she finished speaking, everyone standing by the broken window turned around. Their eyes lit up when they saw that the person coming was the young woman living alone on the 20th floor.
Yao Ran noticed the greed and excitement in their eyes and sneered in her heart.
The water level was higher than when she left last night, and the height from the water surface to the window was only half a meter. If those people hadn't blocked the way, Yao Ran could easily jump into the corridor.
Before those people could speak, Yao Ran picked up her backpack and calmly said, "Get out of the way."
When the middle-aged woman heard this, her face darkened. She pointed at Yao Ran and said, "Is this how you talk to your elders?"
Hearing her words, Yao Ran chuckled, "Elders? My elders have already gone to visit the King of Hell. Or do you want to be my elder and visit him too? I can send you on the road if you want."
As soon as she finished speaking, the middle-aged woman choked up at Yao Ran's words. She was speechless for a moment, then looked at the others and angrily said, "Look at her. She was so rude!"
Irritated because they wasted her time, Yao Ran's face turned cold. She reached into her backpack and pulled out a nail gun from her space.
She pointed the nail gun at the crowd and said coldly, "Get out of the way. I won't say it a third time."
The moment she took out the nail gun, the crowd was stunned.
