Chapter 107: Arrived
David did not give Mery a chance to speak. He pressed her head down on the top of his chest.
"Huh, we'll die together if this plane crashes while we sleep," David said, hugging her tighter.
Regardless of things, hugging a woman's body is always an amazing experience.
Apparently, Mery could still speak.
"Don't worry too much about it, this plane's system is too advanced to crash for no reason. It can even dodge missiles. However, I guess it's not bad to die cuddling with you. When our bodies are found, Miss Jane and Miss Erza might go crazy." She laughed as she said the last sentence so David rolled his eyes.
David chose not to respond anymore, and closed his eyes.
However, Mery said again, "to be honest, David, it's very comfortable being hugged by you."
While saying that, she suddenly unbuttoned David's shirt so that his chest was exposed and her face rested on his chest without any barrier.
David didn't know whether to laugh or cry but he let her do that.
It didn't matter if she wanted more comfort.
Minute by minute, David finally fell asleep.
He slept quite soundly because that was what his body wanted.
His spiritual power seemed to be doing a strengthening process to his body while he was asleep.
Perhaps Mery herself was also sleeping soundly now.
David was not sure how long he had been asleep.
When he opened his eyes, he found that the sky was already dark.
No, it was similar to the sky at around 4 AM.
Mery also opened her eyes when David opened his.
She looked more refreshed now.
Maybe she rarely slept for long so she slept well this time.
After that, she looked at the watch on her wrist.
"We should have entered the Southeast Asia region, it will probably be about another hour before we arrive in Jakarta, the capital of the region, ASEAN," she said as she sat up.
"Do your parents live in that city?" asked David in response.
"Yes!" Mery nodded with a faint smile.
"Let's take a shower first, you can change because Miss Erza has prepared quite a lot of men's clothes on this plane," she added.
She pointed at a certain room as she said that. It was probably inside that room that the men's clothes provided for David were located.
"Is there a bathroom in that room?" David asked again.
"Every room has a bathroom," Mery replied.
After she said that, she suddenly smiled slightly and said, "how about we take a shower together, David?"
"What made you think of that idea?" David asked with a strange expression.
They did sleep in each other's arms, but they had never made love. She really wanted to take a shower together with him, would she not mind being naked in front of him without the purpose of making love?
"Why not, I'm comfortable with your embrace, I think there will be more comfort if we shower together," she replied calmly.
This somewhat provoked David's desire, but after that David shook his head.
"I don't think now is the time," he said, instantly making Mery pout.
"Hmph, how long will you keep rejecting me." She snorted in annoyance.
"Only now, later maybe I won't reject you anymore," David replied.
"Wh-what do you mean?" Mery's voice faltered slightly at David's answer.
Was this a sign that he wouldn't reject a special relationship with her? No, they didn't need a special relationship, the important thing was that when they were together, they weren't separated by clothes anymore.
"You are an attractive woman," David replied as he sat up.
"Now I realize that I want all the things from you."
David pinched her cheek after he said that.
He then stood up before walking to the room that Mery had indicated.
Mery's face froze until she disappeared inside the room.
"Hahahaha." However, the woman then laughed softly.
"My life seems to be more fun, Miss Erza really knows how to bring out the best in me," she said in a low voice.
***
Not long after, David walked out of the room, back to the cabin of the airplane, which now had no one.
Mery should have entered one of the rooms and taken a shower.
A woman always takes longer to shower. David waited in that cabin for about 15 minutes before he saw Mery again. She was wearing new clothes.
Only, even though it was new clothes, it was still the same type, consisting of long pants and a tight tanktop.
The difference was that she was also wearing a leather jacket that was not closed.
"Do you want to eat first," she said to David after she came out of a room.
David shook his head as he replied, "I'll just eat at the restaurant later."
"Okay!" Mery nodded.
"Let's go to the cockpit," she added before taking a step.
David followed her there as he wanted to see the process of the plane descending.
As before, Mery immediately sat in the pilot's seat, and this time, David chose to sit in the co-pilot's seat even though he didn't really understand the plane yet. From there, the view ahead was clearer.
Far ahead, he saw a huge city that was extremely bright when viewed from above, as if there were countless lives there.
He had already seen this city on the internet, a metropolitan city where you could see very rich people and very poor people on every street.
In theory, the city was very prosperous with a huge GDP and a city budget that might exceed that of Paris.
However, the corruption and inequality is absolutely absurd.
A few people controlled almost all of the city's wealth while the rest were just scraping by with a daily income of less than 5 Dollars.
"It's been a long time since I've been home, I hope this city has made some progress," Mery said as she looked at the city ahead.
"What do you think of the city you came from?" David asked her, curious about her thoughts.
She left only because of family problems, not because of her country's problems, so she shouldn't hate her country.
"It's Heaven for the rich and hell for the poor," Mery replied.
"I know about the inequality in the city, but isn't what you're saying too much?" said David, a little unexpectedly with his answer.
The poor might always live like hell wherever they were, but how could this be a better place for the rich compared to truly developed cities like Paris or London.
"Because everything is much cheaper here, including human dignity," Mery replied calmly. "You can practically buy anyone's dignity, including officials and military brass. And poor people, you can treat them like slaves. As for European men like you, even if you're poor, you'll be treated like a king here. Isn't it like Heaven, especially if you are rich, you can do anything."
Mery looked at David with a faint smile.
"If you want to have fun, I'll take you to places where you'll really get a taste of heaven," she added.
"I don't think I'll be coming to those places," David replied, immediately refusing.
"Besides, it might not be as great as you say. I'm sure the fun is related to women, but you know, I have the best women by my side. I don't need random women with low values."
"Even the nicest man with the best wife will still be tempted by other women. I'm sure you'll withdraw your words if I take you to those places," Mery replied. She evidently disagreed with David's opinion.
David just smiled, choosing not to continue saying anything.
Even if there was indeed a very sensational service, he was sure that the sensation would not exceed the sensation of his affair with Jane's mother, Evelyn, which was why he did not take Mery's offer seriously.
Since David did not speak anymore, Mery was finally unable to say anything else.
At this time, she began to focus on the plane's rudder as it was getting closer to the airport.
She first contacted the airport supervisors.
David listened to their conversation.
At this hour, there happened to be not many planes wanting to land, so they did not wait long before being allowed to land.
Just like the previous takeoff, Mery managed to land the plane smoothly and then brought the plane to the parking lot.
When it arrived at the parking lot, David saw a truck carrying an airplane ladder approaching the plane.
Mery had not docked the airplane at the airport terminal, so they had to get off with the ladder.
David followed Mery to the door of the airplane, and got off with her where the door closed as soon as they got off.
The truck driver carrying the ladder looked at them in surprise.
He knew that it was a private plane, so it didn't carry many passengers. However, he was surprised that there was no pilot coming out with the two passengers.
The problem was that the plane's door was now closed and the way it was parked suggested that it wouldn't be flying anymore.
"Wait!" The truck driver finally shouted, chasing after David and Mery in a hurry as he wanted to confirm the matter.
"What's wrong?" Mery only looked back without stopping her steps.
Actually, she answered in the language of this country, showing the driver that she was a local.
The driver was taken aback for a moment before asking, "are there still people in the plane? If there are, please ask them to get off immediately so I can move the ladder."
The driver also had a logical reason why he should confirm this.
In response, Mery shook her head.
"It's just the two of us, there's no one else now, you can take the ladder away," she said.
