Chapter 194 194. Kevin Vs Uncle Lucky.

Chapter 194 194. Kevin Vs Uncle Lucky.

The young man walked into his living room, only to find the silhouette of a person with glowing crimson eyes sitting on a chair and grinning at him while a murderous aura was being radiated from the silhouette.

Not wanting to waste any more time, Kevin was the first to speak up, "Hello Uncle."

Hearing a familiar voice, Lucky called out his nephew's name, his confusion evident in his voice.

"Kevin....?"

But before he could finish his sentence, he saw a huge table flying towards him, causing Lucky to leap to the side while he was still in a state of shock as to what was going on.

"Kevin!! What is the meaning of this?!" He demanded in a tone of rage mixed with confusion, but instead of giving him a reply, Kevin sent more furniture flying towards his Uncle's way.

By the time there was no more furniture left for him to throw, Kevin suddenly appeared before his uncle, grabbing him by the collar with one hand before raising him, while his other hand curled into a fist.

He slammed it straight into his Uncle's face, sending him flying towards the wall behind him.

He dropped heavily to the ground after hitting the wall.

The impact of Kevin's fist in his uncle's face was enough to crush an average human's skull, but Kevin watched in shock and disbelief as his Uncle's disfigured head slowly returned to his original facial structure.

Now, Kevin knew for sure that his uncle wasn't completely human. He was either an awakened or a demon.

Either way, Kevin was going to find out.

"So, It was you all along," Kevin growled, grabbing his uncle by the collar and pulling him closer to his face before curling his fist and slamming it straight into his uncle's face again.

"You were the one who started it all!!"

The impact sent his uncle flying out the entrance door.

"Max trusted you!"

"I trusted you!!" He shouted with fury, tears welling up in his eyes before streaming down his cheeks.

"But we never knew....." Kevin paused mid-sentence, then inhaled and exhaled deeply before adding, "... We never knew you were the cause of it all," Kevin curled his fist tightly as he stepped out of the building.

Lucky chuckled to himself and staggered a bit as he got back to his feet before wiping off the remaining blood at the corner of his lips and spitting out the little that was still in his mouth.

He watched as Kevin stepped out of his house and continued walking towards him, he couldn't help himself from chuckling once again as he said.

"It seems someone has revealed the truth to you," Lucky said, his tone sounding depressed as he slowly dusted off the dirt on his clothes before muttering a few words while cracking his neck and fingers.

"No worries, I'll be paying them a visit right after I'm done with you."

Right after he uttered those words, Lucky vanished from where he previously stood and appeared behind Kevin.

'He's fast!!' Kevin thought to himself in shock and swiftly spun around to thwart his uncle's attack, but Kevin was too late and he was unable to react to the kick directed towards his guts, which sent him flying across the street.

"I know you feel reluctant to attack me with your full strength," Lucky walked towards Kevin who was trying to get back up on his feet.

After seeing how Kevin struggled to get back to his feet, he added. "But I don't care about that."

Lucky then lifted his feet to send another kick towards Kevin's stomach, sending him flying further across the street.

"Fight me with everything you've got because I won't hold back as well."

Kevin used his hands to feebly raise himself up, spitting out a huge chunk of blood on the floor before wiping off the remnant from his lips.

He turned towards his uncle who was approaching his direction and Kevin gritted his teeth with rage.

A grin appeared on Lucky's face as he witnessed this.

He knew that Kevin was still feeling conflicted about fighting against him.

After all, he was Kevin's favourite uncle. A person he had known for as long as he could remember.

It hurt Kevin every time he had to lift his hands to hit his uncle. Moreover, he still didn't know why his uncle did what he did in the first place.

To Kevin, his uncle had everything he could ever want.

Fame, money and a really good job that he had always dreamed of. The only thing he never had was a woman to share his burdens with. However, Kevin still couldn't understand how and why any of this would trigger his uncle into betraying his own brother.

Hence, the reason why Kevin was reluctant to fight and hurt his uncle.

However, his uncle didn't want him to hold himself back from displaying his true potential.

He wanted a serious battle with Kevin, and to do that, he knew that he had to make things a bit clearer for Kevin to understand the situation they were currently in.

"let me make things a lot easier for you," Lucky began, as he pulled Kevin up by his hair while hoping that his next words would trigger Kevin and make him take their battle a little more seriously.

Kevin cried out in agony from the way his uncle was holding him up, but the next words that came out of Uncle Lucky's lips made Kevin forget about the pain he felt.

"Your real uncle is dead, he died even before your mother went missing."

Hearing those words, Kevin's eyes widened in disbelief. At first, he thought he had heard him wrong, but after glancing at the evil grin on his Uncle's face, Kevin became certain of what he had just heard.

Now he knew that his uncle would never betray his brother, and most importantly, it meant that Kevin wasn't currently fighting against the uncle he had known and respected over the years, but instead, his enemy was someone who was currently using his identity.

In other words, Kevin had no reason not to take this battle seriously.
