Chapter 125: New World
Chapter 125: Chapter 125: New World
[Technique Reversal "Red" Lv5 (1/20000): Centered around "Red" to create repulsive force; its minimum power is twice that of "Blue," with maximum output reaching infinity, akin to a small supernova. With significant energy expenditure, it can accelerate the flow of time in the surrounding area!]
Assimilating the wealth of new information in his mind, Alex understood the transformation in his Technique Reversal "Red." Since "Red" is the reverse of Technique Blue, its upgraded abilities mirror those of "Blue." In addition to greatly enhanced repulsive force, it could now accelerate the flow of time in its vicinity or separate two characteristics of an object.
According to the information in his mind, when Technique Reversal "Red" reaches a higher level, Alex will even be able to separate abstract concepts, such as good and evil—similar to a talisman's power. Currently, however, he could only separate simpler things, like extracting water from wood.
After leveling up Technique Reversal "Red," Alex returned from his pocket universe to his residence, then stepped forward directly to appear in front of Hiruzen Sarutobi.
Seeing Alex materialize, Hiruzen, though accustomed to Alex's visits, couldn't help but be amazed each time. This ability to travel instantly through time and space without any external aid was far beyond the reach of any ninja.
After a brief moment of reflection, Hiruzen immediately rose from his seat, bowing deeply to Alex. "Lord Alex, you've come! You only needed to signal the ANBU, and I would have come to meet you!"
Hiruzen was still in his prime, carrying a weighty authority quite different from his later years. Yet, before Alex, he seemed to shrink into a humbled figure, fussing over Alex attentively. Understandably so—for who could remain calm before someone with the power to easily destroy worlds? Only someone of equal strength, perhaps.
Alex patted Hiruzen on the shoulder, took a seat on the Hokage's throne, and glanced at the documents on the desk in front of him.
Most of the files pertained to the other four Great Ninja Villages. With the aid of Alex's symbiotes, any village would realize that resistance against Konoha meant a dead end. The unification of the ninja world under Konoha was now an unstoppable trend.
Alex skimmed through a few of the dull files before losing interest. Casually, he asked Hiruzen, "How's the work I assigned you coming along, little Hiruzen?"
Hiruzen's eyes narrowed slightly, and he carefully composed his response. "Lord Alex, as per your instructions, during the collection of the Tailed Beasts, we have asserted dominance over the other four Great Villages, compelling them to surrender unconditionally. Iwagakure, Kumogakure, and Sunagakure submitted without resistance, while Kirigakure initially refused and attempted to kill our emissary.
"However, after Rin Nohara easily defeated the Third Mizukage, they also surrendered. We should complete the final integration of the five villages within a week.
"As for the information you requested, we've gathered most of it. We've found three instances matching your description: First, five individuals attempted to attack Madara Uchiha during the Warring States Period, but Madara killed them easily. Second, seven individuals appeared suddenly and tried to assassinate the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki, Killer B, but he killed them effortlessly with a Tailed Beast Bomb. Lastly, ten individuals appeared in our camp just days ago, but initially, no one detected their presence. Only later did we identify their anomaly through investigation, so we've included them in our report."
Alex interlaced his fingers and rested his chin, pondering Hiruzen's information. He had anticipated the first event and paid it little mind.
The second, however, confirmed that this world had been marked by a multiversal entity, perhaps akin to a "Master God Space." This knowledge held no immediate value but would become invaluable once Alex's strength reached a certain threshold—enabling him to use this shinobi world as a gateway into the Master God Space itself.
After contemplating for a while, Alex nodded approvingly at the deferential Hiruzen, who awaited instructions like an employee before a boss.
"Well done," he said. "Keep gathering intelligence. When I next return to this world, I'll grant you eternal life and even more powerful abilities."
Hiruzen froze for a moment, then carefully asked, "Are you...leaving this world?"
He didn't quite understand. Did "leaving this world" mean leaving this planet?
Alex smiled and explained, "Yes. You should now understand the concept of planets. Well, the universe is made up of countless planets and the voids between them. But the universe is not isolated; beyond it lies the multiverse, and beyond even that, other worlds. I'm going to explore those other worlds."
Hiruzen was astonished. Despite already holding Alex in high regard, he realized he'd still underestimated him. Alex was beyond their comprehension, just as a cicada knows neither winter nor summer. The chasm between their knowledge was insurmountable.
Finally, Alex created an energy sphere containing a sealed fragment of his power, handing it to Hiruzen with a serious expression.
"After I leave, it's possible that 'Reincarnators' may attack Konoha. As a precaution, I'm leaving you with this failsafe. If you face an enemy too strong for you to handle, throw this energy sphere toward them and recite the incantation:
'A bag of rice, how many floors to carry it up? A bag of rice to the second floor, a bag of rice was too much, a bag of rice I washed... a bag of rice with all that mud, and a pile of dark tiles, every grain's muddy, who gave you this bag of rice, now add water!'
Got it?"
After hearing the incantation, Hiruzen hesitated, but eventually swallowed his words and nodded to show his understanding.
"I've got it, Lord Alex."
Leaving the Hokage's office, Alex prepared to depart from the Naruto world and head to another.
Under Minato's wary gaze, Alex said his goodbyes to Kushina and the others. Before leaving, he playfully teased Obito, who scratched his head and stamped his foot, then nodded with a smile to Rin and Kakashi. Opening a portal, Alex left the Naruto world behind.
Since his Lv5 teleportation couldn't precisely target specific worlds, Alex had two options: he could either return to the Marvel or DC universe or venture into a completely new one.
With a brain capable of billions of calculations per second, Alex quickly analyzed the situation and concluded that exploring a new world was the best choice. While his strength was already at a universal level, in the powerhouse-filled Marvel and DC universes, he'd still be a small player—only one among many powerful entities in any given universe, let alone across the multiverse.
Considering this, Alex decided to take a conservative approach, opting to first reach a level where he could easily overpower any universal-level threat before considering a return to Marvel or DC.
Exiting the portal, Alex found himself floating above an endless ocean. The surrounding energy was slightly more concentrated than in the Naruto world, but overall within the same range.
He glanced around, getting a sense of this world, but instead of immediately scanning it with his full powers, he decided to go with the flow and experience it naturally. He spotted an island up ahead, a peculiar one with colorful bubbles floating up from it. Intrigued, he descended to the island.
Sabaody Archipelago was composed of the world's largest trees, the Yarukiman Mangrove. The roots rose above the water, forming the archipelago. As the endpoint of the Grand Line's first half, Sabaody was a bustling commercial hub. The constant presence of Celestial Dragons added to its lively trade.
A slightly salty sea breeze swept through the Yarukiman Mangrove's branches, filling the sticky tree sap in the gaps and forming large, colorful bubbles. These bubbles floated upward, catching the sunlight and casting rainbow reflections through the air, giving the whole island a surreal, dreamlike ambiance.
Walking through the town streets, Alex marveled at the diversity of people—giants towering over ten meters tall, dwarves under one meter, and the furry Mink Tribe—all around him.
It was a scene unlike anything he'd witnessed in his previous worlds, filled with fresh sights that excited him. This, he realized, was one of the thrills of traveling through various worlds.
Seeing the unique inhabitants and this vibrant island confirmed his suspicions: he was in the world of One Piece.
He entered a nearby restaurant, eager to taste the local cuisine. With the first bite, he was surprised to find that the food contained a notable amount of energy. No wonder the strong fighters here were all big eaters—it explained why they could unleash tremendous physical strength without chakra.
Leaving the restaurant, Alex's attention was drawn to a wanted poster nearby.
It depicted a young man laughing loudly, around seventeen years old. Despite some differences from his anime appearance, the straw hat and scar under his left eye gave away his identity: Monkey D. Luffy, the man with dreams of becoming the Pirate King.
In his past life, countless teenagers had felt a surge of passion hearing Luffy declare, "I'm going to be the Pirate King!"
As Alex was about to continue exploring, he noticed a group gathered around a street vendor, trying out one of Sabaody's specialties: bubble bikes.
Alex had limited his sensory abilities to better experience his surroundings, which was why he hadn't immediately noticed them. But now, he realized that some of the people there looked almost exactly like the faces on the wanted posters—it was the Straw Hat Pirates!
Surprisingly, instead of Usopp, it was Sanji, Zoro, and the others all together, although in the original story, Sanji, Usopp, and Zoro stayed on the ship.
At that moment, Luffy was arguing with the fish-man, Hatchan. Both Luffy and Chopper wanted to buy a bubble bike, but Hatchan was against it.
When the vendor announced the price, Luffy shouted, "I want it! I'll buy it with my allowance!"
Not to be outdone, Chopper excitedly chimed in, "Me too! I want one too!"
Knowing that the vendor was a swindler, Hatchan refused the boys' request and advised, "Forget it, there's no need to buy it—just rent it."
Just then, a hand stretched out from behind Hatchan, handing the vendor 50,000 Berries. A white-haired, handsome man had appeared behind Hatchan, saying, "Give me five."
The vendor's face immediately lit up with a broad smile, worried that the man might change his mind, and quickly handed over five bubble bikes.
Hatchan immediately warned, "Sir, do you know that these bubbles will burst the moment they leave the climate of the Sabaody Archipelago, and the bubble bikes won't work?"
Hearing Hatchan's well-intentioned reminder, Alex smiled brightly at them. "Of course I know, but this way, they won't burst."
As Alex gently stroked the bubble bikes, energy seeped into the bubbles, and with the rct, he refined the molecular structure of the bubbles, making them far more durable—even in conditions outside Sabaody, they wouldn't burst.
Seeing this, the Straw Hat crew, who had been cautious of Alex's sudden approach, stared in amazement. Even without observation Haki, they could sense that these bubbles now had a faint, metallic quality.
They hadn't tested it, but something told them these bubbles could not only survive outside Sabaody but might even serve as shields!
And all these changes happened just after this man's hand brushed over the bubbles. What kind of power was this? Was it a Devil Fruit ability?
While the rest of the crew remained wary, they heard Alex say, "Want them? I can give you three."
Before they could react, two figures dashed forward, each grabbing a bubble bike and laughing.
"Sir, you're really a good person; I'll take it then, no hesitation!" Luffy exclaimed.
Chopper chimed in right after, "Exactly, no hesitation!"
Nami's forehead veins bulged, frustrated by her foolish captain and their pet.
Thump!
A huge lump appeared on the future Pirate King's head, despite his resilience, as Nami's punch landed, making Alex marvel at her ability to overpower the Straw Hats. Her authority seemed almost like a natural law.
Nami yelled, "How can you just accept gifts from a stranger so easily? He suddenly shows up and offers us gifts for no reason—he must be up to something!"
"Uh-huh..." Hearing Nami's accusation, Alex wasn't thrilled. He defended himself, "Miss, my name is Alex, and I'm a traveler exploring different worlds. Giving you three bubble bikes isn't out of ill intentions..."
Luffy and Chopper both nodded vigorously. "You hear that? He says he doesn't mean any harm!"
At that moment, Alex continued, looking at Robin with a bright smile, "I'm just really curious about this beautiful lady's Devil Fruit ability and hope she'll cooperate with me for a bit of research."
Luffy and Chopper: "Huh?"
The Straw Hats grew even more alert, realizing that "cooperating for research" was never a good sign.
Sanji, meanwhile, eyed Alex with a strange expression. Somehow, he sensed a kinship from him.
Sanji's intuition wasn't wrong. Alex was indeed fascinated by Robin's abilities; her power seemed perfect for, well, certain...indescribable purposes!
