Chapter 990: Then Comes the Storm

Chapter 990: Then Comes the Storm

"As far as I remember, some players have gotten so obsessed with the performance of Tempest Lupus Armor while they were Myths to the point that they wondered if it was possible to create a higher-tiered version of it."

As those words left his mouth, Valyr briefly glanced at the workshop's entrance, only to begin rummaging through his mind to see if he could recall the specific armor that players had made as an improvement to the Tempest Lupus Armor.

"Ah, found it." Fortunately, it did not take long for the young man to bring up the specific memory in mind, visualizing a set of armor in his mind that was mostly dark gray in color, but had dark green motifs all around over it that exuded the element of Wind.

"Storm Lycaon Armor," murmured the young man to himself, closing his eyes for a bit to bring up more of the information regarding the armor.

Though there were many attempts at upgrading Tempest Lupus Armor to a higher tier due to the freedom and flexibility that Greater Beyond offered to players, only Storm Lycaon Armor was considered to be its true successor.

Taking the abilities that Wind Wolf, Gale Wolf, and Tempest Lupus Armor had and cranking it up even further, Storm Lycaon Armor was considered to be a godly set of armor by many players, prompting some to even call the set of armor a false Artifact with how strong it was.

Then again, such a claim wasn't unfounded as Storm Lycaon Armor further extended the capabilities of Tempest Lupus Armor to extreme degrees.

If Tempest Lupus Armor could support players up to the peak of Rank 6 if they pushed the set to its very limits, then Storm Lycaon Armor could support a player up to the peak of Rank 10, the limit that separated one from becoming a Divine-level being.

Of course, one could still use Storm Lycaon Armor after becoming a Divine-level being, yet it would now begin to lose out to other sets of armor that were made for that rank due to the original materials lacking in quality.

'As far as I know, there were attempts to push Storm Lycaon Armor even further into the Divine levels,' thought the young man to himself, rummaging through his memories yet again. 'Yet, those pieces of armor were only considered half-successes at most.'

Deciding to end his train of thought regarding the Wind Wolf Armor's various versions there, Valyr soon thought about the other sets of armor similar to the Wind Wolf Armor that were catered to other classes.

'For those that had classes that revolved around melee, there was the Fire Lizard Armor that eventually became the Molten Wyvern Armor set.'

'Then for those that prioritized higher health and defense, there was the Earth Knight Armor, which could be upgraded to the Mountain Guardian Armor later down the line.'

'Magic classes had the Novice Arcane Armor, which eventually turned into True Archmage Armor,' inwardly muttered Valyr to himself.

'On the other hand, healing classes had the Aqua Priest Armor as their go-to, which could be upgraded to the Leviathan Saint Armor at some point.'

'Pretty sure Leviathan Saint Armor is considered to be at the same level as Storm Lycaon Armor, but I'm not sure.'

Going through the various armor sets for a bit more, Valyr's mind eventually began to wander about, imagining himself make use of the various armor sets he had in mind to expand the alliance he planned on creating in preparation for the final battle.

Though, before he could indulge himself in his thoughts any further, it was at that moment that Tristan returned the workshop, carrying along with him all of the materials Valyr had asked for.

"I've taken a brief look at the materials you've requested from the guild, but I'm still not sure what kind of armor you're planning to create."

Making his way to where Valyr was, Tristan soon threw a spatial bracelet towards the young man, prompting the latter to catch it.

Opening the spatial bracelet up, Valyr immediately saw all of the materials he requested from Julian being neatly organized, causing a faint smile to creep up his lips as he brought out the blueprints he'd requested.

"I suppose these things would give you an idea of what I plan on making," Valyr said, tossing the blueprints in Tristan's direction.

Catching the blueprints the young man tossed to him, Tristan began to look through them one by one, eventually putting two and two together in his mind as he looked back at Valyr with realization. "Wind Wolf Armor?"

"Wind Wolf Armor that I'll probably be upgrading to Gale Wolf Armor, to be more exact," said Valyr in response. "We probably wouldn't have enough time to improve it to Tempest Lupus Armor, after all."

"This is..." Returning the blueprints back to Valyr, Tristan watched as Valyr learned all of the blueprints he'd been given, causing his eyes to glisten as he asked the young man a question not long after. "Can I learn these blueprints?"

"Go ahead." Valyr chuckled, tossing the blueprints back to Tristan as he began chucking some of the materials he requested into the furnace. "It's part of the reason why I requested the blueprints in the first place."

"Plus, if I forget to upgrade the Gale Wolf Armor to Tempest Lupus Armor after all is said and done, then you could do it in my stead," continued the young man, flashing a faint smile at

Tristan.

Feeling his heart warm up in response to Valyr's words, Tristan began to go through the blueprints he'd been given as Valyr activated all of his skills once more, pushing himself to his limits when it came to his forging abilities.

Whoosh!

Taking out the materials he'd chucked into the furnace, Valyr decided to forge the chestplate first, making use of the multiple translucent arms he had to hammer the materials into shape. With [Zen: First Lotus Step] activated, as well as [Intent of Forging] enhanced through the Truth Weaver Scripture, the young man was able to go through the various steps of the forging process with ease, the frame of a chestplate appearing on the anvil not even a few hours later.

Overlaying the chestplate with the Wind Wolf Fur he'd initially asked Julian for, Valyr then had both [Hunter's Tracking Eyes] and [Vision of the First Blacksmith] activated, using the translucent arms he had on the side to slowly push the chestplate to perfection.

Ding!

Eventually, a chestplate that looked more like a shirt made out of faintly green fur came into view, giving off an aura filled with the element of Wind to the point that Tristan even stopped looking at the blueprints for a bit to admire it.

"[Superior Analysis]."

Making use of his identification skill to check how strong the armor had become with the help

of his skills, Valyr eventually nodded in satisfaction as he moved the screen to the side,

chucking in more materials into the furnace after that.

"Time to move onto the next piece."
