MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1259 Enacting the Plan

Chapter 1259  Enacting the Plan

As those words left his mouth, the gears in Valyr's mind continued to turn in an attempt to recall every bit of detail he could remember about the idea he was going to use for the plan.

Considering the fact that he mostly dabbled in the world of blacksmithing in his past life, it went without saying that the idea he was planning to use did not originally come from him.

Instead, the idea he was planning to use actually came from a fellow member of the guild he was a part of.

Though Valyr did have a lot of ideas in mind to earn a lot of money through the world of blacksmithing, most of them needed a lot of time and effort to become profitable. After all, one first needed to gain experience in the craft before getting somewhere.

On the other hand, the current idea he had was far simpler in comparison, needing only a clean water source and a couple of empty vials before one could start earning a considerable chunk of money.

The reason as to why this idea came to be was due to the fellow member Valyr knew being an ambitious alchemist.

To be more specific, he was ambitious in the fact that he wanted to push the art of alchemy to its utmost limits, wondering if it was possible to use alchemy in what would be considered other fields.

Because of that, the person who originally came up with Valyr's current idea dabbled in almost every field that existed, learning from the masters of that specific craft before trying to replace even a small portion of the process with alchemical methods.

Although that person was only able to achieve a small level of success by the time the average level amongst players was around the peak of Rank 5, by the time most players were Myths, the man was able to make a massive breakthrough, instantly becoming sought after by many people overnight because of it.

Amongst all of the various breakthroughs he had made in having alchemical methods be used in other fields, the idea Valyr was planning to use was considered one of the most basic discoveries among them.

After all, what the person did to the concoction process was just simplify its ingredients and methods as much as possible, allowing even someone who did not dabble in alchemy to concoct what was considered by many to be a rare elixir.

Yet, that simple discovery was more than enough for that person to rake in more than enough money for him to buy a large house within a matter of months.

Then again, with how simple it was, it did not take long for others to crack the code and replicate the process themselves, effectively ending his opportunity to earn lots of money with the least amount of time and effort.

'I'm pretty sure he discovered it around the second year since Greater Beyond went public,' thought Valyr to himself as he went over the concoction process in his mind.

'Even at that time, it took at least three months on Earth for the recipe and the process to become public.'

'As long as I keep the important steps from Thomas a secret for now, it wouldn't be impossible for the two of us to consistently earn a lot of money.' Valyr slightly grinned at the thought.

Closing his eyes for a bit in order to consolidate his train of thought, the young man eventually looked back at Thomas, who was staring back at him in deafening silence. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Getting the feeling that the man's current expression had something to do with the words he uttered out, Valyr mulled over his thoughts for a bit before asking him, "You wondering how I got my hands on something like that?"

"As if that wasn't already obvious." Thomas nodded, his expression serious. "Think about it for a bit. It's only the second day since Greater Beyond was released."

"Factor in the time difference and over a week and a half has already passed here," said Valyr in response. "A week and a half is more than enough time for many things to happen."

"Of course, with me only being ahead of you by a few hours, the amount of time I have to explore Greater Beyond only amounts to a couple of days," he continued.

"…Then again, considering how we reached Level 10 in just a matter of a day, is it really that hard to believe that I discovered a recipe during the couple of days I was waiting for you to log in?"

"Not really." Thomas shook his head in response. "However…"

"Did you forget that you roped me into playing Greater Beyond with you by using what you just said as your reason?"

"…" Hearing those words, it was as if a series of alarms went off in Valyr's mind, warning him that he should choose his next words wisely.

'Fucking shit…' Inwardly cursing out various profanities in his mind as he thought about his next response, the young man soon looked back at Thomas with a slight smile, his tone still confident.

"Does that mean you want to skip out on earning easy money, then?" asked Valyr back, causing Thomas to frown the moment he heard those words. "I don't mind if you do."

"Now, hold on just a second," said the man the moment Valyr was done talking. "I just wanted to know where you got your plan from. I didn't say I'm not taking part in it."

"I don't know about that, man…" Valyr slightly shrugged. "To me, those questions of yours makes it sound like you're not confident that the plan I have is going to work."

"How in the…" Feeling a bit of a headache from trying to understand the young man's mental gymnastics, Thomas eventually let out a low sigh as he conceded. "Alright, alright."

"I won't ask about where you got that plan anymore. Happy?"

"Very," replied Valyr with a grin, his attitude undergoing a 180-degree shift.

"Now then, shall we begin?"

Although Thomas was still incredibly curious as to where Valyr got his moneymaking idea from, the man decided to remain silent for now as he followed the latter into the Verdant Woodlands.

With Valyr taking the lead, he soon began to explain the plan of concocting beauty elixirs for cheap in greater detail with Thomas, asking him beforehand to swear that he wouldn't divulge the information he'd get from Valyr with others.

From the physical characteristics of Verdant Bluegrass, to the various locations where Verdant Treeslugs could be found within the Verdant Woodlands' outer region, Valyr did not omit even a single bit of information from Thomas, confident in the oath that they both swore.

Because of the young man's openness to share such information, a bit of the skepticism Thomas felt towards the entire thing gradually disappeared, with eagerness taking its place as the two began to look for the two items needed for their plan to work.

Unsurprisingly, with his PER being far beyond what a Level 10 player could possibly achieve, it was no surprise that Valyr was the one who found the two items among them.

Then again, as more and more time passed, Thomas also began to locate one of the two items every once in a while, eventually reaching a point where he'd be the one finding a fifth of the items they found in total.

Making sure to stay away from the beasts and monsters that roamed the Verdant Woodlands, the two of them ended up spending roughly half a day looking for Verdant Bluegrass and Verdant Treeslugs within the outer region.

Fortunately, the time they spent was more than fruitful, with the final amount of the two items they ended up amassing being more than enough for them to concoct multiple batches of the beauty elixir Valyr mentioned at the beginning of their trip.

"I suppose we could rest here for the meantime." Feeling that they've obtained enough materials for now, the two of them soon arrived at a small lake within the forest, allowing them to proceed onto the next step of the plan.

"Let's start concocting some beauty elixirs, shall we?" Taking out the large bowl he bought from the kingdom out of his spatial bracelet, Valyr went ahead and scoop up a bit of water from the pond before placing it on the ground, giving the sediments in the water some time to reach the bottom of the bowl.

After that, he took out a couple of empty vials he bought from his spatial bracelet, filling them up with the water from the bowl soon after.

Glug… glug… glug…

Faintly nodding at Thomas to see if he was still following along, he then proceeded to crush the Verdant Bluegrass with his hands, using all of his strength while doing so to squeeze out as much juice from them as possible.

Then, once the juice from the Verdant Bluegrass mixed with the water inside the vials, he then shoved a Verdant Treeslug each into the vials before putting on the stopper, only to vigorously shake the vials not long after that.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

Although the water within the vials was a murky brown color at first, the color gradually began to lighten the more Valyr shook it, causing it to slowly give it off an ethereal feeling of sorts.

With that, by the time he felt like he'd shaken the vials for long enough, he then showed the vials to Thomas, who immediately took note that the murky brown from before was now replaced with a cool lavender color.

"And that's two beauty elixirs done right there."
