Chapter 1058: A Glimpse at Power

Normally, if one weaker were to hear that over 300 people had completed the feat they just did before them, they would fear for their lives. After all, those that came before them had more time to reach higher levels of strength with the feat.

However, rather than fear the people that had obtained a second subclass before him, the young man could not help but become excited by the thought.

Of course, there were many reasons as to why he thought this way. For one, there was no reason for him to antagonize any of them.

Another one was the fact that he did not know any of their identities at all, nor did any of them know his. If anything, the only clue he could use to start searching for those with second subclasses like him would be the notification the system gave him.

Other than that, he'd be forced to go on a wild goose chase just to look for them.

Though, if one were to ask him why he was excited at the fact that there were over 300 people that obtained second subclasses before him...

Then it was the fact that he could rope them into the organization he was going to create in the future.

'Imagine if every member in the organization were to have a second subclass before the final battle,' Valyr inwardly chuckled at the thought. 'Wouldn't we be able to steamroll the opposition that way?'

Continuing to look at the situation from an optimistic perspective, the young man eventually set his thoughts regarding the matter aside, shifting his attention towards the title he gained all of a sudden.

Ding!

Commanding the system to bring up the new title's description, Valyr expected the title to be more or less similar to all of the other titles he'd gained so far, which was the fact that the title would boost his stats.

Though the title he gained did indeed boost his stats to a certain degree, the way it went about doing so was different from what the young man was expecting.

[Expanding Possibilities - 4th Phase (Veldanyr)] (Title)

Rarity: Epic+

Most of the description has been omitted.

This title is given to those who have obtained a second subclass, a feat considered by many to be difficult due to the greatly limited opportunities of obtaining one, especially at the lower ranks.

By obtaining this title at the 4th Phase, that means you are part of the first thousand people within your planet to obtain a second subclass.

Specifically, you are the 336th person within your planet to obtain a second subclass.

Effects:

> Increases the stat gain efficacy of your second subclass to 85%

"... Huh." Taking a bit of time to process what he'd just read, Valyr eventually nodded in understanding, briefly returning his senses back to reality to see what the two were doing. Seeing that both Marcus and Mystia were just waiting for him to finish going through the changes brought by the second subclass, the young man soon returned his attention back to the notification screen, the contents of the title still vivid in his mind.

'Since the 4th Phase version of the title increases the stat gain of the second subclass to 85% of what the first subclass would normally have, then it would be safe to assume that the three phases that came before it increases that effectiveness by the same increment.'

As Valyr briefly pondered over this thought, he swiftly came to the conclusion that if his speculation was true, then there was at least one being in Veldanyr that had no stat gain penalty on their second subclass whatsoever.

'Then again, that's going by what feels natural. Who's to say the 1st Phase version of the title can't be obtained by more than one person?' thought Valyr to himself, wryly smiling as he decided to take a look at the stats he'd gained from the subclass.

'I'll acquaint myself with the skills from the subclass through Mystia anyway.' With that in mind, he scrolled through the notifications on the screen in his mind, eventually finding the ones he was looking for.

Ding!

[Due to the user obtaining their second subclass at the peak of Rank 4, the effects of the subclass shall be applied retroactively.]

[You have gained 100 VIT, 100 INT, 115 WIS, and 150 PER.]

'Considering that my second subclass is currently at Common grade, that's a lot of stats,' said Valyr to himself, nodding in satisfaction as he felt like he'd gone through everything related to the second subclass.

"System, show me my status screen." Returning his senses back to reality, the young man faintly smiled went ahead and brought up his stats, recalling that the last time he looked at it was when he'd just ascended to Rank 4.

Now that he was at the peak of Rank 4 and had gone through a lot of things since then, Valyr was somewhat curious as to how strong he was at the moment.

Though, once he laid his eyes upon the screen that appeared before him, the young man instantly felt his heart jump up to his throat.

Of course, it wasn't because he was disappointed with how little his strength had improved

since then.

But in fact, it was the exact opposite.

Ding!
