The reason he didn’t score perfect marks in the previous stage was not because he lacked strength, but because he didn’t know enough about wolves.

“I don’t mind. But my head craftsman isn’t very happy.” The King laughed heartily.

The head craftsman was the supreme leader of the Gnome Clan. He too commanded a Battle Puppet, which emitted a dark golden glow, indicating that it was of superior quality.

“Kid, you’re strong and rather decent. You didn’t harm my clan. At least you allowed us to copy the information from the chip. Killing the clone of the Ancient God was your achievement, which has nothing to do with us. In a strict sense, you have even helped us get rid of a potential threat.” The head craftsman stated in his shrill voice.

“You talk too much. Since you’re not holding grudges, why do you need to say all that?” The Queen remarked coldly.

“You’re indeed as hot-tempered as ever. I’m just curious how he knows so much about our clan’s affairs. Don’t tell me you taught him everything. You couldn’t have deceived so many clan members.” The head craftsman asked curiously.

The Queen snorted and said, “Why hide it? There’s no need. Tell him.”

Li Yao nodded and replied, “I read it in a book. You can find everything in books.”

Everyone appeared dissatisfied with this answer but seeing the certainty on Li Yao’s face, they didn’t ask any further.

“That’s enough from all of you. Please don’t delay the trial.” Although Eileen was just a humble beginner’s guide, she showed no fear.

Everyone nodded at her and then stepped back.

“Archangel, how about you be the witness as we make a bet?” The King proposed suddenly.

The Chieftain frowned and asked, “What do you want to bet on?”

“It’s simple. We have two ongoing disputes, right? We have been at a stalemate. Why don’t we use this young man’s trial as a bet? Whoever wins will get the territory of the Fire Hoof Tribe.” The King proposed.

“And how do we bet? Guess whether or not he can pass the first trial?” The Chieftain frowned.

“You must be joking. With the blessing of the Beast God, how could he possibly fail the second trial? What I’m suggesting is that we set nine points as the limit. We bet that he won’t score nine points or more.” The King explained.

The Chieftain turned to look at the Queen, who said to Li Yao, “If you can’t score nine points or higher, don’t expect to receive future inheritances.”

Li Yao felt like vomiting blood. ‘Damn it! Why must their bet involve me? Who knows what kind of trial I’ll get? If it’s something I’m not familiar with, and I fail to score nine points, I’ll be devastated.’

Seeing Li Yao’s expression, the Chieftain said, “Don’t feel pressured by our bet. It has nothing to do with you. All you need to do is focus on your trial. Of course, if you help us win, there will be benefits for you. That’s my promise. You won’t be disappointed.”

Upon hearing the Chief’s words, Li Yao instantly felt as if the clouds had parted and the sun had come out. He quickly replied, “I will give it my all.”

“So, you’ve agreed to the bet?” The King asked with a smile.

“You guys, sigh. But perhaps it’s better this way, to resolve conflicts peacefully.” The head Archangel said helplessly, always the pacifist.

“Very well. It has been a long time since a genius like you came along who could score nine points in the first attempt at the second stage. You have received the blessing of the Beast God, but your spiritual power might not be as strong. It seems like we’ve got this bet in the bag.” As Li Yao was teleported to the Trial Ground, the King looked at him and started laughing out loud…
