Chapter 188 Returning To Human Continent
'I can't wait to see what kind of reward I will receive from the third and last Test of Might Quest.' Alex thought, walking through the clean streets of the gladiator city.
Alex was back in the game after taking a well-needed sleep and spending time with his family to clear his mind from all the training and everyday struggle of life and death.
'I did decide to go to the area of Elderwood Grove at the edge of swap forest as it is filled with Rank third and fourth Rank and creatures.'
'But now that I have the intermediate mystery of phantom walk, hunting the swamp creatures would be a waste of my speed and time.'
Alex had first decided to go to the swap forest to complete his promotion quest because that was the only location that had monsters he could handle with his capabilities.
The downside to hunting in the swap was also the monster, as they all had high defense and higher health than the same Rank creature, but their agility was significantly lower, making them easier to hunt.
Alex only had forty-eight hours once he found his first target, and he needed to be efficient with every minute if he wanted to achieve the best results to get the best rewards.
'I can go to the Stratos Mountain Range and hunt those speedy bastards, but hunting twenty of their elite hunters would be a pain, but it sure would be quick with their comparatively low health.'
'It's decided I will go and hunt the Centaurs.' Alex decided after considering all his options.
Alex checked the map of the Stratos mountain range and studied the best places to make a proper plan as he navigated his way to the city's main gate.
Alex stopped at Alchemy shop to refill his supplies before navigating his way to the city's main gate, and there he was greeted by a familiar individual.
"Aeon, So what did you decide?" A towering man said as he walked toward Alex.
"Hurobak, As I told you before, I have no plan to become a Thunder Knight Champion and devote myself to Order, and if the Order doesn't like my decision, then I am happy to leave," Alex replied, not slowing his waking speed.
"Like Hell, The Order will let go of a monster like you," Hurobak said, walking beside Alex.
After the banquet, Alex met with Hurobak, and there he was told about the Chosen's and the Champion and their role in the Order.
The Champions in the Order were individuals with the most remarkable talent, and their role was to be the blade of the order, while the Chosen were the individuals selected to be trained to become champions.
Lady Telyssa recommended Alex to be selected as a Chosen, and before his performance in the death game, his chances were abysmal, but after the game, he was on the priority list of the Order.
Alex had no plan to devote his time to becoming an Order Champion, and that's what he told Hurobak in his first meeting and the same thing to Lady Telyssa when she came with the proposal.
In the last twenty-two days, Alex had met Lady Telyssa three times, and each time she made different proposals offering lucrative benefits, but he declined her request every time.
Alex couldn't leave the Order as he pleased because he had taken a Law Oath to stay loyal to order, and the order required service of a decade before he could retire.
Alex took the oath knowing about these rules, which was not troubling because other than earning mandatory merit points, he was not required to do anything on normal days.
Alex could, however, leave his faction at any time he wanted, but then he wouldn't be able to join any other faction for a year, and that would mean he would need to do missions to earn the required merit points, which he was not doing right now, thanks to his joined faction.
"If you have something important to say, then do it because I am leaving Gladiator Island for the next few months," Alex said, stopping just outside the city.
"I came to meet you to tell you that I am leaving the Island to go back to the Beast Continent and start preparing for the Fifth Rank, and after my Rank promotion, I will challenge you to a duel, so be prepared," Hurobak said in his friendly tone before turning around and leaving the area.
'He won't be bothering me again for some time.' Alex thought, leaving the city.
Alex exited the city and started sprinting toward the horizon, and after reaching a short distance from the city, he took out a scroll.
'Let's get rid of these clowns.' Alex thought as he injected mana into the scroll.
A magic circle appeared on the scroll that started shining, and after a few seconds, the scroll slowly started crumbling into dust.
Alex dropped the crumbling scroll to the floor and took another scroll out which he injected with mana, and instantly a grayish magic circle appeared on it.
After a few seconds, the magic circle vanished, and the space around Alex covered him like a blanket, making him disappear from his place and teleporting him to his selected location.
After Alex got teleported, six cloaked figures appeared out of thin air a short distance from his location and quickly walked toward where he was standing.
"He used a Space distortion Scroll, so it's impossible to find the location he got teleported to." A female said, looking at the twisted mirror-like space before her.
"Omori, Do you think he knew about our presence, or did he just use such an expensive scroll as a precaution?" A person asked.
"It doesn't matter." The man standing closest to the distorted space had his face uncovered, said in a cold tone.
"He can't teleport outside the Gladiator Island, and as he plans to leave it, he could have teleported to only two places."
"You five go to the Northern seaport and search all the ships and inform me if you locate him, and I will visit the underground city of Solnas and check if he is using their teleportation service," The man said as he took out a scroll.
The group followed their orders, and within a few seconds, the whole group teleported to their designated location to start their search for Alex, who was standing in a remote corner of the island.

'Four Hours Later.'
'Those guys would be losing their minds searching for me.' Alex thought, enjoying the view of lush green land.
Alex was back on the human continent, currently in the Gold Kingdom at his decided location of the Stratos Mountain Range, and he had just completed the Monster scouting.
'I will go from the hardest to the least challenging, so let's make a list of the settlement and wandering bosses according to their difficulty and a plan to raid them as quickly as possible.' Alex thought and quickly opened multiple system screens and started to work on a plan.
The Centaurs were creatures that lived alone like predators and also in small groups creating settlements, and even though their main fort was their agility, their physical strength was not far behind.
This was the reason that even with low defense and health, the centaurs were one of the hardest creatures to hunt on the same Rank, and with each one of them having high intelligence and naturally honed skills for hunting, fighting them was both a physical and mental challenge.
'The three big settlements in the inner area of the forest would be most challenging to raid as each has two fourth Rank creatures, with one of them being the Boss monster.'
'All three settlements have a similar number of third Rank creatures and Named monsters, so picking any of the three would be fine.'
'Let's make a plan and start the hunt.' Alex thought, looking at multiple system windows.
Alex spent the next hour planning the route according to the difficulty list, and with one final check, he sprinted toward the lush green forest in the distance.
After a few minutes of sprinting, Alex reached his first target, a settlement surrounded by giant trees with a heavy crown, and the whole area was covered in white haze and had very little sunlight making it cloudy and dark.
'My Eyes of the Ancient are really useful, and with my third Rank promotion, I should be almost free from its side effects.' Alex thought with his eyes turning to pitch dark like two black holes.
The Eyes of the Ancient was an ability Alex gained from his elemental physique, and other than giving him a better ability of appraisal, it allowed him to see through the illusion, lies, dark, and other unique situations.
Alex rarely needed to use his unique eyes, but whenever he did, it always gave him a headache, so he avoided using them if possible.
The unique eyes showed Alex the world in black and white, simplifying everything and allowing him to gain information much faster than normal, which placed a lot of pressure on his mind and always resulted in him having a headache.
