Master's Untamed Wife

Chapter 1391 A Diary

Chapter 1391  A Diary

Raelle ran towards the chopper with Shui Xian and got in with ease. The pilot greeted her enthusiastically and she responded calmly while not forgetting to introduce Shui Xian to the pilot too. "It'll be faster to take the chopper to the estate or it'll take hours on the road from the airport," told Raelle to Shui Xian as she helped him with the seatbelt. As they flew in the air, Shui Xian looked at the city, which seemed to be in a different world. After all, he left behind a hot summer but here, it felt like they were in spring. Everything was so beautiful and green that it instantly put him in a good mood.

They flew for over half an hour before Raelle pointed towards the place where she grew up which she called an estate but once Shui Xian noticed the architecture and area of this estate, he had to say that it was more like a castle. As the chopper landed on the helipad, they alighted from it and Shui Xian was able to see rows of servants in their crisp uniforms standing at attention.

The leading butler took the lead in greeting them with everyone else following. The butler had a kind and gentle smile when he looked at Raelle. "Missy is finally back home. We missed you." Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"Uncle Eric, how are you doing?" inquired Raelle.

The butler seemed a little surprised and unused to Raelle's initiative to ask such trivial questions but he was old and had been through a lot in life. So, he composed himself calmly and answered all her questions patiently as he led her towards the main residence.

Shui Xian looked at the well-trimmed green lawn, flower fields, and tall trees that enhanced the natural beauty of this place. He always knew that his wife was a princess but only now did this fact really sink in because this princess truly grew up in a castle too. It was a genuine castle with a long history and enviable architecture.

Despite seeing the grand scene, Shui Xian accepted everything calmly as he felt that his wife deserved this treatment. He got another perspective of how Mu Chenyan spoiled Raelle. The only reason Raelle didn't turn into a brat must be her lack of desire. Otherwise, he believed that she might have turned into the most unreasonable princess around.

"I have cleaned up your room, would you like to freshen up and rest first or should I ask someone to set the table for breakfast?"

Raelle looked towards Shui Xian who shrugged, "You can choose, sweetheart. I don't mind."

Raelle then said, "Then let me take a shower first. Then we'll eat something before resting for a while."

"Alright."

Raelle took the lead to direct Shui Xian toward her room. Seeing how none of the servants dared to follow her but even kept a distance from her, Shui Xian raised his brows. Hmm... It seems it wasn't just the help at his house but Raelle really didn't like getting too close to the house help. Even if she was kind to them and didn't throw her weight around, she still preferred to keep her distance.

Raelle opened the tall doors of the room and invited Shui Xian in. "Come inside. This is my bedroom. I lived here growing up."

Shui Xian was very curious about this place for a long time, especially in Raelle's childhood bedroom. But looking at it now, he didn't know if he should say that he was disappointed or say that he had expected it. It was difficult to see a trace of a little girl or even a teenage girl living in this room.

It was just a normal bedroom like Raelle's or any other personal space. It was filled with books with tall bookshelves lining one entire wall. There was a huge bed in the middle of the room with a sheer canopy with butterflies embroidered on the corners. Raelle walked into the cloakroom and nodded in satisfaction. "I knew someone would add new clothes for you here too. Come and see what you want to change into. Our luggage will take some time to arrive."

"Wife, did you have a habit of writing a diary when you were younger? Like, I know you like to someone make notes of your thoughts on your laptop. What about when you were younger? Did you write it in a diary by hand or on the computer?"

Raelle raised her brows at him, "Why are you suddenly asking this question?"

"I can't learn anything about the young Raelle from this bedroom," he replied helplessly. "So, I just thought maybe if you have a diary then I can read the young Raelle's thoughts to understand her."

Raelle didn't reply as she went to take out her clothes and said, "I'm going to take a shower."

Shui Xian narrowed his eyes at her receding back as it told him that she just avoided answering his question. What did it mean? It meant she did have a diary of a sort but did not want him to read it. Why? What could be hidden in that diary?

"Baby, are you embarrassed to let me see your diary?" he called out from behind.

"You're thinking too much," was Raelle's response as she closed the door of the bathroom leaving Shui Xian smiling by himself in this huge bedroom.

Shui Xian walked towards the bed as he noticed a photo frame on the bedside table. He stepped close to look at it. The picture in the photo frame had a young girl in a high ponytail standing beside Mu Chenyan as they stood behind Grandfather Xiang. He was actually a little surprised that someone like Raelle would keep a family photo like this on her bedside table. He smiled softly as he rubbed his hand on Raelle's face who was clearly unwilling to take this photo but was forced to do so. Of course, the one who forced her must be Mu Chenyan.
