Chapter 45: The Air Was Filled With Smoke And Blood, 1193 CE

[Kingo’s POV]

It was utterly nonsense. How come the gap between other eternals can be this wide? Me and Druig were desperately trying to save as many civilians as possible. There was an escape tunnel, and we’re using it.

The city is quickly overrun by Pluto’s constructs. It was a nightmare, my powers basically did nothing to the constructs, they didn’t feel any pain or emotions whatsoever, and I needed to ultimately decimate it in order to ‘kill’ it completely.

Everytime their limbs are torn off, it will regenerate, even if I hit their heads.

Thankfully though, it seemed Pluto still had the consciousness to not kill the innocents. When at first I thought the constructs were about to kill an innocent, it suddenly stopped, and ran away from the civilian.

The buildings and the soldiers however, is another story.

The air was filled with smoke and blood. Bodies of the soldiers were scattered everywhere. Some limbless, some headless, others were torn into pieces. I could even see a soldier that had half his body torn off and still alive, dying in the middle of the street. The buildings were trampled and torn apart by the constructs, they didn’t care whose house they trampled, they only wanted destruction.

It seems like the others failed to stop Pluto. I could now see traces of Makkaris cosmic energy around the city, she was running around the city, saving as many civilians as possible.

But then, I saw him. Pluto was walking slowly through the main street, heading towards the palace.

“Pluto!” I shouted as I ran towards him, I need to try this, this is utterly mad. “Stop what you’re doing man, you’re destroying people’s lives!”

Pluto turned his head to me, and he spoke. “Do not blame me for this, blame the others, blame that cunt who was hiding cowardly in his palace.”

I was confused. “W-What did the others do?”

“I tried. I tried to talk to them. But they wouldn’t listen. They only care about the damn rules!”

“The rules are there for a reason!”

Pluto sighed. “Stop Kingo. I will face the consequences alone. It’s already too late to convince me.”

It seems he can’t be convinced…

“O-Okay man… just… be careful…”

He just nodded softly. And continued to walk towards the palace.

[3rd POV]

As Pluto continued to advance towards the castle, Paris was frantically trying to save himself. He locked the palace shut, bringing Helen with him as a hostage.

“You see what you’ve done?!” shouted Helen, cursing Paris. “You think you could–”

Before Helen could say anything, Paris desperately slapped her face. It was so hard that Helen’s cheeks turned red in an instant.

“Shut up woman!” shouted Paris angrily. He looked at the guards beside the woman. “Watch her, she’ll be our lifeline once that thing comes for us. I am assuming he is looking for her.”

“But my prince–”

“Do as I say!” roared Paris.

All of them then continued to delve deep into the palace, hiding from the imminent monster that is trying to reach them.

The walls have been breached. The majestic gate of the city of Troy was opened. And the city was defenceless, as the soldiers have all been killed by the constructs.

Agamemnon, who were just exiting the ship as the force have come to passed, noticed that this is a chance, for wealth, for obtaining slaves, for glory.

“Men!” he shouted to the soldiers of Mycenae. “This is our chance! Today, we would be the ones who took down Troy! Today, we will be the Victor! Our god has paved our path, and now, we shall take our spoils and glory!”

Agamemnon’s men rallied in front of his voice. They were filled with excitement and momentum, they could already feel their cocks deep into the Trojan women, they could already see the riches they would bring home.

“Men! Charge!” shouted Agamemnon, charging towards the opened gate. They entered the place, and they started to pillage, looting everything they could find.

Not that they could find anything below those ruined buildings.

But there were women and children. Lust filled the men of Agamemnon, and they tainted the grounds of Troy with their filth.

Soon, the other soldiers started to pick up too. All of the Greek soldiers charge towards the inner city of Troy, trying to get something from the chaos that Pluto had brought.

Druig was only here for one thing. Saving the innocents from the wrath of Pluto. They couldn’t do anything anymore. The other ten eternals combined couldn’t stop him and his golden legion, so they could only save the humans from his rampage.

While Pluto ordered his constructs to not hurt the innocents, destroyed and burning buildings could be a problem. Druig had saved so many lives from getting crushed by fallen buildings, from getting burned by burned houses.

But now, another problem arises. The greeks outside had started to come in, pillaging and raping as they pleased.

Druig wasn’t pleased at all. Deep down, he cared, but the rule prevented him from doing anything.

In the corner of the street, he saw a little girl was being dragged to a corner. The little girl was screaming and crying, trying to break free, to no avail. The man that was dragging her was filled with lust, Druig knew what was about to happen, and he tried to prevent it.

His eyes glowed golden, but then, someone touched his shoulder. He turned around, it was Ajak and Makkari.

“Don't,” said Ajak calmly. “We don’t interfere.”

“What?!” Demanded Druig. “You want me to turn a blind eye?!”

“Druig. We can’t interfere with human affairs.” repeated Ajak.

“I have the power to help her! Why shouldn’t I!?” Druig retaliated. “No, Ajak. just this time, no.”

“Druig.” Ajak called his name again, but he ignored it.

His eyes glowed golden, and the man released the girl, making the girl run away from the man, crying, trying to save her own life.

It is done. The girl had run away, and Druig released his control. He turned around, and walked forward, not caring about the look of Ajak.

“Makkari, let’s go, there’s still some humans on the other side of the city.” said Druig coldy.

Makkari just smiled, and she dashed towards the other side of the city, bringing Druig with her, and leaving Ajak alone.
