CHAPTER 33

~Xander' POV~

I sat down like every normal guy in the club, observing the happenings going when suddenly, my eyes caught sight of two guys towards the far end of the bar.

The first guy gave the bartender a substance and handed some cash with it. After which he left.

Ignoring them, I brought my gaze back to the object of my affection and found out the guy pestering her was gone. She did not need my help in sending him away and I was more than glad about it.

All of a sudden, someone pulled me, distracting me from the only beauty my heart yearned for.

It was Jay, here again with another one of his schemes. He was pointing me in the direction of a lady but my mind had already set it's eyes on someone else and every other lady at that moment looked insignificant to me.

Rather than engaging in his games, I decided to show him who caught my eyes but Sky beat me to it and spoke first.

"Who said anything about cold feet when he's got his eyes set on someone else."

I knew he had been silently observing things like I was, but unlike myself where my eyes roamed everywhere, Sky's were locked on me and wherever my eyes went.

Naughty bastard!

I bet that was when he saw how I looked at Jade with interest and longing. There was no mistaking it. I had completely fallen for this beautiful damsel.

I knew it and he knew it as well. My inner beast knew it as well. She was the one.

"Her," I replied Jay and pulled him closer to myself then propped his head forward, directing his gaze to where Jade sat. "She took my..."

But rather than saying those words, I paused, leaving Sky and Jay confused. My words seemed so heavy in my mouth and unable to come out as I stared at the sight in front of me.

Immediately the smile on my face dropped and turned into a deep angry frown.

It was that scumbag who had given a tip to the bartender that was now sitting close to Jade and surprisingly, she was making small talk with him. That had only intensified my anger.

"Hey Xander, why did you turn sour all of a sudden?" Jay asked but I ignored him. He did not matter now. No, that was not what mattered. No one mattered but my tigress and the imbecile speaking to her now.

When I did not answer and the look in my eyes only darkened, Jay tried to catch what was wrong and returned his gaze back to what I was trying to show him earlier.

His eyes landed on Jade and the guy sitting close to her.

"Ohh!"

That was the only words that fell off Jay's mouth before I loosened my grip on him and balled my hand into a fist.

I watched as she sipped her drink for the third time since I returned my gaze back to hers.

At first, I did not want to panic as she could be drinking what her friend had ordered for both of them but when I saw the bartender leave and was putting a substance inside a drink similar to hers and was heading in her direction, I stood up.

There was no way in hell was I going to sit down and watch this idiot drug her and have his way with her.

Then again, wasn't she supposed to be careful, knowing full well what kind of a place this was?

Sigh!

As I got up, Sky and Jay followed immediately.

They did not need a second telling that things were about to get rough and tough in there.

We had all come for excitement, but this wasn't the type we had hoped for but given the situation and knowing full well I got my eyes set on her, my friends willfully joined me.

Without looking at Sky, I spoke, "Find her friend, the girl by the counter before."

"Okay." He did not argue and did as he was told, leaving Jay and I to go at it.

This was the very girl who had kneed me at a tight corner that other day and now, she was here acting all sweet like she knew the guy.

Perhaps she knew the guy but I did not care right now. Why would he resort to such a cheap trick to fuck a girl when there are many ready to open their legs for him?

Quinn, just how does your brain work?

Soon I got to their booth and stood in front of the table, blocking the view of the bartender. He looked up, ready to talk to me but I was in no mood to hear what he had to say as the next instant, I turned my eyes to the side and looked at the cup containing the dangerous content.

Without uttering a word, I waved my right hand to the side and smashed the cup off the train in the bartender's hand and watched as the glass broke with its content being spilt on the cold tiled floor.
