Chapter 458 Huh! Bragging ?
The two adventurers had finally reached the bustling sixth floor of the mall, an oasis of entertainment and leisure. Amidst the vibrant hubbub, they discovered an array of attractions, including two sprawling cinemas and a cavernous indoor playground. The scent of popcorn and the joyous laughter of children filled the air.
As they ventured further into this floor, their curious eyes landed on the numerous travel agencies that had set up shop there. The promise of exciting journeys and new horizons beckoned. It was a realm of possibilities.
With her eyes gleaming, Li Changle turned to her companion, Liu Yong, and inquired, "Brother Yong, what do you think about visiting a youth-oriented travel agency?"
Liu Yong's brows furrowed for a moment as he contemplated the options. He replied with enthusiasm, "Indeed, Li Changle. This travel agency appears to be quite substantial, boasting impressive scale and a seemingly stellar reputation."
Guided by curiosity and the allure of exploration, they soon found themselves standing before the entrance of a youth-focused travel agency. With intertwined fingers, they entered.
Inside, a well-dressed woman in her thirties, the embodiment of professionalism, greeted Liu Yong and Li Changle with unwavering warmth. "Greetings to both of you! May I assist you in planning your next adventure, be it domestic or international?"
With practiced finesse, she began detailing the diverse travel packages they offered: from domestic tourist hotspots to foreign exotic destinations. The duo listened intently, absorbing every word.
Liu Yong leaned in slightly and disclosed their intentions, "Our hearts are set on Tibet."
The woman nodded sagely, her voice carrying an air of authority. "Ah, Tibet! A splendid choice, especially during this season when it is at its most enchanting. We have a range of options, each offering unique experiences. Prices range from 5800 to 7800."
She continued her pitch, explaining the intricacies of each package. Liu Yong intervened, "We won't be joining a group tour, just the two of us. Is that possible?"
A hint of hesitation flickered across Zhao Yanhong's face before responding, "Well, it can be arranged, but please note that such personalized services come at a higher cost. We typically cater to a more discerning clientele."
Inwardly, Liu Yong pondered the concept of 'high-end.' Was it simply a matter of wealth, or did it encompass something more elusive? Yet, he chose not to reveal his thoughts, maintaining his composure.
With determination, Liu Yong stated, "We are willing to pay the premium. Our journey must encompass the Bu Palace, Jokhang Temple, Brahmaputra Grand Canyon, Zhufeng, Namtso, and Yanghu Lake. And, if possible, we'd love to explore the Ngari region."
Zhao Yanhong inquired, "How do you intend to travel to Tibet? By plane or train?"
Aware of the pricing disparities between transportation modes, Liu Yong grinned, "We'll take a private plane. We have one at our disposal, enabling us to land directly at Ganga Airport."
Zhao Yanhong's initial astonishment swiftly transformed into skepticism and mild disdain. She wondered if Liu Yong was merely indulging in exaggerated tales. Such bragging was hardly uncommon.
In a professional tone, she excused herself, "If you'll excuse me, I have other matters to attend to."
As Zhao Yanhong departed, Liu Yong and Li Changle exchanged knowing glances. Li Changle playfully remarked, "Brother Yong, it seems our ambitious plans have raised some eyebrows."
Liu Yong chuckled, privately reflecting on whether he had gone too far. Nonetheless, he remained steadfast, determined to find the perfect travel agency.
He spoke, "Let's explore another agency."
Upon entering a different travel agency, Liu Yong revealed his true identity and intentions. This time, he spoke candidly with the staff, outlining his requirements.
Just as they were about to leave, a voice interjected, "Is there anything I can assist you with?"
Liu Yong turned to find a young woman, impeccably dressed and radiating an air of sophistication. She had noticed their conversation and had a proposal of her own.
Liu Yong paused, considering the offer. "We're planning a trip to Tibet, and we'll be flying on our private jet. If your agency can manage the logistics – tour guides, itinerary, accommodations, and transportation – we would be interested. We encountered some skepticism earlier, and we wanted to clear the air."
The young woman, Xiao Ai, extended her warmest apologies on behalf of her colleague and offered a new perspective. "I'm sorry for the earlier misunderstanding. At our agency, we take pride in providing exceptional service. We have experienced tour guides and well-established travel routes."
With a friendly gesture, she invited them to a more comfortable setting. "Shall we continue our discussion over there, at our guest reception area? We can go into more detail."
Sitting amidst the elegance of the reception area, Liu Yong and Li Changle accepted Xiao Ai's hospitality. As tea was served, they delved into the intricacies of their travel desires.
Meanwhile, back at the previous travel agency, Zhao Yanhong's colleagues curiously observed the unfolding events. They were particularly intrigued by Manager Du's attention to the young couple.
Zhao Yanhong assessed the situation and remarked, "Xiao Ai is quite inexperienced. She might have thought they were simply bragging to amuse themselves. Let her learn from this."
Her colleague said, "Perhaps, Sister Zhao, but what if they weren't exaggerating? What if their claims are true?"
Zhao Yanhong replied, somewhat dismissively, "It doesn't matter. It's good for young people to encounter challenges and learn from them."
Meanwhile, Liu Yong, Li Changle, and Xiao Ai engaged in a detailed conversation. Xiao Ai believed in their sincerity and took their requests seriously. However, Liu Yong had yet to reveal his true identity, instead focusing on outlining their desires.
Upon gathering all the necessary information, Xiao Ai excused herself briefly. She returned with Manager Du, a man in his thirties or forties who was clearly in the know about the situation. It was evident that Xiao Ai had reported their conversation to him.
Manager Du told Liu Yong, "We understand your requirements, and it comes at a higher cost."
Liu Yong, without hesitation, accepted the proposition, "Money is not an issue; we value the quality of your service above all else."
Manager Du's eyes gleamed with satisfaction as he contemplated the potential profit. "For the entire 12-day journey, the total cost would be 300,000 yuan."
To his surprise, Liu Yong didn't attempt to negotiate or haggle. He agreed, "No problem, we're ready to pay."
Manager Du was taken aback by the ease with which Liu Yong accepted the price. He had expected some bargaining, but Liu Yong's nonchalance suggested that 300,000 yuan was a mere drop in the ocean for him.
Back at the previous travel agency, Zhao Yanhong watched the unfolding scenario with growing surprise. The absence of negotiation had left her bewildered.
To her relief, Manager Du reassured Liu Yong, "If there are any inconveniences with your private jet, we can assist you in
booking commercial flights, with no additional charges."
This offer was made with a subtle hint, allowing Liu Yong to gracefully step down from his earlier claim. A private jet may not always be the most practical option.
Not too far away, Zhao Yanhong's colleagues were buzzing with conversation. One of them remarked, "Did you see that? Manager Du is personally handling their case!"
And the speculation continued.
