Chapter 557: Chapter 557 - Packing for Moonlight Fae Territory
Chapter 557: Chapter 557 - Packing for Moonlight Fae Territory
As Broken had foreseen this outcome, Princess Alora was ready to take decisive action against the attacks by the Moonlight Fae.
Broken had also outlined the potential strength these opponents possessed, so with any luck, she would deploy her two Knight Grand Crosses, along with additional knights and troops, ensuring that this campaign would be carried out with more than enough force to guarantee
success.
Elaine had previously warned him about the full moon's impact for the Moonlight Fae-not only would she herself transform into the Eternal Flame beast, but another faery would as well. Broken knew the power that came with this form, remembering how Fang, the former Knight Commander, managed to withstand attacks from the Fae Knights and Elaine on his own.
If Morel, too, transformed into his Eternal Flame form and still carried his grudge against Broken, this mission would be anything but simple. And there was always the possibility of more Eternal Flames waiting, ready to unleash further chaos.
What if they still had additional Fae Guardians hidden away, like the three they encountered before? This challenge wouldn't be a small one by any means.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Scanning the room, Princess Alora asked, "Are there any other concerns beyond what we've discussed here?"
Elincia raised her hand, and upon a nod from the Princess, she began to speak.
"When we consider the power they've demonstrated-even with only a few guardians crossing into our lands-it's clear they can wreak great havoc. We should assume that their forces within their territory are even stronger. The Ass Guild can only commit a maximum of five or six members, so I believe we need additional support for this mission, Princess." Princess Alora nodded. "That's a valid point, Elincia. I'll dispatch more troops from the Kingdom to reinforce our forces, and my two Knight Grand Crosses and I will form the core of the team."
She glanced around the room, and continued. "Given everything we've discussed, I believe we should prepare immediately. With the full moon approaching, time is not on our side. Let's finalize our strategy to leave at first light tomorrow."
Princess Alora displayed a commanding presence as she spoke, a stark contrast to the casual ease with which she'd conversed with Broken outside such a serious forum. Her decisive approach to addressing the Kingdom's threats impressed everyone present.
Despite her youth, she carried herself with a pride and authority befitting not only her status as a crowned princess but also the formidable title of Princess of the Battlefield. That name echoed in the minds of many, and today, she was proving just how well-earned it truly was.
"I will lead this attack myself," she concluded, her words signaling the end of the meeting.
The room filled with movement as everyone stood to leave, but as Broken was about to follow, Princess Alora turned to him.
"Baron Broken."
"Yes, Your Highness?"
"I need to discuss the new gear I require you to craft," she continued. "Do you have time for a conversation?"
Broken nodded, watching the others file out until the door shut, leaving only him, Princess Alora, and her two knights.
"Lionell mentioned you had something specific you wanted to discuss?" Alora asked.
Broken had already spoken with Elincia about the location of Mithril, and she had informed him that this rare ore was closely connected to the elves.
Elincia suggested he bring the matter up directly with Princess Alora, given her Half-Elf heritage and deep ties to the elves.
"Yes, Princess," Broken began. "I've received a quest to locate Mithril and gain the ability to mine it. Elincia mentioned that the Forest Elves have significant knowledge about this ore."
"Oh, Mithril..." Alora murmured. "That does bring back memories. Yes, we forest elves are well acquainted with this ore."
In Yunatea, there are three distinct types of elves widely known: High-Elves, Forest Elves, and Dark Elves. Although they all share the same elven lineage, they differ significantly in physical traits, lifestyles, and growth potential.
High-Elves are regarded as the strongest elven race in Yunatea. They are typically taller than most humans and possess greater strength than other races, thanks in part to their queen, who holds the title of Champion of Pride.
The High-Elves rule a powerful kingdom on the Central Continent, one of the largest in Yunatea. Despite the small elven population, this kingdom is largely inhabited by humans who benefit from High-Elven protection and leadership.
Forest Elves, Princess Alora's lineage, prefer life in remote and secluded areas, deeply integrated with nature. These elves reside in dense forests and rarely venture beyond, making
their inclusion in adventurer parties a rare privilege.
Forest Elves are also believed to inhabit the Floating Island, Vensalor-the very place
SexyGrill mentioned in a quest discussion a few days ago.
Lastly, Dark Elves resemble humans in size but have distinctive dark skin tones, ranging from blue to purple and sometimes gray.
Princess Alora continued, "Actually, I have plans to visit my tribe's homeland in the coming months to attend to some matters."
"Would I be able to find Mithril there, Princess?"
"I can't guarantee it," Alora replied. "However, my tribe used to have a Mithril mining site there. If we gain their approval, they may grant us access to information on its location-or even permission to mine these ores. What do you think?"
"I would be deeply grateful for the opportunity to visit a place where I could obtain these ores, Princess."
Alora nodded, then turned to Lionell, who stepped forward with a respectful bow.
"Your Highness," Lionell said, "either I or Mercy should accompany you on this journey, at the very least."
Alora nodded thoughtfully, then turned back to Broken. "I'll keep you updated once we've dealt with the Moonlight Fae. When we meet the Forest Elves, I'm certain you'll find the
information you're seeking."
"Thank you, Princess," Broken replied quietly.
"For me," she added, "a journey outside the royal boundaries of Dissidia Kingdom isn't
something I can openly announce to many."
"Does that mean this mission is top secret?"
"Yes," Alora admitted. "I suppose I trust you more than I should. If your intentions toward
me were questionable, I could be in serious trouble."
"My advice? Don't trust others too far, Princess."
"Yes, especially if that advice comes from you." She smiled.
He still hadn't found a clear-cut way to acquire Mithril. But at least, he'd made some progress, however small it was.
Meeting the forest elves? Now that was something that never failed to spark his interest. Especially if the expedition meant he'd be going with Princess Alora. Who knew what they might discover out there together?
With fresh resolve on his Mithril quest, Broken took his leave, heading off to meet with Elincia. There was someone he was set on meeting that day.
"So, what kind of surprise have you planned for me?"
"Come with me," Elincia replied enthusiastically as they made their way toward a tavern in the town center. "I'm sure they'll be thrilled to meet you. They're siblings-a brother and his younger sister. The brother is a big fan of yours, and the sister... well, she's someone you'll
want to meet."
"What exactly are you talking about? And who are they?"
