Chapter 457: Chapter 457 - (Special Chapter) The Taste of The Hell

Broken smiled faintly as he examined the Domain that SpeedGang had cast-a skill unique to him as the Champion of Gluttony. And this was only the first stage; the rules inside the Domain might very well change with each level, depending on how far SpeedGang could push it.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"You understand the risks now, don't you?" SpeedGang said. "No one can help you here. I'll make sure that I personally destroy you."

Broken knew, of course, that he could easily escape the Domain. He had the perfect skill to counter something like this. But leaving wasn't his intention-he wanted this fight. He intended to take it seriously, and perhaps even enjoy it.

For some reason, he hoped SpeedGang would put up a decent fight. Broken had no plans to use all of his power here, just a small fraction of it. He didn't want to expose everything he had- not yet. He'd save his trump cards for the real threats.

Broken first checked his overall status. These were his stats while equipped with the Invincible Paragon set and the Wavebreaker Spear, along with all his ring accessories. To his surprise, he had already reached level 136. Though the progress wasn't as rapid as before, he was still leveling up passively, even when logged out of the game.

He noticed he had 70 available stat points to allocate. Quickly, he began considering the optimal way to spend them. With the Invincible Paragon set, his Constitution and Stamina were already quite high, but his Agility and Intelligence lagged behind slightly.

He immediately knew where those points needed to go.

He prioritized boosting his Intelligence first, which would enhance his overall damage, especially elemental damage, and ensure he could use more skills without waiting on Mana regeneration. He needed that extra power to maximize his potential in this fight.

[Blessing of Health (Active Skill) Lv. 5]

This was a skill from his Super Novice class, boosting his overall health by 35% for the next 10 minutes.

[Invincible Shields (Active Skill)]

A skill from the Invincible Paragon Armor. It generated 12 layers of energy shields, each capable of negating any incoming damage.

[Earth Skin (Active Skill)]

Another skill from the Invincible Paragon Armor, enveloping his body with an Earth Elemental Shield, reducing all physical damage taken by 30%.

[Earth Elemental Protection (Active Skill)]

This skill, from the Invincible Paragon Armor Pants, summoned an earth elemental aura that shielded him, equal to 30% of his total Health, to absorb incoming attacks.

[Miner's Fortitude (Conditional Passive Skill) Lv. 2]

A skill from his Rift Digger class, increasing his defense by 10% and boosting his maximum Health by 3,000.

As each skill activated, several layers of golden-yellow energy formed around his body, while an ocean blue aura wrapped tightly around him, radiating strength and resilience.

"I'm ready whenever you are," Broken said calmly, twirling his spear before settling into his battle stance.

SpeedGang held a shield in his right hand and a sword in his left, an arrogant smirk plastered across his face as he prepared to launch his attack.

"I will kill you in five seconds."

With a burst of speed, SpeedGang moved forward. He advanced with a focused intensity, charging toward Broken, ready to unleash a brutal strike.

Broken responded with equal speed, his body moving with agility as he spun his spear, deflecting and parrying SpeedGang's initial attacks.

[Spear Guard (Conditional Passive Skill) Lv. 4]

SpeedGang was forced backward, stumbling a few steps. He quickly recovered, eyes flashing with annoyance, but his confidence didn't waver. With a growl, he lunged forward again, striking swiftly and relentlessly with his sword.

But Broken's spear danced like a living thing. He parried each strike effortlessly, the haft of the spear twisting to meet every blow, while the sharp spearhead threatened SpeedGang's advances, keeping him at a distance.

The sound of clashing weapons filled the air as they exchanged blows-SpeedGang's heavy sword striking powerfully against the spear, which spun and twisted with precision.

SpeedGang swung his sword in a wide arc, attempting to break Broken's defense, but Broken took a half-step back, using the momentum to twirl his spear and deliver a swift counter

strike.

SpeedGang gritted his teeth, stepping back for a moment. He narrowed his eyes at Broken, clearly frustrated.

"You're pretty good with that spear, huh?"

"Two more seconds," Broken said quietly, provoking him further.

SpeedGang, now enraged, charged with even more ferocity. He thrust his massive shield

forward, sending Broken staggering back a few steps.

SpeedGang's speed suddenly increased, and his sword began to blur as he swung it rapidly. He had activated a skill that enhanced both his movement and attack speed.

He might be a shielder, but he can still deliver such powerful attacks! Broken thought as he blocked

the rapid strikes.

SpeedGang managed to land several slashes on Broken's body, but to his shock and confusion, none of the hits seemed to cause any real damage.

"What kind of protection skill is this? Do you honestly think your skills can withstand my attacks?" SpeedGang yelled angrily.

Without missing a beat, Broken repositioned himself using his Dash skill, slipping out of

range.

After just five seconds had passed, Broken smirked. "I think your sense of time is a bit off. I'm

still perfectly fine."

He spoke calmly, the ease in his voice only irritating SpeedGang more. But rather than backing down, SpeedGang burst into laughter.

"Ha ha ha... You think you'll win just because you withstood my warm-up attack? Huh?" he

growled.

With a sharp movement, SpeedGang closed his helmet, fully encasing himself in his Heavy Armor. His shield suddenly expanded, now surrounded by a swirling black energy. Grinning maniacally, he charged at Broken, moving four times faster than before. He slammed his shield into Broken with incredible force, causing a brief stun that left Broken

reeling backward from the sheer impact.

Before Broken could recover fully, SpeedGang was on him again, his movements impossibly quick. His sword strikes were relentless, powerful, and precise. The relentless assault began to wear down Broken's shields, each swing tearing away layers of his protection.

"I have to hold on until his skill runs out," Broken muttered to himself, calculating the situation in a hushed voice.

The sound of metal clashing against metal filled the air, each impact sending out a spray of sparks. It was a fierce and desperate battle, with SpeedGang's relentless attacks forcing Broken into a defensive stance.

"Damn!" Broken muttered under his breath. SpeedGang's onslaught was too quick, the strikes landing one after another. His layers of shield had completely vanished under the repeated

barrage of blows.

Broken could feel his Health slowly chipping away with each powerful hit. SpeedGang won't be

able to maintain these fast movements for long, he thought, trying to keep calm. He knew that if he could endure just a little longer, SpeedGang's skill would eventually wear off. Until then,

he had to hold on without letting his Health drop too low.

[Healing Touch (Active Skill) Lv. 5]

Broken activated his healing skill, restoring his health to full once again.

He attempted to parry SpeedGang's attack, but the latter's movements were blindingly fast, nearly impossible to track. Even Broken's experience and agility couldn't match the speed of the furious strikes raining down upon him. He tried to predict the sword's trajectory, but SpeedGang's rhythm was unpredictable, the strikes relentless and forceful.

"Do you think your pathetic little mini-stun can affect me? Hahaha, you're too naive, Broken," SpeedGang taunted. "I am a Divine Champion. You can't even begin to understand what that truly means."

"Oh, looks like I'm getting pushed back. You're just too strong for me," Broken replied in a

mocking tone.

"Your pitiful spear play won't be enough to defeat me. This is far from over! I haven't even shown you my full potential. I'm just playing with you right now."

"Oh, really?" Broken responded. "Even with all the effort I'm putting in, are you saying I'm

going to lose soon?"

"Shut your mouth!" SpeedGang snarled, lunging toward Broken once more.

[Invincible Force Reflection (Active Skill)]

This skill generates a forcefield that deflects all physical damage back to attackers. It absorbs incoming damage for 2 seconds before reflecting it back like a boomerang. SpeedGang's entire form became a blur as he raced around Broken, his sword flashing, and shield swinging in a display of overwhelming speed and power.

Yet something strange began to happen-each time SpeedGang's strikes landed, there was no

sign of injury on Broken. The attacks seemed to dissipate, their force fading without any

visible effect.

SpeedGang's expression twisted into confusion, just as an explosive force rebounded. An intense burst of energy erupted from Broken, knocking SpeedGang violently backward. He stumbled, his feet leaving the ground as he was sent soaring through the air, his body

spinning out of control.

He crashed into the ground with a heavy thud, rolling several times before coming to a stop. "This is my chance!" Broken murmured with a faint smile.

He switched weapons, replacing his spear with the Thorned Vindicator Sword.

[Charged Attack (Active Skill) Lv. 5]

Broken moved swiftly, his body a blur as he closed the distance. The blade sliced through the

air with fierce precision.

[Quick Strike (Active Skill) Lv. 5]

Broken struck again and again, each blow growing faster, the speed of his attacks becoming

almost impossible to follow.

SpeedGang was truly in a dire situation. Caught off guard by his own attack being reflected

back at him, he found himself overwhelmed by the relentless flurry of strikes from Broken.

Could this battle really end like this?

This was supposed to be a Divine Champion-the one who boldly claimed he would destroy

Slumdon Town.
