Chapter 377: Chapter 377 - How did you get here?

The elf girl lunged at Broken, aiming to stab him with her dagger, but he was quick enough to deflect her hand. However, in the same swift motion, her left hand managed to snatch the keys from his grasp while Broken leaped back out of the carriage.

"What? Why?" he exclaimed, confused by her sudden aggression.

The elf then jumped out of the carriage, dagger in hand, ready to attack.

[Invincible Shields (Active Skill)]

Broken activated the skill from his Invincible Paragon Armor (Chest), creating multiple layers of golden energy around his body, capable of negating up to 12 incoming attacks.

He quickly summoned his Wavebreaker Spear, but the elf moved with surprising speed, slashing at him repeatedly. Her strikes rapidly depleted several layers of the Invincible Shields. However, Broken managed to spin his spear and counterattack with precision.

[Spiral Pierce (Conditional Passive Skill) Lv. 2]

The spear struck out with a powerful spiral motion, aiming directly at the elf, the force of the attack pushing her back.

The elf was knocked back but quickly regained her stance, clearly filled with anger. But why? Was it because Broken was wearing a mask and she didn't recognize him? Reflexively, he removed his Eclipsed Visage, revealing his face to her.

"Hey, are you sure you want to fight me?" he asked.

"That should be my question to you," she retorted.

Wait... What?

"Hold on, just tell me why you attacked," he said, trying to diffuse the situation.

"I warned you not to meddle in my affairs. I thought our business was finished," the elf, whose name was Elowen, replied sharply.

Seeing that she was starting to talk, Broken relaxed his stance slightly, standing tall and resting his spear on the ground.

"I think you've got the wrong idea," he said calmly.

Elowen snapped. "You came because you know I discovered your secret and plan to kill me, right? I won't let that happen!" she insisted, her voice full of determination.

Broken sighed and facepalmed. It seemed this elf had completely misunderstood the situation.

"See... that's why I said you should confirm someone's intentions before jumping to conclusions. You almost killed me," Broken said.

"I don't care. Besides, you can come back to life after dying. But not with us!" she retorted firmly. "What was your purpose in coming here and killing those demons? Do you realize you've ruined my plan? You're completely foolish!"

"Shut up and let me talk before you judge me, dumb elf!"

"How dare you mock the entire elf race!"

"Not the whole race, just you!"

"So, you want to settle this with a fight?" she challenged.

"You shut up and let me talk, dumbass!" Broken snapped back.

"What could someone as low-level as you possibly do against me, huh?"

"Do you think those two demons with levels over 200 just handed over their lives willingly?"

The elf clearly knew that all the demons around them were gone, and only one player was standing there. But how could someone with such a low level be that powerful?

Broken noticed Marlene approaching from a distance, dragging a demon behind her with her whip. Refocusing on the elf in front of him, he decided to clarify things.

"Listen, first, we're not going to discuss our levels with anyone else, just between the two of us. Okay?"

"So, you're hiding something big about your level? Looks like I've got something to blackmail you with," she replied with a smirk.

"Second," Broken continued, ignoring her remark, "I came here to rescue the humans. After this, you can go wherever you want-it's none of my business. Consider it a bonus that I saved you."

"And who do you think you are, giving me orders?" she shot back defiantly.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

As Marlene drew closer, Broken quickly stored his spear in his Inventory. The elf, too, seemed to reach a reluctant truce with the situation, though Broken couldn't forget how she had mentioned her plans being ruined by his actions. There was still tension between them, but for now, they both seemed willing to stand down.

Marlene stood watching them for a moment. "So, do we need to kill this bitch?" she asked, her tone cold.

"Shut up, because I'll be the one to kill first!" the elf shot back, readying her dagger.

"Stop it. Enough!" Broken barked. "Let's not waste time. We need to get everyone out of here before more demons show up."

Marlene just smirked at Broken's command, but she didn't push the issue.

After that, Broken put his mask back on while the elf entered each carriage, freeing the slaves. She also removed the iron collars from their necks, finally releasing them from the grip of

slavery.

The humans, once gathered in one place, looked terrified by everything that had happened. But as their slave collars were removed, a glimmer of hope appeared in their eyes.

Since Broken had put his mask back on, he kept his identity hidden, not wanting to be recognized by any of the slaves. Although he wasn't sure if the people from Slumdon being held here would have recognized him anyway, he preferred to stay cautious.

After freeing the slaves, they had the chance to introduce themselves and talk a bit. The elf explained that she had been on a mission, which was why she had been so furious when Broken intervened and disrupted her plans.

The elf revealed that she had intentionally allowed herself to be captured so she could be taken to the place where her other friends and family had been enslaved. However, with the demons now dead, they were left without a clear path to the destination the demons had been

headed for.

Marlene still had one demon bound with her whip, and the creature looked completely defeated, offering no resistance.

"I have to go save my friends," the elf said determinedly.

Broken nodded and asked, "Is it possible that there are other races there, besides elves? Like

humans?"

"So, you only care about humans? Not the whole slavery thing?"

"No, I don't really care about anyone in particular," Broken replied, "but those humans are from the same country where I reside, in Yunatea." Upon hearing this, the slaves exchanged

glances and whispered among themselves.

"Oh... that makes sense, but still, it's pretty selfish," the elf remarked.

Marlene pulled on her whip, causing the demon to collapse to the ground. "Actually, we can still reach the destination. We've got this demon to guide us."

"Can you get the information from him, Marlene?"

"Yes, of course," she replied, tightening the whip around the demon's neck. "You can take us to your destination, can't you?"

"Yes, My Lady... Yes, I will take you there," the demon gasped, his voice filled with suffering.

"See? Case closed," Marlene said casually.

According to their original plan, after freeing the slaves, Broken and the others intended to attack the residence of the slave buyer. However, one big question lingered in his mind: once they rescued these humans, how would he get them back to Yunatea?

"Elowen," he called out, and the elf turned to face him. "Tell me, how did you get here, and how do we get these people out of here?" he asked, hoping to finally solve the puzzle.
