Chapter 49 Victory!
49 Victory!
BAANG. BAAANG. BAAANG. BAAANG.
"AHHHHHHHHHH," the roar came from none other than Hael, who was surrounded by the mirages of dust, pounding hard against the eldritch which had already been cornered to the wall by him.
What followed were mini-explosions as Hael furiously pounded on the eldritch, with a crimson red color completely covering his astral blue color. Finally, he got tired as he slammed both knees on the ground beneath him, his lungs burning.
Slowly, the crimson color in him faded away as Hael regained himself and looked at his opponent who had been reduced to nothing but gore and blood, its internal organs bursting out as it had been flattened to the wall.
"What... what just happened?" Hael asked in shock as he retreated away from the gory body, almost puking at the sight.
[It seems you lost all reasoning for some seconds, and you reduced it to what it is, with your fists. That's actually incredible...] The system's voice resounded as Hael furrowed his eyebrows at the strange words.
"Lost all reasoning?" Turning to look at the gory body of the eldritch, he noticed that it had dispersed into white gas taken out of the realm. What followed was the AI's voice.
"Winner: Hael. Congratulations on successfully passing the test. Would you like to proceed to the third test: Fighting a Lower Namaah Eldritch?"
The AI asked as Hael narrowed his eyes, before standing back to his feet and picking up his sword. He then got into a stance as he prepared himself.
"Yes!" Since he couldn't die in the test, he might as well use the opportunity to learn about his own limits and know what type of eldritch it would be better for him to run away from on sight if he didn't want to lose his life.
{Your opponent will now be transported...} The AI announced to him, and in the next instant, a piercing white light flashed in front of Hael, which soon disappeared revealing an absolutely monstrous figure.
"What the hell is this?" Hael asked in shock as he looked up at the eyes towering above him with more than three heads.
It was huge, incredibly huge, and it had four large muscular arms, the bulging muscles on it covered in dark slimy skin.
Its legs could be described as the same, and its lips were about the size of three of him combined. Behind its back was a single slimy bat-like wing, and just like the previous one, it had those strange tentacle tails, except instead of two, it had five.
Its face was like that of an octopus, with smaller tentacles instead of hair, and its two eyes were pitch black, as it looked at Hael with a listless gaze.
{Battle Commences in 3...2...1. Go!} n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
BOOOOOOOOOOOOM.
Before Hael could even move a single muscle, his chest suddenly caved in, blood spewing out of his mouth uncontrollably, and then...
BAAAAAAANG.
He smashed into the wall, digging a half-meter deep hole into it as he coughed up even more blood. Less time was given for him to react, as another tail rapidly lashed out like a whip towar
ds his head. Hael bent his head down at the last second, the wall above his head sliced up, and Hael quickly tore himself out of the wall, and moved to the side.
Turning to look at the place where he had formerly been, he could see a 2-meter deep mark made onto the wall by the single lash of the eldritch's tail.
[It is beyond your level!] The system's warning rang in his head as Hael saw the eldritch slowly turn its head to him. Hael instinctively rolled away from where he stood.
Less than a fraction of a second later, a gigantic pothole was made where he had formerly stood, as the tentacle violently smashed into the ground.
But that was only the beginning as the five tentacles immediately all began lashing out at Hael.
Blood burst out of his skin with every lash, as he failed to avoid some of them in time, and the more he ran, the more blood poured out of his body...
"Faster! Faster!" Hael declared in his head as he ran with speed, blood spraying out occasionally.
Just when two tentacles cornered him with three more violently lashing from the side, Hael felt that was the end of everything. But the unwillingness to lose flashed in his eyes as a horrifying streak of veins appeared on his forehead.
Taking a single step forward that caused cracks all over the ground, Hael moved, even though he knew he would be still too slow. Yet he still moved, and when he did...
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.
A crimson light exploded forth, its source none other than from Hael's core implanted in his chest. Suddenly, flames billowed out uncontrollably from Hael's feet and then...
BAAAAANG.
The air before him exploded as he burst forward with horrifying momentum, disappearing into thin air.
SLASH. SLASH. SLASH.
The three tentacles violently lashed at Hael's image, tearing it apart, but the expected blood never came as the eldritch creature directed its surprised eyes to the side where Hael could be seen, crouched on himself, with massive amounts of smoke bursting out of his legs...
"What, what just happened?" Hael asked in shock as he turned to look at both his own feet and saw the massive amount of dark smoke oozing from them.
Raising the back of his feet to himself, he was shocked to see three circular holes around the soles of his feet, each of them bursting with dark smoke and remnants of red flames...
[Congratulations. Host's fusion with his cybernetic implant has moved from 1% to 5%. Host has awakened a Cyber skill: Blazing Red Thruster Feet...]
The system notification appeared in front of him as shock flashed in Hael's eyes.
"A... a new skill!"
But suddenly...
BAAAAAAAAANG. CRASSSSH.
A colossal hand violently smashed against Hael's entire body, lifting him up and slamming him into the wall.
Hael's remaining eye turned to look at the eldritch which was slowly walking towards him. Trying to quickly run out, he realized an unbelievable truth...
