Chapter 131 Wen Sima
Today, Wen Sima was in his room when he suddenly felt the presence of his 3 friends around.
He was the 8th Royal prince of the Tah region, and his mother was the 4th concubine of his royal majesty.
Yes. His father had 5 concubines in total.
But for most of his life, his father hadn't chosen an official wife until 80 years ago.
His father was thoroughly impressed with his 4th brother and made the 2nd Concubine his official wife.
So now, there were 4 concubines and 1 official wife.
Anyway, as one would've guessed, his concubine mothers had been plotting and screaming against him and his mother since he could remember.
Of course, his mother wasn't any Saint either. She had to pull a few cards to survive, or else he and she would've been dead ages ago.
Wen Sima had 2 other blood siblings, all older than he was. He had an elder sister and an elder brother, both within the Profound Sect.
Both were already core disciples, while he was still an inner disciple. Nonetheless, his progress was still astonishing for his age.
There are 2 ways for one to be a core disciple; they either have to step into the 2nd Dao, which was the Spirit Realm, and take the several tests and exams... or an elder or a person who sees their potential can promote them to what was called 'Semi-Core Disciple.'
The last method basically meant that the person's talents were so great with a lot of potential that could be worked on.
For example, the little Princess of the sect, Lulu, was a core disciple even though she hadn't stepped into the Spirit Realm yet.
Her innate talent and rare ice body that could only be found once in a million years had caused the leaders to take the chance and nurture her properly.
Of course, she wants the only one, as there were a few Semi-Core disciples like this too.
The only thing to note was that these semi-core disciples couldn't enjoy all true benefits core disciples could.
They could only enjoy at most 3~4/10 of the benefits.
And, they weren't allowed to take Core disciple missions, join Core disciples battles, and whatnot.
.
Again, after one becomes a core disciple, they now strived to enter the 4th Dan of the Spirit realm to get promoted to Gold Disciple.
Following that, entering the 8th Dan would make them more fit to choose the path of being high-ranking elders or do as they pleased.
For sure, there were weak elders and strong elders.
If one couldn't get promoted from Outer to Inner Sect disciples after a certain period, they could turn into elders overseeing the handymen and the outer sect area and disciples.
Of course after that, even if they had become elders, once they reached the qualifications to advance, they could always leave their positions and head on to the next phase.
Likewise, getting promoted from inner to Core disciple within the estimated limit had the same process too.
In short, within any level, those who couldn't pass the advancing period would become elders or work for the sects while trying to advance.
They wouldn't have so much free time on their hands and wouldn't get the standard sect allowance and pills given to disciples.
Now, they could join the sect’s law enforcement, becoming guards, supervisors, spies, and whatnot.
Their cultivation time would now be greatly lessened since they could no longer just sit there for months and years cultivating.
As for Wen Sima, he was 207 years old and was already within the 9th Dan of the True Qi Realm.
His goal for now was to surpass the 13th Dan and advance to the next Dao, hence becoming a Core disciple just like his older siblings.
.
When it came to the Royals, they secretly looked down on the Profound Sect.
Why? Because amongst the top 3 big sects, it was indeed the weakest of the big 3.
So most of his concubine mothers had sent their children to either the Holy Fountain sect or the Mystical True Force Sect.
Only his mother had chosen the Profound Sect. And no matter what anyone said, she stuck to her choice. Hence, he and his siblings were the only royals here.
Pondering on how strong and dangerous the other half-blood siblings were, Wen Sima was more determined than ever to get strong faster!
His mother had been framed not too long ago and was now a house prisoner in her courtyard.
Her secret guards told them to stay put within the Sect for safety, making him and his siblings worried sick.
However, they knew that if they went there now, they would only be falling into the enemy's trap even more.
Even within the sect, they had met some hidden killers who managed to sneak in. But fortunately, he had an escaping scroll from his master, so he was fine.
That said, the dangers he and his siblings faced concerning the situation were real.
Some people wanted their lives. So the moment they left the sect, it could be game over.
But now, Wen Sima, who had been cultivating for 7 days straight, was a little taken aback by the excitement he sensed from his friends.
Their excitement was something he had never seen from them before.
But wait.
The inter-sect competition is tomorrow. So did something happen while he was here?
(°_°)
.
Wen Sima walked to his door, only to hear the weirdest things from them.
"Dammit! Megaera got me again. I really hate that lady!"
"Me too! But I have to say that I hate Mr. Riggon within that Sand world. And not just him. Even the one named the Badger was a big issue to me when in the 'Japan' world. He disrupted my mission Oda Nobunaga assigned to me. Dammit! For the past 4 days, I've been going to the Simulation room like crazy, only to get chopped off by these villains!"
"That's right! There's also this Melina Lady in Mortal Kombat who makes me boil in rage. Hey. Melinda, Megaera... has anyone noticed that the ladies with the names starting with '-Me-' aren't good things at all?"
Wen Sima looked at them and was lost. "What the hell are you guys talking about?"
Everyone paused their arguments before looking at Wen Sima pitifully. "Bro, you've been cultivating for the last 7 days, and you've really missed out!"
"Yeah! If we didn't come to you now, you wouldn't even have a chance of winning the inter-sect competition!"
Wen Sima looked at his friends and started wondering if they were drunk or had their brains fried.
What the hell were they talking about?
One of them placed their hands on Wen Sima's shoulders pitifully: "Bro. Say no more. You need help."
"That's right. We are here to take you to a place. We are here to take you to the Shoupin region."
"..."
Wen Sima didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Shoupin region? Wasn't that within the sect?
It's official.
His friends had lost it.
…
