I Will Conquer The World!

Chapter 11: Just what are you...?

Chapter 11: Just what are you...?

John slowly got up while clutching his head, planning to beat some sense into this foolish king who tried to murder him, when lots of information flooded his brain.

He widened his eyes, as he saw various scenes of farms. One scene contained slightly rotting plants, and he pronounced a term 'necrosis', which seemed familiar yet unfamiliar to him.

John felt confused, elated yet slightly dazed. He felt confused at all the unfamiliar terms he learnt along with their exact meanings, which all felt extremely familiar and reminiscent to him, like he knew about them from years, and was elated because several images of plants that he had seen were similar to the condition of the plants grown in their farms before the rainstorm.

He even had knowledge about several agricultural related tips and tricks, which while not the most earth shattering, can definitely help crops grow better.

John suddenly had an epiphany about what may have happened. The strange thing that the king had stabbed in his neck.... but that was impossible!

All the knowledge and experience he had gained had to be cultivated with years of hard work! No one could just insert needles into a person and make them knowledgeable!

But that was what happened right now, wasn't it?

No. He denied it firmly. No human could do that! This was the power that only the holy ancestors, or deranged demons had.

But deranged demons would charge a price for everything wouldn't they? He was sure that if the king was a demon, he would just ask for his soul as the price.

Hell, why would he even come to this town? Couldn't he just control the king with his demonic powers?

So the only other option is that the king must be the messenger of the ancestors! Maybe he had come to this town to save them from their suffering!

Just to make sure, he walked towards the king unsteadily as his body hadn't completely recovered, and asked slowly, "Your Highness, what is the price of the knowledge that I have just gained...?"

Harry looked at him with confusion. He said slowly, "Price? There is no price for knowledge. Just start farming as soon as you can. I leave the duty of convincing the other farmers to you."

John was already half convinced that the king was a messenger of the ancestors before, and thus called him 'Your Highness' with respect.

But after hearing what he had said, he was completely convinced that the king was the messenger of the gods.

There was no price for the knowledge that the king had given. It was priceless, but the king charged nothing.

He only wanted him to start farming.

He also noticed that the king had extraordinary strength, as he easily defeated three Lyrians without breaking a sweat.

After helping them up, he found that they received only superficial injuries that would heal in a few days.

This was the final nail in the coffin for him, showing that the king must be a messenger of the ancestors.

It was almost like his mind was firmly trying to imprint that the king was the messenger of the ancestors, as he knew the consequences if he was a demon just pretending to be good.

He was technically correct. But it's not compulsory that the messenger of gods needs to be good, is it?
