Chapter 31 - 31 - Free Level Up
Chapter 31: - Free Level Up
"You've transformed into a Shadestalker Vampire, and now you have the potential to build your own group of vampire followers. By biting other humans, you can turn them into vampires like yourself, although they'll be half-pure blood," Bong explained, his tone a mix of mentorship and guidance.
"So, I can make my own followers ?" Charles inquired.
Bong Nodded in Agreement.
"Just be careful about who you choose to turn. Your actions will shape the future of our sanctuary," Seraphina chimed in with a thoughtful expression, her eyes fixed on Charles.
"I understand. I'll choose wisely." Charles looked thoughtful, his mind racing with possibilities.
Bong started to outline his future plans, detailing how Charles' unique ability would play a pivotal role. Charles would assist Bong in identifying suitable humans to join the newly formed Shadow Unit-an elite army specialized in gathering crucial information from different human kingdoms across various continents.
This unit would operate in the shadows, safeguarding their King, Bong, and eliminating potential threats to the sanctuary. Charles' primary objective was to level up and identify potential candidates among humans to form this intelligence-gathering unit.
After comprehending Bong's strategic vision, Charles and Seraphina began to express their admiration for their King. In their eyes, Bong had transformed into a figure of regal significance, the one who would reshape the destiny of the Vampire race.
Their hopes extended to a future where they would regain the long-lost glory of the Vampire race, a past that had slipped away but could now be reclaimed through Bong's leadership and aspirations.
"Seraphina, I have a mission for you. As you know, Charles's level is low. Guide him and assist him in leveling up and forming the shadow army. Prioritize safety and avoid unnecessary risks. This marks the beginning of our future endeavors, and I won't tolerate any mistakes," Bong conveyed with authority and determination.
"Yes, my Master. You can trust me. I won't disappoint you," Seraphina affirmed with unwavering loyalty.
"Now go and bring the good news, or you'll face my wrath," Bong commanded, his tone a mix of authority and playful warning.
"Master, please forgive my intrusion, but could you grant me a new name? The name Charles is no longer fitting, as it is dead to my family. You've given me a new purpose, so could you also bless me with a name befitting that purpose?" Charles implored, his eyes reflecting gratitude and hope as he awaited Bong's response.
Bong fell into deep thought, considering Charles' request for a name that would be truly fitting for his new role and purpose.
"Eclipse Darkwood, and your new followers will carry the last name Darkwood," Bong announced, his voice carrying a weight of significance as he granted Charles his new name, marking a fresh beginning and purpose for him and his potential followers.
Bong began to explain the meaning behind the name. Eclipse Darkwood. The name carries the essence of shadows and darkness, aligning perfectly with Charles newfound abilities as a Shadestalkers Vampire.
Just as an eclipse obscures the light, you will have the power to seamlessly blend with shadows and darkness, becoming a master of stealth and intrigue. Moreover, 'Darkwood' signifies the depth of your transformation, much like the dark and mysterious woods that hold secrets waiting to be discovered.
It represents your journey from a tormented individual to someone with purpose and power, a symbol of your rebirth and new beginning.
"Master, I am truly honored by being given a name so worthy. You've put so much thought into this for me," Charles said with a bow, expressing his deep gratitude and loyalty as he embraced his new identity as Eclipse Darkwood.
"Master, how about me? Please grant me a new name too," Seraphina spoke up, her tone tinged with a mixture of curiosity and a hint of jealousy. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of envy seeing Bong put so much thought into Charles' new name.
"Eh? You already have a name as a Vampire. Now shoo shoo, off you go," Bong replied playfully, waving her away with his wing.
Seraphina and Eclipse ventured outside to embark on their mission of leveling up and forming the new unit. Seraphina's steps carried a hint of disappointment as she couldn't help but feel a bit jealous that Bong hadn't granted her a new name like he had for Eclipse.
On the other hand, Eclipse radiated happiness and a sense of purpose, grateful for the new direction his life had taken along with his new name.
"Phew, finally they're out of here. It's exhausting playing king all the time. Now I've got a little breathing room. Time to level up my skill proficiency and maybe work on mimicking some clothes," Bong muttered to himself with a relieved sigh, glad to have a moment of respite from his royal duties.
"And to top it off, I'll get some free level-ups from both of them. Talk about a sweet deal! Leveling up my proficiency while getting those bonus freebies," Bong chuckled to himself, clearly enjoying the idea of maximizing his gains.
Bong fluttered towards his room, a mischievous grin playing on his lips as he contemplated the free benefits he'd be enjoying while training in the comfort of his own space.
Bong headed to his private chamber and focused on leveling up his mimicry proficiency, particularly when it came to mimicking clothes. He began to shift through various forms - human, vampire, and even different monster races – all in an effort to enhance his mimicry skills.
"Hmm... how about a fish? I remember those fishy dishes, grilled, fried, sauteed... oh, and let's not forget sushi!" Bong scratched his head as he contemplated what form to mimic next.
But as he transformed into a fish and struggled to flop around on the floor, he quickly realized his mistake.
"Huff, huff... revert, revert back! Oh gosh, why did I even think of becoming a fish? I can't breathe without water... huff..." He chuckled at his own blunder and shifted back to his normal form to continue his training.
"No more fishy business. Let's stick to forms that know how to handle solid ground." With determination in his eyes, he resumed his mimicry practice, focusing on creatures that could actually thrive outside of water.
