Chapter 81: War is delayed?
Chapter 81: War is delayed?
Felix's stomach rumbled as he took a look around the mountainous region for one last time, unfortunately, he couldn't stay here to practice his newly initiated intelligence technique as there was no food he could find.
He left the mountain range at the same speeds that he arrived, he then decided to go back to the capital so he could get some good food there before coming back for some more training as it wasn't known when he will join the invasion of the Sparron continent so he wanted to be prepared.
His arrival back at the capital didn't trigger any waves, it was obvious that he would come back sooner or later, Siracha was only surprised that he came so early, he thought that Felix would have wanted to explore the Tarot continent more, after all, he had been only around the lion tribe and its surroundings, excluding the missions he did he might have only seen around 1 to 2% of the whole continent!
There were places that even Siracha didn't see as he didn't have time for traveling as he was the administrator and the highest fighting power of the lion tribe so he had his responsibilities.
Felix felt quite well as he patted his bloated stomach, he had eaten until he filled his belly and he had made quite the huge bill at his usual hotel which he paid after he came back to the capital he had been called to the mission bureau and given a small fortune for all of his hard work which he couldn't even use-fully if he wanted to.
There were so many gold bones that he couldn't count them all and they were all in his special bag that he kept tightly tied to his back.
Actually, Felix felt quite surprised by the durability of the bag, even in the fight with Wu Xiao which was quite destructive it didn't get damaged at all, one reason could be that the armor protected it but when he was in the poison his bag didn't even get any melting signs!
He wasn't sure from what material the bag was made from but it was actually tougher than his whole body!
Being a cat, he was naturally curious so he had tried to attack the bag and see what happened after it got his attention but after a few attacks, he realized there was no chance he could even scratch it and it was also a rather expensive good so it was better to stop playing with it.
Now that he had a full belly he could return to his training and he decided to not waste any more time by going back and forth between the mountain range and the capital of the lion tribe so he stuffed his bag full with food that would last a good amount of time even in the strange environment of the bag.
Felix found this food at the military store so he wasn't sure it would taste good but he was already full and he didn't want to eat anymore, he just hoped it didn't taste too horrendous.
As soon as he was ready to leave through the city gates of the capital he realized something... his senses were telling him someone was approaching rather quickly and as he took a glance back he realized it was Lindo, he was sweaty just like the last time he saw him.
However there was something different about his expression, there was a hint of urgency within it that Felix couldn't understand, why was he running to him with that expression?
Lindo sighed as he caught up with him and waved at him, Felix decided to wait for him and as soon as he got close to him he directly said:
"Felix don't go yet, grandpa has said that he needs all of the important fighters at his tent, he said that he got some information from our 'allies' and that it's urgent!"
Felix nodded, were they going to start the war already? Felix wanted to at least finish the intelligence breathing technique but it seemed he wouldn't be able to.
Lindo and Felix then ran towards Siracha's 'house' but it was more of a tent than anything, there they met with a few more captains that Felix didn't really know and there was also Landers and Catro along with Diorno, Lindo's father.
Felix looked around and didn't see Siracha only for him to appear on the chair that he usually sat on as if he teleported.
Siracha immediately tapped the table near him and said:
"I have gotten very important information from the battlefront of the Sparron continent invasion."
"And instead of just explaining to you it would be better just to show you."
Siracha had a serious expression on his face as he put his hands together as if he was praying before he muttered some words, then out of his eyes, a projection appeared which showed everything he had seen.
On a sandy beach, bloody battles were going everywhere, the attackers were obviously from the Haron and Balton continent, besides the gigantic spiders, Kangaroos and Ravens there was also a troop of tall apes that overshadowed everyone's momentum.
However, even that troop of apes couldn't break through the defense of the locals!
The locals were barricaded within trenches that they dug around the beach creating a defensive situation that the others couldn't breakthrough, but this wasn't everything! After all, just an environmental bonus wouldn't be enough to stop the strong teams from the Balton and Haron continents.
Felix frowned as he took a good look at the locals from the Sparron continent, a beautiful fox lady peeked her head full of fiery red hair out of the trenches and threw a green small thing in the shape of a ball, as Felix concentrated he saw that on her finger remained a metallic pin, there was no sound from the projection but Felix could read lips somewhat so he understood that the lady said something among the lines of fire and hole.
Why would a fire be in a hole?
Then Felix's eyes widened as he realized what she meant, the green small thing exploded in a shower of fire and hex energy as it engulfed the ape's who were the defending team for the invaders, blood started to shower from their bodies as they retreated slowly, they were rather injured and they didn't want to take another explosion like that one.
The shrapnel from the green things explosion had inserted itself in the backs of the apes and they looked quite sad as they returned out of the firing range of the defending troops.
Felix's eyes widened as he saw thousands of foxes fire up similar things that his Lion tribe just made their acquisition, those black circular things, what were they called?
Everyone was as surprised as Felix as they saw everything that happened, suddenly the connection was cut off as Siracha shook his head and said:
"It seems the observing shaman was found by the enemy shaman and he had to engage in a fight, the connection was cut off but they also sent a vocal message with these images."
A voice came out of nowhere that said:
"The fight between the Sparron, Haron, and Balton continents is in a stalemate, the full-on war shall be delayed until we will enter the mainland of the Sparron continent, the technology the Sparron continent had displayed comes from the group that had created the special bags among other things, while they are neutral it seems they have sold things that they shouldn't have so everyone that gets this message should go and talk with our 'friends'."
The message said talk and not attack which meant that even though the persons who sold the weapons to the Sparron continent made the sender of the message unhappy he knew that they weren't to be messed with, they just wanted to confirm something and it seemed the Lion tribe weren't the only ones who received the message.
Siracha sighed as he knew that it would come to this in the end, the people who sold the special bag were rather interesting but strange at the same time, they could only be counted as unique in the whole world and they were the most advanced technologically and the best-hidden race in the world.
Only Shamans in the top 10 on the planet knew the whereabouts of their temporary trading bases and they would also have to make an appointment 3 months before if they wanted to meet them!
Siracha sighed as he looked at everyone:
"You heard the man, the war shall be delayed for an indefinite amount of time, actually this might be a good thing for us so you should all do your best in your training so you can improve to your body's and mind's limits."
Everyone left but Siracha stopped Felix before he could exit the tent and made him sit near him:
"This time I need someone of the younger generation to come with me to those special people that were mentioned in the message, it's a customary greeting that these people want us to do when we don't come to talk business with them."
Felix nodded, at this point, he did want to see these people, after all, he was still interested in the special bag that he had on his back and what it was made from, maybe if he asked nicely these guys would answer him, as for the training? He could do it whenever he wanted, he might be able to put up some training even while he was traveling with Siracha around.
While a calm environment would quicken the training progress Felix could still train at a decent pace even if he moved as his strong soul facilitated a higher intelligence growth compared to others.
Seeing that Felix didn't disagree made Siracha sigh, Felix had done many great things for the tribe and he saw him as a great person and ally so he wouldn't want to force him to do things that he didn't want, he deserved at least this much.
"Ok then, Felix we shall move out tomorrow at dawn."
