I have Nine Lives

Chapter 200: Relaxation cut midway, and the situation in the upper realm

Chapter 200: Relaxation cut midway, and the situation in the upper realm

Felix looked towards Lindo, who was observing Marshallo and Jack's interactions with great interest. It seemed he was also interested in training under Marshallo.

Felix was rather surprised. He knew that Lindo was a rather prideful person who wanted to grow strong by himself. But as Felix looked at Lindo, he saw something in his eyes that seemed to be a rekindled fire.

It was something that he hadn't seen in Lindo since they were almost equal in strength.

After he had outgrown him so much, the fire of competition disappeared from his eyes, along with becoming content with what he had.

Felix coughed to attract Lindo's attention while leaving Marshallo to train Jack in the back courtyard.

Lindo's eyes wandered back to Felix as he asked:

"Felix, do you think that Marshallo might want to train me too?"

Felix knew that Lindo was going to ask that, so he responded directly:

"If you want to. He won't say no. Anyways, I wanted to talk with you a little before I left."

Lindo turned serious as he heard Felix's words and asked:

"What's so important that you would have to notify me before you left?"

Felix looked into Lindo's eyes as he decided to tell him his conjectures:

"I think the war isn't over."

Lindo's eyes widened for a few seconds before asking:

"What makes you say that? Haven't you killed or captured their best men?"

Felix nodded, he did do that, but that didn't mean he had done that to the whole civilization itself.

Plus, there was still the matter with the gods that attacked their own gods.

Who knew what would happen when the native gods would be replaced by those of the invaders?

Something good, surely not.

"You see, we were not the only ones invaded."

Felix proceeded to explain everything that he knew about the situation in the Gods' realm.

Lindo became a little concerned as he heard everything, then he asked:

"Have you told this to anyone else?"

Felix shook his head then he told him before leaving:

"Make sure to share this information with Siracha so he can pass it on to the humans as I'm not sure if I might be able to get to their events in time."

Lindo nodded as he understood, then Felix's body disappeared as he left the premises of the lion tribe's capital.

He needed a good place that he could use to connect with Aaltarox. Normally, Aaltarox would be able to talk with him whenever he wanted, but now that he was in the war, Felix wasn't sure he would be able to even ask for help.

He also wasn't sure if he could help at all. But Felix still wanted to check on him.

He decided to find a location- that was filled with an abundance of hex energy.

From Willie's memories. He learned that the more hex energy existed in the surroundings, the closer that place was that to god's will. Meaning, that communication with that certain God would be possible depending on the strength of the person who initiated the contact.

Felix knew of no such places, but Vangar as a high executive officer of the human army had a map of all those places that existed on their planet. Felix even learned which place was Aaltarox's from his memories, so he knew the certain direction to go.

Felix's body flickered through the space on the planet, moving so quickly through the continents that even the human apparatuses. Which were meant to observe the surroundings couldn't catch a hint of his shadow.

Felix appeared in a flower garden that was wilting at a quick speed. He was in an unknown place on the Balton continent.

This was Aaltarox's place. The place where his will could be called upon by his champions with the utmost ease due to the hex energy in the air, which was filled with bits and pieces of Aaltarox's severed senses.

Felix decided to sit in front of the obvious altar that was depicting Aaltarox's human form.

A short man who was well dressed wore spectacles and had short hair covered by a fishing hat.

This appearance was slightly different from what Felix remembered, but Gods could take whatever appearances they wanted.

Felix closed his eyes and tried to go into his mental palace, so he could create a better connection with the scattered senses of Aaltarox. And after that, he could ask him what was happening in the realm above.

Felix woke up immediately in his mental palace as he tried to create the connection between himself and Aaltarox, and surprisingly it went very smoothly as Aaltarox's voice was heard in Felix's head:

"Felix? How did you... You are at my altar on the Balton continent?"

"Why did you even..."

Aaltarox was puzzled. Why would Felix come to his altar when the war was still ongoing? Did he think that he might be able to do something as a God?

Aaltarox wanted to dismiss Felix but his eyes widened the moment he heard Felix's message:

"The war on our part is done. What's happening on yours?"

Aaltarox almost didn't believe that Felix's side had won the war against the invaders. The gods that were currently rampaging across the battlefield where he was showed that the people that were under them should be as fierce as they were.

He was still barricaded while giving out buffs and throwing out 'tricks' to help the fighting gods, and that was the sole reason that he was able to pick up the call that Felix initiated.

"Our side isn't doing well Felix, I think we might lose sooner or later, our frontliners had been injured and even though we do have healing gods, they can't keep up with the injuries that are currently being enforced on them, I'm doing my best to confuse the enemies and reinforce our allies, but things are very somber... I'm actually quite surprised your side won. It must have been a bittersweet victory, right?"

Felix gave out a negative response, the fight was rather hard, but the losses weren't anything special. It couldn't be considered an easy victory. However, it wasn't bittersweet either.

"I see. It seems you have grown certainly, a lot stronger. I didn't have time to analyze that before due to the current situation of the battlefield, but you may be actually stronger than me."

Felix was quite puzzled by his comment, he was already stronger than a god? That didn't make sense.

"I understand your confusion. As a god, my battle strength is really low, but I have been born of a higher life level than you. Technically and practically you are physically and mentally stronger than me. But I'm of a higher life level compared to you that doesn't mean much besides that I'm supposed to have a higher talent cap than you. But with your interdimensional crossing ability, that doesn't mean much."

"Ok, I explained enough. You want to help us, right?"

Felix nodded. He wanted to help them a bit if he could.

"Since you are connected to me due to the ability that I can have, you can send me a part of your battle power which I can transform into mine and increase our chances of survival and pushing the enemies back, I'm sure we can't actually win, but we have a chance to push them back and reinforce our realm to make them unable to come back in again."

"So, what do I need to do?"

"Very simple, concentrate the energy in your body and send it to our current connection."

Felix nodded as the energy in his body exploded like a volcano. His aura appeared all over his body, as it became just like a mesh armor that was absorbed into the connection he had with Aaltarox.

Aaltarox's voice suddenly became quiet.

On a bloody battlefield in a different dimension, a short man who was wearing a battle armor and a fishing hat suddenly got up from the barricaded trenches in which he was hiding.

An orange aura that was starting to turn a small tinge of yellow exploded from his body, just like a volcano would as he glared at the invading gods.

There wasn't a big difference between the appearances of the invading gods and the invaders of the realm below.

They were red-skinned with four arms, but they had a different, more unique aura compared to the barbarians that fought Felix below.

Intelligence shined in their eyes as they saw Aaltarox taking a step out of his hiding place and understood everything that was happening.

They entered a formation as they stood back to back, creating perfect defensive squares as the invaders amounted to around 30 people and the defenders to around 26. There were more people on Aaltarox's side, but they were either injured or not battle-ready gods.

The invaders started to charge their aura together to create a domain that enveloped all of the defenders together, but Aaltarox suddenly shouted as he struck his fist forward, breaking the newly rising domain.

Strength rose in his body, while Felix, who was currently sitting near the altar was getting weaker and weaker until all of his aura disappeared, his face was pale as he coughed up some blood. But his situation was alleviated seconds later, as color returned to his face.

He got up from his sitting position as he looked towards the sky from the garden who was still wilting and muttered:

"I have done my best helping you... I hope you can push them back."

Felix decided to return to the lion tribe as he wasted around 1 day, giving Aaltarox some of his power, and now, he had 3 more days to relax.
