I have Nine Lives

Chapter 164: An relatively epic battle

Chapter 164: An relatively epic battle

Felix couldn't believe he was getting overpowered by the rock being.

He just had evolved in a human form. He regained his base instincts and gained a multitude of abilities that could improve his battle power marginally.

Felix was continuously pushed backward by the runic beam of energy, and his body was starting to give out on him, no matter how hard he pushed back or used the gravitational force he had gained from dropping from the sky. He still couldn't push the beam backward.

Felix glanced away from the beam and then looked at the gigantic mountain that was currently supporting itself into the planet's ground.

His feet were planted into the ground creating two holes and damaging the planet. From what Felix could observe, it was also absorbing the planet's energy to fuel his beam's intensity and power.

Lightning-like energy was coming down from the holes that the giant inserted his feet in and ran through the runes all over his stony body before being charged directly in his mouth, where the beam slowly started to enlarge. Growing thicker and longer.

Felix's arms started to give up on him as he tried to push the beam back, his skin was getting shredded by the immense pushing force, and blood poured down from him like crazy.

His eyes stung from the radiation of the beam, and he knew that he couldn't endure anymore. So he slipped to the side and avoided the beam before it disintegrated his body into nothing.

The beam flew directly into space, hitting a few spaceships of the human federation, turning them into scraps.

The other ships avoided the remaining energy of the beam. And then sent a drone to scan whatever was happening on the surface of the planet.

Their eyes widened as they saw Felix's battered and bloody body almost falling from the sky. They couldn't believe there was someone on the planet who could reduce Felix to such a state.

Felix looked down at his arms as he felt his body and injuries close up at extremely quick speeds. Now that he wasn't in the way of the beam anymore, his regeneration capabilities finally kicked in, and in a few seconds, he was back to being good as new.

The radiation from the beam stopped his regeneration which was something that Felix noted down.

If he would ever meet someone with annoying regeneration capabilities like his, this information would be precious.

He could feel that the fire in his stomach grew a little bit weaker. Which meant the regeneration wasn't free of charge.

However, the weakening of his fire was minuscule compared to the fact that he was back to full health.

Felix's muscles inflated as he grew in size to 20 meters tall. When he was a cat, he could grow up to 2,5 meters because he was extremely short, but as a human, he went way further than that.

He didn't rival the monstrous mountain range that was almost thousands of meters tall, but it was still better than nothing.

He was way too small in his normal form. So he decided to make things a little bit more equal.

His techniques turned off after he got out of the way of the beam so he activated them once again. But before he could even launch his own attack, a gigantic green rock that was bigger than his whole body hit him directly and buried him into the ground.

Then another fist came over and started to pummel him continuously, trying to kill him.

The rock giant didn't pull his punches as he tried to disintegrate Felix, dust and shrapnel came out of the hole that the giant's fists created, and Felix was nowhere to be seen in this mess.

There was blood in the crater, but Felix's silhouette couldn't be found anywhere.

Felix had already activated his stealth and climbed on the giant's hand before using his special techniques to make himself feel weightless to the rock being.

The giant scratched his head as he looked around trying to find Felix. Did he destroy him thoroughly until nothing remained of him?

The giant wasn't dumb as he created that diversion with the abomination, so he didn't let his guard down. He knew in his heart that Felix must have played a trick to disappear like that, so he unleashed his aura to try and crush him out of his hiding.

His aura was blue, unlike Felix's green, it showed that he was one level above him, but the aura was murky and transparent, showing that he didn't break through to the blue level using all of his race's breathing techniques, and it was also of a rather low level.

He was an opponent that Felix could take on, hypothetically.

Felix ignored the pressuring aura that was descending upon his body, he had already reached the shoulder of this rocky giant, and he knew what he needed to do to take it down.

Any beings weakness was its head no matter what it was made from. At least, that's what Felix's instincts told him.

Felix jumped from the being's shoulder directly to its head as he scaled it at quick speeds using both his lightning armor and the new technique that quickened his blood flow.

He made his way to the being's antennae-like ears and jumped down the canal that lead down to the interior of the being's head.

He slid through the moss that was inside the rocky giant's ears and easily made it to the inside of its head.

The inside of the giant's head was very big. It almost felt like he was in the open doors if the perpetual darkness and the echo of his feet hitting the ground weren't so prominent.

Fortunately for him, he still retained his night vision from his cat form so he could easily see through the cavernous darkness that surrounded him.

He tried to find the being's local brain area so he could slash it to bits. However, he wasn't sure how he would be able to get the being's abilities. Maybe his armor would help him with that, the AI wasn't working anymore, but Felix knew how to operate that needle from his hands' area.

Felix jumped around in the head of the thing, as he glanced from side to side. It was just like walking in a normal cavern.

However, this peaceful exploration didn't last much as he felt the head shake. It seemed that the giant realized that Felix was in its head, and it didn't like that one bit.

It knew that if Felix found his core he would be done for. So he broke open his own head by striking it with his fists and pierced through with his fingers, trying to remove Felix.

Felix acrobatically dodged the fingers. They were trying to pinch him to death and throw him outside the giant's head.

But Felix had already removed his gigantification, and he was back to his 1,87 meters self, making it extremely hard for the giant to be able to pick him.

And to make things even harder, he morphed back into his primal cat form and ran away into the deeper parts of the thing's head.

Rage could be read on the giant's half-broken head as it tried its best to shake Felix out of his interior.

He didn't want to die yet!

Black tears came out of the giant's lone eye as it wanted to make a trade with Felix, while devious, in the end, he still succumbed to his primordial instinct of survival.

A booming voice was heard in Felix's ears, which Felix didn't understand. The AI wasn't there to translate anymore, so he ignored it.

He jumped around the crevices that remained around the giant's head before diving headfirst into a secluded place that he identified as the core location.

Felix flexed his body as he returned to his human form, lightning engulfed him as his skin turned pink. His eyes darted around looking for the main reason that the giant was able to move and think.

The core of the giant finally appeared in Felix's pupils as he looked at it directly. It was a shiny ruby the size of three moderately sized houses piled one atop the other. Standing around 8 meters tall.

Felix didn't wait for anything else as he unleashed his fists upon the ruby creating cracks and dents in it really quickly and making the giant shout in pain and anger as his offer for peace was ignored.

Felix gripped the ruby tightly as his body was almost thrown around as the giant tried his best to shake his head open and pry Felix out.

He didn't care if his whole body was destroyed. The core was what kept him alive, and as long as it existed, he would be able to regenerate into a new body, the more he lived, the bigger he would become to the point he would become a living planet!

All of his people's dreams were to increase in size and become inhabitable planets. They were a peaceful but strong race.

It couldn't understand why was it taken away from his people and thrown on this planet to be massacred by someone along with other pitiful races.

He gripped his head tightly as he removed it from his body and thrown it away, showing a levitating ruby where the left part of his head was previously, along with Felix clutching very hard on it and trying to break it into smithereens.
