I Became The Childhood Friend of the Obsessive Second Male Lead

Chapter 138

Chapter 138

“I was so happy to see the Princess that the words just didn’t come out properly.”

“How funny. Anyway, seeing you dressed like that, did they bother you yesterday?”

“They came yesterday. But their visit has nothing to do with my clothes.”

“You have a scratch on your arm somewhere, don’t you? That’s why you were wearing so many clothes?”

“I’m not scratched.”

“You’re kidding. Take it off.”

Elisha glanced at Noel, and he soon took a sip of the cold drink placed in front of him.

“It seems that the Lord is envious of my wearing this suit and hearing from the Princess that I am cool.”

“. . . What?”

“But the Princess is generous. She will give the Lord the same praise.”

“Oh, don’t be ridiculous. Why do I have to hear that from her!”

“You don’t want to hear it?”

“Rieta still has a long way to go to evaluate me. She’s still too young to say I’m cool.”

Having said that, Noel must have remembered something, and quickly pulled out a handkerchief he had in his pocket.

“Right. I was going to give this to you yesterday, but I couldn’t.”

The handkerchief he held out had the Duchy’s emblem engraved on it.

“. . . As expected, it seems that something happened yesterday.”

“Yes. It was great. You may even be touched by my friendship.”

“Even so, I am going to tell you. Lord.”

Elisha carefully took the handkerchief he had handed over.

“Thank you for all the kindness you have given me.”

He felt as if yesterday’s hardships had melted away at the polite greeting.

“I will not forget it.”

“Of course you should.”

“I will keep the secret that exists between the Lord and me forever.”

“It’s a matter of course, too.”

“And . . .”

Elisha hesitated a bit, but he hurried the words left over to the sound of Rieta’s footsteps returning.

“From now on, I will live a life that is not ashamed of the Lord’s friendship.”

“That.”

Was he saying he won’t be beaten by them now? Just as he was about to ask that . . .

The door to the parlor opened and Rieta returned.

The Princess was wearing a dress that was much lighter than before, and her hair was tied up coolly.

“What were you doing?”

“Princess.”

Elisha stood up, and he offered her the seat.

And so the three people ended up crumpling on the cramped two-seater sofa.

“The Lord was worried about my life.”

“Really? Noel must have really fallen in love with Elisha. Thank God.”

“You’re kidding, who?”

Just as Noel was about to answer, ‘Who likes a stiff guy like that?’

Elisha held out the handkerchief that he had received a while ago.

“He gave me a handkerchief.”

“Oh my God . . .”

Rieta turned to Noel with a face that was greatly moved.

“Noel.”

Those pretty eyes twinkled only toward Noel.

Noel felt happy inside.

As expected, he thought Rieta would be so happy if she gave Elisha her handkerchief.

Maybe she’ll say, ‘Thank you so much, Noel is so cool.’

“Thank you so much.”

Noel’s prediction was right from the first word.

Now all that was left was the best compliment, ‘Noel is so cool.’

He closed his eyes and waited for Rieta to praise him.

“Noel is so . . . huh?!”

But the lively voice stopped right in the middle.

When Noel opened her eyes in surprise, Elisha dared to place his palm over the mouth of the Princess who was his master, and was blocking it.

“What are you doing!”

When Noel questioned, Elisha answered, bowing his head slightly.

Noel thought that Elisha must also exchange words that only the two of them know in the Kingdom language.

They always make fun of Noel like that every time.

“Forgive me. Princess.”

But to his surprise, Elisha chose the Imperial language.

It is also an imperial language that was slightly sloppy.

“The Lord  hoped that the Princess would not judge him as ‘cool’.”

“. . .?!”

“I know it’s rude, but I had no choice but to go out for the sake of our friendship.”

Noel was so stunned that he jumped up from his seat and shouted “Hey!”

Elisha replied with a brazen face, “Yes?” Noel wanted to crumple his head if possible.

Of course, the situation was resolved peacefully.

“But it is my freedom to say Noel is cool. I’ll say it whenever I want to. And Noel, who gave you the handkerchief, is cool.”

It was thanks to Rieta’s declaration of freedom.

Noel smirked slightly with a ‘Did you see it?’

After that, he sat back down on the cramped chair.

Sitting together like this on a hot day could be a bit annoying, but all three of them were surprisingly happy.
