Human King

Chapter 93: Returning home (3)

Chapter 93: Returning home (3)

As the five goblins composed of Didi, Hig, Ika, Dal, and Una walked fast, Didi suddenly spoke.

"Come to think of it, we are the five goblins that the king taught."

Didi suddenly remembered that the goblins he was with right now were the goblins that fought with him back then.

Memories like that didn't matter much to goblins like Didi and the rest of them, but it seems Didi's point was not that as he continued speaking.

"Back then, we didn't believe in the king."

Didi's voice was solemn, and his eyes that were looking forward was somehow dark.

"The king picked us out of the all goblins, and he proceeded to hunt with us."

Didi closed his eyes as he continued walking. It wasn't too hard for him as he just felt the land with his feet.

"And then Raen began to attack, and we were able to defeat him. The time we had was fun until one of the Four Big Villages decided to attack us."

"Time seems to fly fast. The village was small back then, but now we have so many goblins. We are so much stronger."

"I think our village is one of the rulers of the forest now. Nobody could mess with us in the woods."

"And despite that...this still happened."

Didi slowly opened his eyes. He was so concentrated that he didn't mind that other goblins were looking at him strangely.

No...was it because all the goblins felt the same way as him that they all looked like they were waiting for something?

It was weird because normal goblins shouldn't even have the capability of being able to think for themselves.

The four goblins that were walking with Didi were also looking at him the same way the other goblins were looking at him.

Either way, Didi didn't really mind it as he kept walking and talking at the same time.

"When I saw the king on the ground with blood near him, my mind went blank."

"I didn't know what to do, but my body moved faster than my mind could think of possible actions."

"I was able to get in there fast, distracting the enemy. However, that wasn't enough."

"I thought of attacking, destroying the land, taking the king, butI wasn't decisive enough."

"Thanks to the Elder's quick thinking, I had a general direction of where to go and what to do."

"We were forced to retreat with the king, and despite that, the king was still exposed to danger."

Didi then turned around to look back at the four goblinsno, he turned to look at the goblins that have grouped together in this place.

This place wasn't the place where Dawn was resting, so it was weird that so many goblins are staying in here.

However, the goblins here trusted Karkas as much as Dawn trusted him. That was why they thought that it would be fine as long as Karkas is still releasing his pressure.

The pressure that looms over the forest now.

And Didi for sure takes the pressure that Karkas was releasing now as some sort of assurance as he continued speaking without worry for his king.

"Although we are lacking, the king isn't. He is a perfect being that will lead us goblins."

"He is not like us goblins that you could find anywhere in the forest, land, or wherever it is. He is the embodiment of goblin itself."

"And I want you all to know that. To know that"

Didi then breathed in deeply as he looked at the goblins from eye to eye. His lungs moved as it took in the air for Didi.

Didi's presence in this area right now was so significant that every goblin could feel something different from Didi.

However, it was not in a bad way. In fact, despite his strength and all, even normal goblins could relate to Didi right now.

They all listened to Didi as if Didi was a teacher and they were his students.

Huuu! Didi finished breathing in as his nose made some nasal noise. It was weird that he took so much air, but the goblins here didn't mind it.

They all watched Didi with intense eyes. And with their intense eyes, they saw his body move as his mouth opened up wide.

Didi then shouted with a powerful voice.

"The king is different!"

The king is different!

Those words resounded out in the land and shook the leaves of the forest.

Although Didi's voice was not thunderous, it echoed out in the forest as it was heard by the goblins far away from him.

And it was heard by Karkas, who was staying and standing by Dawn's side.

"King"

It was also heard by Moris, who was standing on top of a branch of a tree near Dawn.

"I'm glad that the king has someone like that." Moris smiled as he listened to the crying voice of a goblin.

Even the goblins who were late to the battle heard it, Razta, Yamu, Wos, and Mos. There were many goblins who have been blessed by the battlefield but unable to step up.

It was because they weren't able to get back in time when Karkas set off, or Karkas ordered it so.

Either way, they were fine with the results of the battle as the king was saved, and the enemies were finished off.

However, they were also frustrated that it has come to this point. Although not most of them are absurdly loyal to the king, those feelings would soon change in time.

It was then.

As they looked at the night sky with conflicted emotions, Didi's voice reverberated throughout the forest once more.

"The king's death is something all of us cannot pay for! Even if the goblin race is wiped out, the king must not die!"

Didi raised his hand as he continued speaking. His voice became louder and louder as if he couldn't be stopped!

"Even if the whole forest is against us, the king must not die!"

"Even if the whole world is against us, the king must not die!"

"Even if the sky itself is against us, the king must not die!"

"Do you understand that, goblins?!!"

And as if Didi's voice weren't enough, the goblins shouted back with vigor.

"OaHHHHHHH!!!!"

Noit was the forest itself that answered Didi's question!

"The king must not die!!!"
