Chapter 149: Tribal Chief
Chapter 149: Tribal Chief
"I will become your servant!" The little goblin said as he looked at Dawn's red eyes of anger.
Of course, he was still shaking, but it was amazing that he was even able to speak out.
After all, the goblin that he was facing was not just any other goblin; it was the King of Goblins!
Even if Dawn doesn't really have the necessary strength deserving his title, King of Goblins, the fact is that he is the king.
It was impressive that a measly peasant could even look up to the king while he is angry!
That is not something one could do, not even Moris! After all, Moris could only look down when he talked with Dawn about Dusk.
And it was because of that, Dawn had a wide smile on his face.
Of course, his eyes were still red as if he could control his rage now.
Well, Dawn could always control his rage, but the rage that he had ever since he had that dream was just...limitless.
His rage didn't have any limits any more as Dawn had not bothered to control it right after that dream.
And it was then that Dawn spoke once more with that kind of rage.
"Why do you think I would accept a weak servant?"
Of course, Dawn had no plans to accept a rude servant. Although he was interested in this little goblin, the way this goblin acted was enough for Dawn to kill him.
However, there was one thing that stopped his hand. And that was the little goblin's words.
"I can just take away your tribe's treasure for myself."
"After all, if you don't tell me where it is, I will kill you!"
Dawn said as he remembered what the little goblin said. It was that he would give his tribe's treasure and the secret monster pot.
Although Dawn didn't know if this little goblin was lying, he didn't care.
A normal goblin who was able to talk so clearly and stand up to him said it.
What's more, the fire in his eyes was brighter than ever!
Dawn just couldn't believe that a goblin such as this one would lie just for his safety.
"So, where is it?" Dawn said as he tightened his grip on the little goblin's head.
One could see the little goblin's face distort and his skin be pulled by Dawn's grip.
After all, no matter how passionate this goblin is, Dawn was still stronger than him.
There's no way he could just defend against Dawn, and the little goblin knew that as well, which is why he spoke.
"W-wait! Wait! Wait!"
"I give you the treasure! Just let me live and be in your tribe!"
"Give me the protection until I could become a strong goblin and take my revenge against those bastards!"
The little goblin said without missing a single thing. Of course, he knew that his life was in danger.
However, the only thing that the little goblin could focus on was that Dawn was powerful.
And to become stronger, the little goblin knew that he needed a tribe again.
He needed someone to become his shield until he could kill monsters!
He needed someone to become his shield until he was sure that he could kill those who killed his fellow goblins!
That was why the little goblin continued speaking once more.
"If you don't take me as your servant, you won't be able to find the treasure or the secret monster pot that I told you!"
And when Dawn heard that, he threw the little goblin away as if he were throwing away some trash.
Thud! The little goblin couldn't even notice that he was flung away, and it only registered him the pain that his back received from colliding with a tree!
"Ahk!!" The little goblin gasped as he grabbed the weed on the ground.
His saliva was flowing out of his mouth, and he was beginning to sweat.
After all, it's not like Dawn's pressure was not real. Even if this goblin was indeed courageous, Dawn could still kill him.
What's more, just by Dawn throwing him was enough to make this goblin feel his power more clearly!
That was why the little goblin had his eyes wide open. After all, at this rate, he was sure that Dawn would kill him!
However, it seems that was wrong as Dawn continued speaking.
"If this treasure of yours isn't that good, you would regret things."
"And if this secret monster pot that you talked about isn't that special...I would kill you!"
Dawn said, and what he meant was that he would accept the little goblin as his subordinate! He would accept the little goblin as his servant!
Well, that was the most reasonable outcome that could come out of this conversation.
Why? It was because the little goblin had something that Dawn wanted to make this journey more colorful.
Besides, the little goblin was rude, but that could be fixed in the future.
After all, even Moris was rude enough to observe Dawn for a while.
That was why the little goblin had his eyes wide open and the little goblin was shaking!
Even though the little goblin didn't expect this would happen at all, he was happy.
After all, the little goblin just came upon here when he finally decided to escape.
It was just a coincidence and now he got the very basic a goblin needed to live; a village or a tribe.
Of course, it was not without a price. The little goblin had a job, and he knew that very well.
That was why the little goblin stood up immediately and spoke once more.
"The tribe's treasure won't disappoint you! I'm sure you would want it." The little goblin said as he turned his body around.
"Follow me."
He then started to walk and he disappeared into the dark forest.
And while he was walking away, Dawn had a thought.
---This guy is really cocky. I should have someone teach him a lesson soon.
Dawn thought as he signaled for the goblins to start walking and follow the little goblin.
Of course, none of them objected to Dawn's decision to stay here for any longer or even try to explore this place.
After all, Dawn was the king. And the king's words are the same as the law.
That was why each and every single goblin started to walk towards the place where the little goblin was going.
Of course, Dawn too started to walk as this group of goblins started to vanish into the forest.
****
It didn't take long for the group of goblins to reach their destination. After all, it was literally just around the corner.
And when they reached it, the little goblin, who was guiding the goblins to the treasure, spoke once more.
Of course, he spoke to Dawn, the king. It was weird that he didn't talk to Moris or Didi or even Una, but it seems that the goblins weren't that mad about it.
After all, Dawn already permitted this little goblin to talk to him.
"Here it is. This is the place where the tribe used to be, but it was destroyed by some monsters that I don't know the identity of."
The little goblin said. This wasn't the place where the tribe's treasure was located, nor was this the place where the secret monster pot was located.
This place was just the place where the goblin tribes were located before, and the reason why they were here was that Dawn ordered the little goblin to bring them here.
After all, Dawn wanted to see the goblin tribes, and when he did, he was shocked beyond belief.
Why? It was because it was just the forest, and it didn't have anything one could call a house.
It was as if the goblin tribes were used to living in the forest itself.
Of course, Dawn proceeded to ask the goblin as he looked down on it.
"Where do you guys live? I don't think anyone could live in here."
Dawn said as he looked at the trees. There was not a single sign that one could live in here. Not even Dawn would want to live in an open place where a threat could visit them anytime.
"We just live in the trees or some holes that we could find. We are not like the normal goblin villages." The little goblin said.
"We have a tradition that we follow from our ancestors, and that is why the goblin tribes do not follow any of the new ways."
"However...it was all destroyed!" The little goblin said as he bit his lips while clenching his fists.
And when Dawn heard that, he spoke immediately.
"How come you know so many things about your goblin tribe? Although you are already weird, the fact that you know many things about it is even weirder."
Dawn said as he looked down on the little goblin. However, the next thing that he heard blew his mind.
"I am...the tribal chief's son. In other words, I am the next tribal chief."
