Human King

Chapter 122: Returning home (32)

Chapter 122: Returning home (32)

"Ahuuu!" The wolf howled as it turned the body around.

The wolf saw that the goblins were about to charge at him, and that was why it decided to do this.

Boom!

The wolf grabbed the land with its claws and bent its knees to prepare itself.

After all, one of the wolf's legs was injured, and the wolf couldn't walk properly.

That was why the wolf was counting on its hopping strength, and it seems the wolf was right in doing so as it leaped!

The wolf leaped so high in the sky and with a speed that the goblins couldn't follow!

And so, the wolf was able to run away from the goblins without a problem.

And because of that, the goblin who was determined to die, Razta, had his eyes wide open.

"What just happened..." Razta murmured as he looked at the place where the wolf was standing before.

He then closed his eyes as fast as he can, and when he opened them again, the wolf was still not there.

And he repeated that process almost tens of times.

After all, he couldn't believe it! Even the other goblins couldn't believe it as they just stared at the sky in silence.

It was so silent here that it was unthinkable that there was an intense battle going on here just a few seconds ago.

Even the deadly pressure that the goblins had when they started to rush the wolf was now gone!

Not even the normal goblins could believe what just happened!

It was that much of a shock. After all, they were about to lose, and all of them knew that.

However, the winner...just backed out of the fight without delivering the finishing blow?

"What the..." Wos murmured, and it was heard by all of the goblins.

After all, it was silent here.

And because of that, the blessed goblins were able to get their wits together.

Razta turned around and asked with a face that seems to say what he had in mind.

"What just happened?" Razta said with a weak voice.

Even though going to a deathmatch didn't make him weak in the knees, what happened made him so.

After all, he was sure that the wolf was now gone. Even if he couldn't use Aura anymore, his instincts were still there.

"I-I don't know as well." Garistoka said as he looked at Wos.

Garistoka knew that if there were someone with a brain with them, that would be Wos.

Although most of them knew how to battle, Wos was the one who actually thinks things through.

That was why even Razta was looking at Wos right now, expecting an answer.

And, of course, Wos knew what the other goblins were thinking, so he quickly spoke.

"I think the wolf was probably more injured than we thought. There's no way the wolf would just run when he could have finished us off."

Wos said what was on his mind literally, and he was pretty confident that he was correct.

The wolf has been fighting for a long time, and it started with a fresh Razta.

Although Razta was only inside its mouth, that in itself should still be taxing for the wolf.

What's more, the trees that Mos used accumulated damage, and even the rocks were enough to kill any monster in the forest.

Besides, the wolf also faced Razta when he recovered a little bit.

"Hmm. Now that you mention it, we did a lot of things to him." Razta said as he put a hand on his chin.

It only came back to him now since he was so heated during the battle that he didn't give a fuck about anything else.

Well, all of them were so concentrated in this battle as this concerns the most important goblin.

That was why it wasn't weird for the wolf to run if it were damaged to a certain degree.

After all, even Dawn was running from the Warmen after knowing he wouldn't be able to win.

It isn't that weird for a monster like a wolf to just run once it realizes that it would die as well.

"What do we do now? We still have to clear the forest, and..." Wos said as he looked at Razta and the other goblins.

It was obvious, but many of them were exhausted, and some can't even stand.

And the distance that they have to cover to come back to their village was long.

And the main point of this batch of goblins was to clear the monsters in the forest.

Although they have managed to fend off a strong pack of wolves, there may be more, or there may be none.

And if there were more, Wos couldn't imagine that they would be able to succeed.

"This is really bad..." Razta said as his face turned into a frown.

He knew what Wos was thinking, and he knew them very well.

The fact that they are no longer a fighting force stings him and the overall situation.

They just lost 300 goblins from the Warmen, and now, it seems to be more appropriate to say that the goblins here were also wiped out.

Just from two battles, almost 500 goblins were gone from Dawn's village!

And Razta, as the leader and commander, have to make a decision.

He has to make a decision on what they would do from now on.

And the decision that Razta came to was...

"We'll wait for Karkas here, and tell him the situation."

After all, pushing it too far is not a good idea.

It seems the other blessed goblins also agreed with him as they didn't speak.

And because of that, they were able to hear it.

Dududududu!

Thud!

Boom!

They were able to hear the goblins who were running so fast to catch up to them!

It was the goblins that were escorting the king! The guards of the king!

"They're near..." Razta said as he regretted it.

He regretted that he wasn't able to make an excellent contribution to their journey.

He regretted that he wasn't able to make the path safe for the king.

"Will He forgive me?"
