Godlike Player in a Game-Like World

Chapter 251 Another Blue Grade Item

Even though he was still able to easily sidestep the stones that were being thrown at him, the increased speed and number of stones were beginning to make it more difficult for him.

In the end, even if he managed to avoid them by using his reflexes and by calculating the direction in which the stones would hit his body, at the next level, with the agility he now had, his body wouldn't be able to find enough speed to avoid them. So he had to solve this speed problem with his next technique.

''Sure. '' Raydon said.

''Really? '' Mell began to worry that her wishful request would not be granted when she did not receive a response from him for some time. However, she suddenly let out a joyful cry when she heard his response.

''However, I'm going to need to borrow your dagger. '' Raydon spoke again.

''Ah, yes, yes, of course. '' Mell exclaimed with elation as she frantically reached for her dimensional storage in an attempt to retrieve her dagger.

''But… M-Miss Diam? '' However, when she realized that she still had no control over her body, she spoke in a tense tone.

Mell was about to call out once more, wondering why Diam was still restricting her movements at such an important moment, but the following scene that played out in front of her caused her to hold back her words.

''What's this? '' Raydon remarked as he watched as a sudden plume of black smoke flew in his direction and arrived in front of him.

This black smoke came to a stop in front of Raydon, ignoring the stones that were still flying around, and all of a sudden began to transform into a pitch black dagger.

''What the hell? It's cool. '' Raydon's eyes widened in awe as he beheld the dagger before him.

Its unique design captivated him, featuring a pitch-black handle seamlessly melded with a blade of the same color. The mysterious allure emanating from the weapon enticed him, and without hesitation, he extended his hand and swiftly grasped the dagger, feeling its weight and balance in his grip.

And not long after that, Cael's voice could be heard reverberating throughout the entire training room. ''I want to show our appreciation for the technique you showed us by giving you this gift. ''

Raydon's eyebrows raised in surprise as he examined the dagger in his hand. "A gift? So, besides this, there's still another blue-grade item you owe me," he remarked, noting the grade of the dagger.

''Yes. Don't worry, I promise on behalf of the Demugen family that from this point forward, you will never again be mistreated in this family. '' Although Cael was nowhere to be found, the solemn tone of his voice continued to reverberate throughout the training room.

'Did this guy hit his head somewhere or something?'  When Raydon saw his attitude, he couldn't help but wonder. The individual who seemed to suffer even when he had promised Raydon only one blue-grade item some time ago was now giving him another blue-grade item out of the blue, even though Raydon didn't ask himself for it.

What Raydon did was simply explain the flaws in the technique that they were using, and then he showed them the correct technique. This wasn't even a big deal for him because he didn't even teach them the technique.

'Well, whatever the reason is. ' Raydon flashed a grin as he examined his new item and murmured to himself.

''Now that I've been compensated for this insignificant task, I should take things a little more seriously. But first, I must state that this is not a movement technique, which is why you've been using it incorrectly all along. '' Raydon said as he prepared to use the technique.

''Not a movement technique? What on earth were we learning and teaching all this time?  And why does he have so much knowledge about this? '' Arden said as he looked at Cael, who hadn't been around for a while but had suddenly come to give Raydon a blue-grade item and had started to watch him without saying anything.

''Cael, where is family head? '' After noticing that Cael was maintaining his silence and felt something wrong, Thalia questioned him.

"My father's match has just ended, and he is currently resting in his room. I'll explain everything later, so don't worry," Cael assured them, his tone serious. He continued, his gaze fixed on Raydon, "For the time being, all I ask is that you simply focus on him. You may not get this opportunity again."

As soon as they picked up on the extremely solemn tone that Cael was projecting, they came to the conclusion that they should stop asking questions about it and instead direct their focus back to Raydon, who was getting ready to use the technique.

"This technique actually has the potential to be classified as an attack technique. '' Raydon said.

With each passing second, Raydon's previous smile became less noticeable, and the once bright gray eyes that he had appeared to be losing their light and becoming darker.

"And the name of this technique is."

Gradually, all signs of emotion vanished from his countenance, leaving his face devoid of any expression. His gray eyes seemed to possess an uncanny magnetism, as if they were two black holes, drawing in the surrounding light.

'This is incredible.' Mell couldn't help but be in awe as she witnessed this remarkable transformation before her eyes.

Mell and Galen experienced an overwhelming sense of vulnerability when they were confronted by those two emotionless eyes. It was as if their deepest, darkest secrets were exposed before those penetrating orbs. In that moment, the weight of their concealed burdens became palpable as the masks they wore crumbled before the relentless gaze.

Everyone held their breath as they waited with bated breath, their curiosity and attention fully piqued by Raydon. Everyone's attention was on him as they waited for him to reveal the name of this transcendent technique that had captivated them.

And then, at long last, Raydon said.

''Godlike focus. ''

Apparently, this was just another name he made up on the spur of the moment.
